Years ago. Better gas mileage and less pressure fluctuation! Padding the ticket and easy money. I told the last salesman to take the nitrogen out and put regular air in it and take $500 off the price.

$500 for something you get for free at Costco?

You have my attention. I recently spent several hours looking at Sorentos. No kids so I don’t need something as large as a Telluride.
I have read a lot of complaints about using oil at the 80K mark. Your thoughts?

It’s been awesome. We have 45k on it. Super high build quality, awesome value, much roomier, more comfortable, luxurious, and functional than the Explorer platinum I almost bought for her.

No mechanical issues at all so far.

think I posted about this years ago, but it's too good to not post again.

In 2015 the family and I drove from Knoxville to Phoenix via Texas.  When we got to west Texas, the following conversation occurred re: windmills.

Her:  Why are all these windmills out in the middle of nowhere?

Me, not really sure what she meant:  Um, I guess it depends on what it's being used for and where the crops are.

Her:  Wouldn't it make sense to have them near a road or house?

Me, still not sure what the hell is going on: I guess it depends.

Her: So they haul all the grain to the middle of the field, grind it, then haul it back to the road?

Me:  Babe.  This isn't Holland.  Those are for water.

Her:  Really?

I'm

I'm speaking of the use of windmills in Holland for milling?  Am I missing something?

It depends whether you are talking about exhibit A or B from this photo.  Exhibit A is everywhere, and not just a west Texas thing.  B is heavily featured in west Texas, large swaths of California, and other places, but you don't see them on every rural farm, as you would A.  Based on the geographic specificity, I assumed you were talking abut B, thus my comment.

Yes.  A.  We had a windmill in our farm in Comanche for the garden and cows.  It actually came to me late last night that you might be thinking I was referencing the generators.  All good.

Gentlemen!...back to wives and their associated nincompoopery...Please!

Sorry for tilting at windmills.  How 'bout this one.

We live a suburb of Dallas called Rowlett.  Most places we visit go has us use Bush Turnpike, which is a toll road, to get home.  As we get close to our exit off Bush, my wife will exit the highway and drive 4 extra miles to avoid the toll.  I've tried to explain benefit/cost to her to no avail.  Here's the math ---

1.  To continue home on the toll (4 miles) costs 88 cents as we have toll tags and the cost per mile is 22 cents a mile.

2. Taking her route adds 4 extra miles + about 10 minutes of drive time as we go through several lights.  If I'm calculating this correctly it costs 60 cents in gas to take this route.  Her car gets 20MPG in the city @ $3 a gallon.  So, 1/5 of the cost of a gallon of gas.

So, she's "saving" 28 cents to drive an extra 4 miles while adding 10 minutes to the trip.  BTW, we're not Surly 1 percenters, but we can afford gas.

And, before anyone asks, I do usually drive; however, when we have the kids with us, we take her car and she prefers to drive it.
