Wingo's I hope. He's deliriously over-rated IMO.

That's stupid. He is a true sophomore. He blocks his ass off. He is very dangerous once he has the ball in his hands. It is obvious when watching the games that he is one of our few players on offense that could actually scare opposing defenses if he and Manning figure out their issues.

Is this meant to be impressive? Good lord. I was probably clocked at faster than that this morning going through a HIIT workout with some ex-military friends.

Surely this doubling down is a commitment to the bit in a very satirical way, but I honestly can't tell.

Lol, he fucking sucks and is a net negative to the team. To be dangerous with the ball in your hands you have to actually, you know, have the ball in your hands. He’s a lazy route runner and can’t catch. Give me another Livingstone 10x over him.

This is a terrible take.

He just needs time and experience. He's pressing right now, but no one on the team has the explosive burst and speed that guy has, so you have to stick with him to let him develop.

The majority of the offense are guys who are inconsistent now because they lack experience. Wingo, Arch, Washington, everyone on the line not named Campbell, and Baxter. Livingstone has been surprisingly consistent, and Moore has been fine but Arch isn't finding him.

The most concerning thing to me about Arch right now is he is consistently turning down winners. That was a horrible trait Ewers had as well. If Arch doesn't snap out of that with experience it'll be an indictment on the QB coaching.

Why the fuck should we care how a receiver who is productive for us gets here or where they came from? What difference does it possibly make?
You are just looking for shit to complain about.

I don’t care if our NFL level WR’s are homegrown or transfers. What I do care about is that we actually get them here. Because if we don’t get them here via the transfer portal and if we don’t see our homegrown talent developing quickly, then we end up in our current situation where Parker Livingstone is our best WR. Which isn’t a slight against Parker because I think he is a very talented WR. However, most people on this board, before the season started, wouldn’t have predicted that Parker would be our best WR right now, let alone the second or even third best WR. And that may speak to a bigger problem about how our homegrown WR’s are developing.

Oh, bullshit. We have had a number of receivers the last few years who were good, aggressive downfield blockers. Don't act like this is a chronic problem.

I'm afraid at this point that he comes from the Tyler Owens school, albeit at a higher level, of big, fast and strong kids who aren't that gifted at the game of football. I pray he proves me wrong.

This is as a former receiver trying to keep my eye on him in Columbus.

Do you mean the homegrown WR that just won an award for SEC freshman of the week or did you forget about him.  What I see is a player that has worked his ass off and developed nicely.

Saying Wingo sucks is like saying Bijan sucks as a RB when his coach doesn't give him the ball. The guy hasn't had a good ball thrown to him when he ran good routes and was wide open.

Counterpoint Livingstone is homegrown and developed into our best receiver 🤯

Yeah, the lone homegrown WR that the consensus thought was a WR #4 at best and who CTJ thought was just a JAG. What about the rest?

Perhaps most people on the board don't know what the fuck they're talking about. Perhaps they get caught up in goobers like CTJ doing a bit. Perhaps they only thought that because he's a goofy white kid.

Jordy Nelson was a goofy white kid the same size and similar speed as Livingstone. Was he not worthy of being a #1 college receiver?

We have to wait to see how this plays out, but right now, 2 games in, a RS freshman goofy white kid is one of the most polished looking young WR in the conference.

Leading the WR's in all categories

Who writes these headlines? Early returns are certainly promising, but "great"? How many great WRs has Texas even had in its history, like four?

Our homegrown WR room has been pretty average at best so far under Sark. Thankfully, we were gifted Xavier Worthy by Michigan, as well as Golden, AD Mitchell, and Bond through the transfer portal.

Yet, the best of the rest (excluding Parker) consists of two inconsistent WR’s in Deandre Moore
and Ryan Wingo, who probably just needs a new set of eyes to see the football.

We still don’t know what we have with the true freshman: Kaliq Lockett, Daylon McCutcheon, Jaime Ffrench and Michael Terry.

Aaron Butler is a JAG and Ryan Niblett is still trying to find himself in life (and a permanent position).

Not to mention the other WR recruits who are no longer with the program: Johntay Cook, Brenen Thompson, Savion Red and Freddie DuBose Jr.

Ohio State rolls out of bed and steps onto a 1st round pick at WR every year it seems like.

We have been spoiled through providence and the transfer portal with our recent influx of NFL talent. Maybe this latest homegrown WR class will turn things around. There is still much uncertainty right now with our current group.

Get bent.

By now, you should know the 9.95'ers are into hyperbole and clickbait.

But, to your point, early returns on Livingstone are certainly promising. IDK if he's ever gonna be considered as highly as Jordan Shipley or Roy Williams, but the coaching staff is very high on him.

Well, it certainly seems like the only wr that actually catch the ball with their hands are the ones that transfer in. I’d like to think the Wr coach would work on and improve that. And make sure the Wr can run proper routes. But here we are complaining how it’s an issue every year, so maybe, just maybe he’s not great at teaching.

Orakpo had some interesting thoughts on poor hand placement from the WRs. He singled out Wingo’s pinkies touching before the infamous drop. He said that’s 100% coachable.

Ball above the waist, thumbs together. Ball below the waist, pinkies together. Catch it with your hands

My point has been the same throughout these posts. Other posters have been all over the map reading into things that are not there. Our non-transfer WR’s, outside of Parker Livingstone, are not developing into consistent performers. And this is starting to look like a “homegrown” problem. Hopefully, our transfer WR (Mosley) is the real deal and can get healthy enough to help carry the WR load that is currently missing right now with Wingo, Moore, etc.

So, are you completely discounting Golden and Bolden, from way way back in 2024? Two games in and you're declaring a problem with the WRs when there's clearly been some passing issues and we played OSU's D in one of those games?

Seriously, share your drugs, it's unkind to horde.
