Probably because he is trying to hide a rifle

Which would make sense but pictures of him in the stairwell show no signs of the said concealed rifle.  timeline is jacked up.  the video of the limp is before the event walking toward campus.  the stairwell photos not so sure of timing.  could he have stashed rifle on the roof then come back down and up and thats what the stairs photo are?  Perhaps he concealed in his pants, dis-assembled it on campus, then put it together on the roof?  possibly, but wouldn't really make sense

Unless the video/pictures were before the shot, or from the roof jump not a rifle, or limpgate was bullshit?

MN has it. Guy picked the perfect angle to escape given the crowd is all on the other side of that building.

Uh, why would they be looking? Everyone that was aware of what happened in that moment was on the other side of the building.

Yep. Making it public right now would only cause him to run. Trying to pin him down first.

Maybe a good reminder for this thread when you're thinking of posting a dubious link from Twitter.

Or crystal clear photos of the suspect god damn.

Because the gun shot noise isn't just oblivious to one side of the building... after the gun noise you would also hear the mass screaming from the thousands in attendance.

white car driving towards him after he landed had to damn near see him jump withe the drivers peripherals , land and run from the roof unless he timed it all perfectly.

I don't see a rifle when he jumped off that roof. Both of his legs bend when he hits he ground. Maybe he put the gun out in the woods before the shooting just to throw things off?? Also in the video with him limping, I just don't see how you can fit a damn 30.06 in your pant leg.

This is just observer bias. No one in that video had any clue what happened except for him in that moment.

at the moment yes,  probably didnt know Charlie Kirk was just shot. but anyone jumping off a roof of a building would probably raise some red flags if someone saw him jump.

Maybe theyre all listening to music or have air pods in. idk.

Jfc, I don’t own a gun. Will one of you idiots shove a deer rifle down your pants and film yourself walking around your garage in whatever exurbs you live in and post it here so we can decide this?

Wait. It’s gonna be @Brisketexan isn’t it?

never mind. I prefer the mystery.

A bolt-action center-fire rifle is pretty inevitably going to have to be at least 30" long, more likely 34" or 36" or even longer.  We all know most dudes that arent storks wear about 30-34" inseam.  So the pants aren't going to be able to take that length, entirely.

You'd probably have to stick it in your pants muzzle-down because there just isn't room for the stock in a pants leg, plus you'd probably want the stock around your waist to keep the whole thing from sliding out the bottom.

Because the barrel and end of the forearm is relatively skinny, you could probably bend your knee a little bit, but that thing is going to be poking you in the guts pretty good and the more pronounced effect might be at the waist and in the thigh/hip.

And yeah, it's going to "print" pretty well in the thigh and waist of the pants.

He absolutely has something with him the entire time running across the roof then jumping down.

If you are just some dude or dudette going about your day and NOT all up in your airpods, phone, music in your car, or just in auto pilot mode you what? Hear ONE loud crack, and then even if there is screaming it's muffled by the buildings and may be distorted and just sound like loud crowd noise coming from "whatever they had going on today over on campus".

I can completely understand why folks might not notice.

Normal people don't go about their day in hypervigilance mode.  It's one of the many reasons eye witnesses are generally not all too reliable.

Assuming it was actually a bolt action, there's very few "take down" variants that could be disassembled readily.  That's some Jason Bourne shit.  Not exactly non-existent, but rare and veeeeeery expensive.

My Ruger American 30-06 could break down into a barrel and stock, but that takes some screws and fucking around with it. It doesn't look like he's got a rifle with him on the roof jumping down though so I have no idea where it could be.

The wild thing is how the crime scene was immediately contaminated with clout chasers grabbing murder souvenirs, what an absolute mess being cleaned up by a podcast host and a children's book author

I've noticed a lot of random "sports-related" accounts on my FB feed quoting certain athletes condemning the shooting and support Charlie Kirk, etc. The quotes are nearly identical including the bad grammar.

I've definitely seen a big push to make every black NFL superstar seem like they were huge fans and conservative leaning.

Just weird, easily disprovable* shit.

*I suppose being easily disprovable doesn't matter anymore.

It seems obvious to me that Kash Patel and crew are royally fucking this thing up so far, but I recognize I carry a political bias into that opinion.

Do others with varying political beliefs see it the same way?

I’ve seen some criticisms but they’ll never question Dear Leader.

I can't imagine they're actually given much to do in the logistics and coordination of a massive federal manhunt and are just figureheads. So it's just the optics and on camera time that's embarrassing. I'm sure the actual field officers are doing what they know how to do. Kash, to his credit, seems to at least realize that he's in way over his head and is probably more than happy to defer.

I think the notion that the FBI is this amazing crime-fighting unit is way overblown at the best of times.

They do have some amazing technologies and technicians that can help solve certain crimes (and created things like AFIS and its successor).  And agents are a rung above most local cops.  But that doesn't make them into superheros.  One thing I think they are definitely better at is preparing a case for court/trial.  Also:

the-town-jon-hamm.png&f=1&nofb=1&ipt=2b2

They are a national organization.  Which means they get a lot of attention in things of an interstate nature that separate them from local cops.

Take Luigi.  He was arrested by Altoona cops because someone recognized him and dropped a dime.

All that said, none of this political bullshit can be good for the FBI at any level.  They're certainly not any better.  I think they do see themselves as elite and generally above politics and I imagine morale is pretty low.

I don't think the fact that Kash Patel is Director makes much of a shit, they come and go.  But the Spanish Inquisition shit has got to be bad for them.

My guess is they know who he is, currently watching his every move and making him believe he’s 2 steps ahead so they can bring him in with as little off chance that he offs himself.

If they flat out say John Doe is the killer, go find him…he would’ve already eaten a bullet

This is an example of people attributing things to the FBI that aren't attributable to the FBI because of the movies or some shit.

Just now, Not that Bob said:

Assuming that is a stationary security camera, how the hell does it pan and zoom in on the runner?

Let alone after the fact while some dude is narrating.  I assume that is an enhanced review of a video from a stationary camera.

They're gonna have a problem with corporate use cases. TLS tunneling is intrinsic to networking as a protocol, they can't really turn it off unless they completely abandon modern information technology

Have you ever had to secure network traffic in China? Once you migrate to state capitalism the needs of the state take priority over any company.
