You fucking Democrats stole an election and you expect everything to be fine. You support BLM and Antifa. It was ok while they were rioting, looting, and killing. Not one word of condemnation. Now yiu

The hypocrisy of binary politics is in full effect today.  BLM, Antifa burn buildings, loot cities, ambush cops, attack govt buildings, protest in state capitols and Trumpers demand the police ta

This could go in either the QAnon thread or here, but in light of the fellow upthread with his truck o' weapons, here is what is circulating on Gab. I've been over there some lately, trying to see how they're accommodating their flood of users. Unfortunately, besides having site trouble due to the demand, they have changed to limit viewing comments to registered users and there is no way I'm joining their club.
However here is something spreading across their accounts:

That has been followed up with this one, also circulating faster than a Facebook Parscales target:

I've noticed there are quite a few retired military on Gab with either QAnon type posts or related. Trump is smart to play to them on his way out, even if the leaders indicated they weren't on board with that. Will be watching to see what happens with the recent event with NSA. Even if some of these folks aren't right in the head, they do have some extremists that seem willing enough to attempt to act. Not going to be a pleasant time, I'm afraid.

Is today still “boom day?” Just checking. What times does “boom day” start? EST? Central time?

Wait...did I miss boom day? Or was it supposed to be boom boom day? Maybe it was too beaucoup?

No more boom-boom for this baby-san. There's nothing we can do for her. She's dead meat.

Why was a tent on fire? It's cold as fuck outside and there is hardly any sun.

I would guess that the number one cause of tent fires is open flame in the tent.  Usually probably a cook stove.

In this particular case, I would guess some form of smoking material.

Interesting that to completely disrupt the inauguration, all someone has to do is ignite a pile of garbage a few blocks away.

Well, being that we’ve had a running dumpster fire just down Pennsylvania Avenue for 4 years now....yeah, this is gonna be a challenge.

My concern is the base will primary establishment GOP candidates and then, through superior messaging and Dem incompetence, get greater and greater representation in Congress from election to election.

Ok--so let's talk about "the base" for a minute.  Because this is really critical.

The GOP "base" is fundamentally a bunch of non-voters.  They are poorly educated people who have no confidence in politics or institutions.  They don't think their vote really matters, and they behave that way.  They'll show up to vote for Trump when he is on the ballot.  But otherwise, they don't vote.

That fact is evidenced by polling in the last four elections.  In 2016 and 2020 when Trump was on the ballot, the polls missed by about 3-4 points.  That's a good sized polling error, and it reflects the fact that there are a lot of Trump voters are so disaffected that they are hard to poll.  But in 2018 and in the Georgia special, the polls were dead-on-balls accurate.

In other words, the GOP is only competitive on a national level with Trump on the ballot.  Without him on the ballot, they lose bigly, including in states like Georgia.

That's because the GOP traded highly educated suburbanites for poorly educated rural Q-enthusiasts.  From an electoral standpoint, that's a bad trade.

It's also a real challenge when it comes to gerrymandering.  Of course, the GOP will want to dilute the suburbs and urban areas with exurbs and rural areas to the degree possible.  But what's your turnout model when you're doing that?  That's a bit of a challenge when your turnout is so variable from one election to another.

It’s called a dummymander and the GOP can easily screw itself in TX, GA and NC as they haven’t bottomed out in the suburbs there yet. Wisconsin too.

A Dummymander really fucks the GOP if rural and exurban voters aren’t motivated to show and the suburban voters who hates Republicans come out in droves like they always do.

Politically, trying to motivate low-propensity voters every 2 years if things are going okay is hard.

In any other year, news of a homeless person losing their only earthly possessions to a fire in the middle of winter would be depressing as fuck. Today, it's good news because at least it's not domestic terrorists doing more damage to the nation's Capitol, fully believing that they are doing so at the bidding and benefit of a sitting U.S. President. Awesome job, America.

In any other year, it wouldn’t make the news.
