If Arch can get rattled in a game where his line gave him all fucking day to throw because club music was playing loud in the stadium we have big problems. He had clean pockets and receivers open all over the field. That 3rd and 5 on the last drive where he threw 1-2 yards behind a crossing receiver that would have easily converted a first down where arch threw side armed off his back foot was totally unacceptable for a third year QB. This is not about Ohio State, the guy had bad mechanics and accuracy and that has to be addressed yesterday or this is going to be a long season.

Someone show the All-22, I want to see receivers open all over the field.

Did Gilbert get all this hype by the 9.95ers before the season too? Didn’t pay attention back then like now.

All of them were hyping manning up like he’s the real deal. Not saying he still can’t be but I did expect better.

Were we gaslighted?

Gaslighting fans is their business model.

Their oline owned our defense.

We're all talking about the same game, right? Losing that game after that defensive performance is just fucking embarrassing for Sark and the offense.

I'm guessing many will neg me for this, and maybe I'm just justifying a stupid gameplan; and I'm not saying Sark didn't want to win. But, that was about as vanilla as I've ever seen Sark be. He knows winning the SEC is more important than a win or loss today, that will have zero bearing on our season if we do. Maybe he didn't want to showcase our full offense to the rest of the conference. 4D chess.  Again, maybe I'm an idiot and justifying Sark also being an idiot.

Nah bro, it is really hard to open up the playbook until your offensive can execute the most basic of plays..

There is no way I will call something exotic when the defense is sitting on it because the basic plays aren't being executed.  Forget the retards on surely, they know football as much as I do rocket science

Like that worked at any time?

Haven't posted in over a year, but the wife is already threatening a divorce over my venting. Here in Europe and I had to work, so I've only been able to see the boxscore.

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED!? 7 months and our supposedly offensive genius HC and his 5 star qb that's been on campus for two years manage a single touchdown against a team breaking in a new DC?

FML.  Sark peaked in September of 2023. We've done jack shit against anybody with a pulse since then.

Tell her to calm down. Tell her that she obviously knows nothing about football, even for a woman.

Our defense played their asses off. Giving up 14 points and two yards a play despite zero help from the offense is a day’s work.

Anyone who blames this game on anything other than arch being terrible is doing it wrong.
d was awesome. Line play was good. We ran for 4.5 a carry.  I absolutely believe in arch. He lost us this game. It happens.

Sark and the offensive game plan was horrible, so were penalties.

Arch will improve... I don’t hold that same optimism for Sark.

This.. I can get behind this. How many times did we see the pirate only need a QB who could hit a receiver in stride and a wr who could get an opening off their first step.  Fat linemen who only had to bump a faster, more talented lineman for a second...right now we have a line that had no problem giving the QB time, but we have WRs that don't get open and a QB that failed to hit the dumpoff

fuck that shit.  Mike Leach never won a fucking thing.  He was personable, and he made fun of Aggies, but Sark has accomplished more drunk than Leach ever did.

Texas’ best wide receiver today was Parker Livingstone. That’s a problem

Maybe we should have hit those fairly short passes to Wingo when he was wide open. Might have changed a thing or two.

If you're going to bring Ewers into it, how many times does he self sack? Does he get injured? Does the defense bring the house and dare him to throw deep? Just stop trying to think the game would be exactly the same and you can magically turn the outcome of the game by deleting Arch for a few plays and inserting Ewers there.

With the pockets today Ewers takes a sack or two more than Arch but carves them up on all the bullshit Arch threw out there today.

He was fucking bad. Don’t sugarcoat it

We called all kinds of exotic shit with our drop backs and route trees. We just didn’t call any of our usual motion and deception stuff.

Arch had some nice throws that showed the upside but obviously missed way too many of the easy ones. I was impressed by his pocket presence for this tage and his running ability is huge. On one hand, almost all inexperienced QBs are going to struggle in that environment especially with the WRs getting outplayed by the OSU DBs. On the other, he's been here 2 years so you'd hope Mr. QB Whisperer had fixed some of the footwork/mechanics issues.

Sark also needs to give up red zone gameplanning/playcalling. At the end of the day, we almost doubled their total yards but had 0 points on 2 trips inside the 10. Even with Arch's misses, that's the game right there.

Also, can we get Jason Kelce to come teach us how to do the tush push? No reason we should be this bad at it with Arch's size/athleticism.

Guess who was just about tied for basically tied for #2 on ypc and total yards rushing!

Guess who improvised most of his rushing yards!

Take away Manning's 13 yd run for a first down and he averaged about 2 ypc. Not exactly the Vince Young I had in mind. Sark looking like the Quarterback Supergluer

I’m not making my point very well. At all. Bad offensive plays and bad calls (especially at significant points in the game) are what lost it. Defense played perfectly well enough to win the game.

And surprisingly enough they were on the three types of plays we know he’s good at. Weird

I keep seeing you say this and while I agree with about half of it, I think it’s a reasonable expectation for your QB to be able to hit the easy plays the that the defense gives you. The first drive alone there were 2 obvious plays where he simply did not execute. The last drive was kinda the opposite of Ewers in execution. No way Sark is calling that route to Endries with Ewers due his poor execution with that type of throw. But Arch can’t make a baddass throw like that and then turn around and fail on a simple flat route to Endries or the crosser to Wingo. We rightfully ridiculed Ewers with the same missed execution to Golden on a crucial play against Clemson. He needs to be money on those plays. Again, I agree that Sark had some wtf play calls.

I'm not sure throwing on the move would help a QB that couldn't throw standing still.

I’m not sure one has anything to do the other. He seems to throw very well offer rhythm , office his wrong foot, etc. when he is moving. It could get him out of his head as well, and maybe loosen up the defense with the run option.

Way more so than 1 run over that didn’t effect the score board.

It gave them 2 first downs.

A facemask penalty on Texas's Colin Simmons turned a fourth down into a first down for Ohio State, advancing their drive to the Texas 18-yard line.

Malik Muhammad was then flagged for defensive holding, which further moved the ball for Ohio State, allowing them to score the game's first touchdown on a short run from C.J. Donaldson.

To not just shit on the D, 3 times false starts took us from 3rd and short to 3rd and long.

They really hurt.

Because we lose every big game.  Beating a below 500 OU team isnt exactly big.  What game have we won recently would you consider big

This right here.

Thinking that play calling was the issue shows how fucking stupid you really are.

QB play was the reason we lost.
