it's because i reckon that he recognizes her twitter game is strong. his best move is to pretend he doesn't know/care about her. if he engages her on twitter, it's going to be a losing move. everyone else he attacks on twitter happen to be terrible at social media stuff.

This is the correct answer. Trump is an ignorant moron but he’s got great instincts. He’ll just keep having his puppets at Fox News attack her on television to satisfy his old and dumb base. Deep down he knows he’s toast on Twitter if he gets into it too much with her there.

It’s notable that Trump hasn’t beefed with her directly yet considering Fox News puts her shit on blast almost as much as Trump, if not more.

He wants (dreams) of fucking her.  And probably thinks he could anytime he wanted.

It's that simple.

^ Such a horrible person. Condolence letter to Kelly Preston.

Quote

I have always respected people who were loyal and faithful--which brings to mind Kelly Preston. A long time ago, before I was married, I met Kelly Preston at a club and worked like hell to try and pick her up. She was beautiful, personable, and definitely had allure. At the time I had no idea she was married to John Travolta.

In any event, my track record on this subject has always been outstanding, but Kelly wouldn’t give me the time of day. She was very nice, very elegant, but I didn’t have a chance with her, and that was that.

When I later found out she was married to John, I liked and respected her even more. Some people have values that matter to them, and she is one of them. Her loyalty was unwavering and I have always remembered that about her.

Being true to someone is very close to being true to yourself. That’s a valuable attribute in today’s world. I’m sure she was a wonderful mother to Jett and my thoughts are with her and her family after their terrible loss.

Narrator: But the English language had deteriorated into a hybrid of hillbilly, valley girl, inner city slang, and various grunts.

She tweets about him but makes it more general calling it: "the administration"  did this or "this administration" did that.  She's certainly not talking about her administration.

No shit. He is a textbook bully. They pick on the weak. It's the ultimate form of cowardice while trying to act tough.

Yeah, because focusing on the environment and healthcare are crazy new topics for the democrats to focus on.

Don't be intentionally intellectually dishonest.  You know there's a difference in saying "hey we need to not treat the environment like a garbage dump and we should do what we can to lower health care costs" versus Green New Deal + Medicare for All.  The Dems are going further and further left while the pragmatists (like Hickenlooper & Klobuchar and her projectile binders) are the objects of derision and scorn.

Hear me now and believe me later, but Trump's going to win a 2nd term in a close election.

Right, I’m the one intellectually dishonest when Republicans scream all day that the democrats are only focused on bringing down Trump and aren’t interested in real issues.

Oh wait, they are interested in real issues?  Well that’s SOCIALISM! and they’re going to kill all the cows.

At this point the only way Trump isn't re-elected is if Fox convinces him that he/they can make more money in defeat.

I'm on the ledge with Brisket. Just drinking some single pot Irish whiskey instead (hello, Yellow Spot).

Quote

President Donald Trump pressured his then-chief of staff John Kelly and White House counsel Don McGahn to grant his daughter and senior adviser Ivanka Trump a security clearance against their recommendations, three people familiar with the matter told CNN.

The President's crusade to grant clearances to his daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, rankled West Wing officials.

Quote

While Trump has the legal authority to grant clearances, most instances are left up to the White House personnel security office, which determines whether a staffer should be granted one after the FBI has conducted a background check. But after concerns were raised by the personnel office, Trump pushed Kelly and McGahn to make the decision on his daughter and son-in-law's clearances so it did not appear as if he was tainting the process to favor his family, sources told CNN. After both refused, Trump granted them their security clearances.

The development comes on the heels of Thursday's New York Times report that President Trump ordered Kelly to grant Kushner a top secret security clearance despite concerns raised by intelligence officials. The President has denied he had any role in Kushner receiving a clearance.

He is our first child president.  So it is expected.  The last three years of his twittering out front should have told ya.

Shit, everyone getting a subpoena:

New York state regulators have subpoenaed President Trump’s insurance broker, following testimony from former Trump attorney Michael Cohen that Trump exaggerated his wealth to insurance companies.

That subpoena — acknowledged Tuesday by broker Aon PLC — signaled another line of inquiry into Trump’s private business, this time by New York’s Department of Financial Services.

Quote

At one point, Cohen said Trump used exaggerated statements of his own wealth to impress journalists, reassure lenders and persuade insurance companies to lower his premiums.

“When we were dealing . . . with insurance companies, we would provide them with these copies so that they would understand that the premium, which is based sometimes upon the individual’s capabilities to pay, would be reduced,” Cohen testified.

Quote

The department sent Aon a nine-page subpoena, according to the New York Times, which first reported that it had been issued. The department asked for all communications between Aon and Trump or the Trump Organization, as well as internal documents in which Aon employees discuss Trump.

Two people familiar with the subpoena said the Times’ description was accurate. The Department of Financial Services did not respond to requests for comment. The scope of the inquiry and the department’s focus are still unclear.

Yes he is.
But it won’t be because ideas matter.
It will be because they don’t.
He’s going to be re-elected no matter what. The end.

Correct. We are committed to being the Stupid States of America. And we’re all-in.

Garbage dumps are easy to spot. Water contamination is not. The republicans have made it cool to contaminate surface waters for the benefit of industry.

If I recall correctly, the republican talking point is about what the costs are on a 10 year cycle to make the number sound scary as hell, and they also exclude that it would still be cheaper than the current rates.
