I remember a marquee bowl game against Michigan 20 years ago. We had a hyped QB who had started to come into his own and roster filled with very talented sophomores and juniors. Texas ended up beating

In a game like this with lots of untested players, odds don’t mean squat.

Then go make a bunch of money on it, Einstein.

A bunch of fucking bitches in here.

gonna guess that if youre talented enough to get recruited by texas and michigan youre pretty competitive by nature and want to play your guts out especially when the program has just gone a sort of turmoil.

out of the loop…. new DC have any input in this game or no????? Ready to see Simmons dominate like Ossai against Utah bowl game….

It seems we only played one game that mattered at all this year.

Apologies for breaking decorum, but I’m cross posting this here bc it’s so last minute. Had to cancel plans and have two tickets to give away if anyone was planning to snag one at the last moment.

Three days at the DisneyWorld parks with all of the kids follow the Citrus Bowl. Once Texas got this bid, I knew where this was headed. If anyone is drinking around the world at Epcot on Saturday, give a shout out to ol’ctj. I’ll be wearing UT gear with a sarcastic wife and 4 teen/pre-teen assholes all making sarcastic comments at their parents’ expense. No jorts, cargo shorts, flip flops or crocs will be involved.

I had a great time drinking around the world at Epcot with a group once. We got slosh knockered having fun and towards the end, there was a show going on, and it was freaking Pat Benatar. We were jamming out to Pat Benatar, singing all the hits. We were All Fired Up and a Little Too Late.

We were getting down with Pat Benatar. Then after about 4 songs in, I realized this isn't Pat Benatar. It' just some short-haired broad with a band.

She was good though, the right kind of sinner, to release my inner fantasy.

I’ve found the best approach is DAtW through the early afternoon, go to the hotel to nap when the wife and kids have had enough of Epcot, me or both, then regroup for a nice dinner. This time at The Boathouse.

Kill me.

That’s the spirit!

I just paid 40% of the total I was going to be charged by the LHF and captured great seats freakshow and I am the idoit?

No, I've been saying this for years now for away/bowl games that the LHF tickets are overpriced 20% and shitty as fuck. This has been the case for every game except Washington in the Superdome because that game was in crazy demand and there isn't really a bad seat in that place.

I woke up feeling as if the overtime rules had been explained to me, over and over again, in exactly the same way. For weeks on end. And all I want are salty, processed cheese snacks. Oh, and Fuck Michigan.

Wife and I will be making the trek over from Tampa today. Looking forward to seeing some new faces on the field and a Longhorn win!

This is the most wounded team we have played since……?

Sark is fucking mid AF if he cant beat this collection of bodies that michigan calls a “team”

On the other hand, the meltdown on this board if he doesn't will be glorious.

Uh okay. Half our defense is missing, we are down a DB coach and our LB coach is calling the defense.

I want to win, but it is a glorified scrimmage. The goal is to make it out healthy. No major injuries

While I celebrate most of their catalog, if you're not doing the "Extra Toasty" Cheez-It's, you're doing yourself a disservice.

You’re not quite as good at the longhorn Internets as you think you are, LT.

It’s Texas v Michigan and most could care less. Says about all you need to know about the bowls in the 12-team CFP era

What metric are you basing this on? I'd imagine the TV ratings may say differently.

Texas wins: who cares, Michigan was a mess, this game didn’t matter, I could have coached us to a win

Texas loses: OMG FIRE SARK HOW DARE WE LOSE WE MISSED OUT ON 10 WINS OMG THE SKY IS FALLING

We should beat Michigan. I would think that if we lined up against them in the regular season. I'll be annoyed if we lose because I'd rather have the warm and fuzzy feeling of a victory going into the offseason. But ultimately today is about having fun, gorging on Cheez-it based food items, and watching the team one last time. The overreaction by some if we lose a bowl they didn't think we should play in will be at least interesting to watch.

….and after we win, we will get absolutely zero credit, cause Michigan is in such disarray…..but, if we lose, we will be slammed and mocked being beaten by this other team…..lose, lose….but, I’ll still take a W to tie Notre Dame in wins,

TCU USC last night was epic.

the games are a shell of themselves, but it is still CFB and that is better than watching some half-ass series/movie on Netflix.

AND seeing the younger defensive players as a preview for 2026 and Arch getting more reps with the younger WR with Moore headed out

Did you watch? It was hype.

It was solid. That is my point. They may not be the bowl games we saw 20 years ago, but it is still better than having no games. Occasionally, we get a really entertaining game.
