I don't know what the fuck lists I ended up on, but I have gotten half-a-dozen Medicare/whatever calls just today and a shitload in the last week, and it's all Indian dudes and dudettes named David, Mark, John, Tom, Tammy, Susan, Jane, Sarah, Lisa, Amy, etc. (surprising very few AI for whatever reason) saying that they've received my information and I'm eligible for this or they need to make sure the information is correct or whatever.  Thankfully my phone is marking most as spam, although I've been letting my kids answer the phone and try to tell them about the wonders of Minecraft or Bluey.  I've also occasionally answered with "Excuse Me Sir, Do You Have a Moment to Talk About Jesus Christ? No sir, my medical care is not more important, it's your relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that is on the line here!"

These people are probably scamming a shitload of seniors, but hopefully more and more are getting marked as spam.

no. But I’m getting lots of texts from people who have reviewed my resume from various sources - and they all think I would be ideal to work for them. It apparently entails an hour of work a day for which they’ll pay me $9000 a month. Seems legit… despite me not having a resume and all.

Lately I've been getting a shitload of spam calls from a 424-287-XXXX numbers (I don't know anyone in Los Angeles), but they either don't speak at all or speak such broken English I can't understand them.

When I get an Indian spam caller and am feeling extra surly I give them shit about how Sir Viv Richards was a 100x better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar.

My default rule is every email, text, and call is a scam and I never answer any of them (or open attachments) unless I'm certain I know who they are.

Working at a retail business I get regular calls that caller ID shows as local.  Same female voice on every one says it is Google checking for location accuracy, press 1 or 2 to confirm or deny, neither of which has any response. Dialing back the caller number shown results in dead air.  The idea that someone can call from a nonexistent untraceable number shows what a piece of crap our communication system has become.

For some reason, I've received a boatload of texts over the last week or so, spelling my name correctly, and telling me I've been approved for $40,000 or so whatever loan and they want me to call in and finalize it.

I finally replied with a get fucked text, and within seconds, received a "you have been removed yada yada" text.
