Which reminds me, how the FUCK did the refs miss that blatantly tripping by D-lineman on that Arch run in red zone earlier? That was a huge no-call on a 3rd down play.

Wondering that myself.  The umpire should've been standing right there looking at it.

I still can't believe we got that call on the roughing the passer on 4th and 1 with the stupid roll out and heave.  if we don't get that call we don't win that game.

Correction, if the dumbass doesn’t clearly hit him late, they done call the correct penalty.

That’s what happened.  That’s why we make fun of him to this day.  Maybe you don’t remember, but people (especially older cynics) had varying degrees of faith in Vince Young until he consummated the deed.

I'm sober, I watched every play, and I've read most of Surly's thoughts on the topic, and I also don't know how we won that game, and I think I lost several IQ points.

Well, the loss of IQ can be explained by reading all of our stupidity, but the winning the game part is still what baffles scientists and myself alike.

Has a Sark team EVER put up 24 unanswered points while down by 17 in the 4th? That was a masterclass and what I had been hoping to see for 5 seasons now.

Manning had a good game. But I never would have expected a kid from that family to not be a student of the game. His anticipation pre and post snap is severely lacking. I know kids are different these days but Arch needs to put in more work in the classroom. The athletic ability is there.

People absorb shit at different rates and there’s a lot to be said about having to build confidence on your own. It doesn’t matter how great his grandfather or 1 1/2 of his uncles were, he doesn’t get to just inherit their success. Arch has to go out and prove it to himself; as soon as that happens, the knowledge will meet the intangibles and he will become what everyone expects.

4th quarter last night he was forced to sling it and stop overanalyzing, best football he’s played.

Niblett needs to see the field more, and not just on one or two gadget plays that requires a WR to make a block (which never happens). He reminds me of Devin Duvernay with his speed and ability to navigate punt returns.

Niblett is great. I want to see him take another handoff like I want a hole in my head.

About to launch pretty much everyone in the cfb and nfl world out except this board

Oh, are you upset your hated nemesis Arch had massive success in the 4th quarter yesterday?  That must have been tough for you. Prayers for BO&W.

4th Q yesterday Sark simplified the offense which allowed him to sling it without having to process what was happening. Now we can argue that is the offense we should primarily run but that isn’t Sarks preference for better or worse.

Arch needs to prove it himself in film study. That is where he is lacking. I don’t think it is a confidence issue. Case McCoy was limited athletically and as a football player, but he knew how to read a defense and where the ball should go. Arch will be a much better player if he dedicates himself to that aspect of the game.

I mean it kinda makes sense if you think about it. Mannings couldn't run but knew the game front to back. This Manning CAN run but doesn't know the game for shit. Bizarro Manning.

Athletic ability is awesome but there are hundreds and hundreds of stories of players relying on their athletic ability to win and at some point you get to a level that requires more than just superior ability. Every sport.

Holy shit balls we won?  I turned it off at 38-21 or something like that and we went to a Halloween party.  Still the right decision because the party was fun.  Unreal that Texas won the game though, we were hammered dogshit.

No you didn’t. If you did, your “fun” Halloween party was filled with nerds.

This also didn’t happen. Literally nobody held this view on January 4, 2006.

100% accurate. I think the whole city of Austin was sucking Arch's peen and he maybe didn't study as hard as he should've. I think he can turn the corner but he's gonna need Sark to hold his hand for awhile.

I just watched the play it seemed to me it wasn’t thrown late it was on a timing play no other read just toss it after setting his feet - HOWEVER - he lofted it up way too much making it late and it nearly was too far out of the end zone to boot.

Which makes Moseley that much more of a bad ass and a hell of a portal guy. For all of Sark's shortcomings, the one thing he can do right is get the right portal WR's (I don't count Ajiye Hall, that was year one and desperation, and same goes for Jahleel Billingsley and even Amari Nibkack, but those two would be on Bank, anyway, since they're "TE's".

We've landed

Adonai Mitchell

Isaiah Bond was a weapon before injury

Matthew Golden

Silas Bolden (whom Ryan Niblett is starting to emulate with his toughness and fuck it attitude)

Emmett Moseley is already showing he has Golden hands

He inherited Isaiah Neyor, who turned out to be good at Nebraska, but I don't blame Sark for him leaving.

The amount of vaginal discharge on this thread is amusing but not surprising.

Get more tampons ready, ladies.  The rest of this season will continue to be tough and the Horns will continue to win at least 75% of the time.

Any TD pass is a great pass.  The one Manning dropped into the Mosley Bucket was perfection. Nitpicking to bolster your ego and show how right you are  makes you a miserable fuck and reinforces your fucktard level of bias.  Manning is going to be a legend.

Are you talking about the pass where Moseley slid and caught the ball? It was a tremendous catch. I just watched the video on the ESPN app and it was short which is why Moseley had to slide.

Regardless, a TD is a TD, and having Golden 2.0 doesn't hurt, either.

This legitimately made be laugh out loud. You're something, man.

I mean the ball is clearly underthrown, not sure what the issue is understanding that.  contrast it to caldwell’s td ball which was feathered at the perfect time with the perfect amount of touch into a spot where nobody on that field had any chance of catching it other than mosley.  it was a tom brady throw, and one that you will never see arch make.  if arch doesn’t get hurt he whips that ball late and 100mph probably right into brandon walker’s fat face.

Niblett is a real threat. Sark needs to get him more plays that put him in space.

Niblett is too small to be a RB. He can't run through tackles, every RPO he's had has resulted in either very little gain or loss of yards. If Sark split him out wide closer to the slot then yeah, I can see him being a weapon, but he just can't play RB. I wish he could too, but he doesn't have the intangibles at this level.

He's a fucking stud in the kicking game now, tho. We all went from put someone else back there to Niblett finally growing a pair and pushing the nitro button hauling ass to the endzone. Glad he got his confidence level up and he didn't transfer. We get him at minimum for another year (probably 2 since he's a RS-SO).

It was nice to see Baxter back. I didn't expect much, which is what we got. He got 9 carries for 27 yards, which was to get him back to live action. The running game wasn't working, anyway. Even Wisner had mostly trouble with like 1-2 good runs (I remember one going for 8-9 yds). Wisner went 12/41/0 for 3.4 ypc, and Baxter 3.0 ypc. I expect Baxter to get closer to 15 carries next week and maybe split 50/50 with Wisner, or whoever has the hottest hand.

Funny how when you simplify things good things tend to happen. Now if only he would do that for our FR WR's and TE so they can make at least some kind of impact. We simply cannot keep watching Wingo drop passes (he dropped 3 yesterday), even if he did have a career day. If we continue to see dropped passes all that's going to do is set us back even further. Get Lockett snaps as a pull lever just in case since they both play the "X" position. Plus Lockett has bigger, stronger hands and will fight for the ball.

I like Wingo, but I love passes not being dropped. Also, get McCutcheon and Ffrench more passed at the "Z". I'm not sure if Ffrench is able to play the "X", but I bet he could. He's only 1" shorter than both Wingo and Lockett, so he has flexibility. Anyway, my point being is seeing Sarkisian dumbing down the playbook makes me hope and want him t do the same for the WRs and the "Y" TE's. We only have 2 in Washington and Endries, and Townsend is a complete mismatch no matter what.

Thanks for listening to my TEDtalk

All credit to Nibblet, but that return was a team effort.

Critical Blocks on Nibblet's return for TD by #'s 0, 11, 23, 26 and 51.

#0 - Deandre Moore

#11 - Kade Phillips or Michael Terry?

#23 - Jorden Johnson-Rubell

#26 - Ty'Anthony Smith

#51 -  Marshall Landwehr - This block arguably prevented Miss St #56, the last viable defender, from making the tackle in addition to the direct block he made against defender #88 (I think) which  probably takes Nibblet out of bounds. Video at end linked to punt return.

lulz.  dropped into the bucket, mosley bailed his ass out on that play.  shitty balls are completed in every game.  and yeah it’s still technically possible that manning becomes a legend but currently he is a legendary bust.  that isn’t up for debate.

Sofaking retard level of analysis. Imagine his wr. Catching a ball place between two defenders that have no chance of touching the ball. You are backed into your stupid.

Watched the full game again this morning. A few observations:

It was ironic seeing ex-Texas players make so many big plays against Texas.

Arch had some really good, some bad. The OL not giving him time was a bigger issue than Arch in this game. Also, receivers dropped a lot of passes.

Key penalties saved their ass.

They never quit. That’s pretty cool.

The entire game never felt good. That is such a drag.

With Sark very likely leaving, it’s a huge bummer to start over, because they will likely take some significant step backwards.
