Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?

Maybe so, but he didn’t quit fucking college aged chicks did he?

Possibly. His ex-wife moved to Oxford too. If I was trying to earn back my children’s trust it would be difficult for me to sleep with my daughter’s peers.

Career Records vs Top 10

5-18 for Sark

4-21 for Franklin

Both only have 1 win vs top 5 teams in their career

Franklin is 4-26 against top 10 teams in his career.

One has coached at Penn State for the last 12 years.

The other has half his top 10 losses from his time at Washington over a decade ago

Those losses from Franklin include his time at Vanderbilt, but nice try.

It's just funny I've seen across multiple boards people shitting on Franklin when Sark is closer to Franklin.

Your problem is that we have a couple of wins over top 10 teams on the road in the last few of years, sorry to burst your masturbatory bubble.

James Franklin has a top 10 win in that same time frame!

This is always the worst argument I’ve ever seen and it’s disproven constantly.

Kiffin would leave Ole Miss for more money. It’s as simple as that. That’s basically the #1 reason humans do anything.

So who's paying you to show up regularly and debase yourself on surly with horrible takes?

Who's prepared to have Barton Simmons on their school's payroll?

Simmons and Lea are both Vanderbilt alums, and have gotten some pretty decent investment in facilities. I'm not saying Lea won't leave for another job, but both have been pretty vocal about making Vanderbilt a regular football power. And they've been pretty successful so far in taking steps to that direction. I'm not sure Lea will leave for another program at this point, and certainly Simmons isn't going to follow him just because...Simmons is already extremely wealthy. I think these guys want their school to win at football.

You still don't get the point.

James Franklin has played 25 games against top 10 teams and 80% (20 of 25) have come at Penn State.

Steve Sarkisian has played 23 games against top 10 teams and almost half came at the University of Washington 15 years ago.

To add to it, James Franklin is 15-28 against ranked opponents at Penn State. 15-28. Steve Sarkisian isn't anywhere near that level.

I’ve got a HS classmate who lived in Hollywood for years and now lives in TN and loves to go on rants about how the “Deep South” doesn’t align with her political and social views.  And people should listen to her because she’s from Texas and it’s “Deep South” so she knows what she’s talking about.

Yeah.  No.

MS, GA, AL, SC, and TN are Deep South.  Maybe KY but I don’t really consider them Deep South at this point.  Arkansas is mountain hillbillies

Florida is Florida.   It’s its own creature.

Texas is Texas and is southwest if anything    We were our own republic and don’t fit in with the Gumps and the Bouchets and the rest.

Louisiana is just Louisiana.

So far from correct, it's laughable. Arkansas is more than the NW corner of the state.

Not only that, Sark inherited a winless team there. Washington was 0-12 the season before he got there. He walked into a mess and even while he was half in the bag he built that program into respectability.

Ole Miss is prim and proper, the Grove, deep souther ties and roots , very little infiltration of anything other than redshirting Ms Amercias.

From what my son tells me, there's also a gigantic infiltration of cocaine at Ole Miss. All his high school buddies who ended up there are doing rails like we used to pound Pearl Light in college. And lots of whippets, although they call it something else now. Nothing says prim and proper like blow and nitrous. Hotty Toddy.

IU guy Curt Cignetti should be at the top of everyone's list. He's 15-2 there so far.

Vandy coach Clark Lea should also be a hot commodity.

James Franklin has played 30 games against top 10 teams, and 25 of them have come as the head coach at Penn State.  The original numbers BO&W did not include his 0-5 record while at Vanderbilt.
