Dominate?  He sounds like a fake tough guy telling someone how to get a puppy under control so it knows you're the alpha.  What a fucking lunatic.

Trump's strategy is always zero sum. He can't win unless you lose. However the cities, that are working with protesters, are the ones succeeding.

I bet Dan Patrick and perhaps Abbott are looking for reasons to crack down with force but the damn local mayors and police are finding methods to peacefully control the situations. bastards.

If you're trying to say I don't understand how it's rigged to be a 2 party political system, you're wrong. Anything else is a fallacy and/ or a willful practice in acceptance.

if by "rigged" you mean by the Constitution, then sure.

ETA-- See one post above this.

Has nothing to do with falling in line. It’s understanding how our system is set up. A 3rd party can’t win. Not without changes and reform of the current system.

i have no problem with this for instigators whose sole interests are rooted in creating chaos.  the standard needs to be definitive proof of organizing for rioting's sake devoid of any intention to voice a protest against the current matter at hand.

Just note that ALL we are getting from national leadership is about how bad rioters are, and DOMINATE THEM, and shit like that.

Zero calming presence, calming voice, acknowledging that people are angry, they have the right to be angry, and as a society we must hear and LISTEN.  Simple stuff like that.  The unheard want, more than anything, to be heard.  Not much on that front.

Just drawing battle lines, and talking about dominating them, and ominous weapons and fierce dogs.  Jesus what a stupid timeline we live in.

Maybe like our teachers and first responders, we should pay these people a salary commiserate to their responsibility to protect and serve the community.   Pay more, get better quality applicants.  But no, we keep heaping money at the feet of CEOs and CFOs.

I thought Rizzo was from Louisiana.

Seriously, first glance, second look...this guy look more incel or antifa material to you?

I would think that most of those DC historic buildings have sprinkler systems in them.  Would have to have a whole lot of fuel to get past those and do any real damage.

marvel should send him a cease and desist

Sure they are.  But when you see piles of bricks strategically laid in the streets of Dallas with reports certain individuals were directing the mob to those locations, some of this was planned.   And multiple cities are reporting arrests of non-residents including some from out of State.

Just think about how many people our dumbshit war on drugs/use of traffic infractions to provide local revenue drag into the system for no good fucking reason.

Step 1 is to abolish the cop unions imo.

I would say "reform" the unions, including taking disciplinary/termination out of the contractual process when it comes to issues dealing with the public.

"Virtually everyone" in our country is on the side of the peaceful protesters.....except THE ACTUAL EXECUTIVE BRANCH.  They haven't done jack shit to truly acknowledge the reason for the uprising, the legitimacy of their grievances, to address them with calming and truly attentive measures....nope, just "DOMINATE.  OMINOUS WEAPONS!  MAGA!"  For fuck's sake, the counterexample to GR's statement is the actual PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

He has to be removed from office.  We will not make it to January 20th.  Many, many (more) people are going to die before then.

If that's your argument it falls apart when you remember the constitution is a living document. Just because it's inconvenient doesn't mean that it can't change.

I'm not hijacking the thread anymore. Feel free to have the last word if you need it.

Yeah that is definitely trolling and a direct reply to Trump's message to the Iranian people.

The Western Liberal Democracies are siding with the American people as if they are concerned neighbors and we are abused children and the authoritarian nations our mocking the U.S. due to the similarities.

It should be obvious to anyone that the United States' status in the world has been greatly diminished.

Trump's promise of Making America Great Again was about as solid as a Trump University grad's job prospects.

Good lord how many times do we have to remind the idiots who fall for all of the fake media propaganda that there are organizations out there that are planting fake stuff all the time: Russia, Republicans, conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, etc. At least wait until you see a shred of evidence from a credible source.

It's sad that so many think it's only one party/side/group that does the shit.  Those little chickenshits from Fondren & Main's video don't fit any of your labels.

We don't have a federal police force.  Nearly all of these high profile police issues have been in urban areas controlled by your party for decades.  Those mayors and city councils appoint the police chiefs and have ultimate oversight on police dept policy, staffing, hiring, and discipline.  Why are you not bitching about them, the ones with the real control who have not done what you wanted?

Because George Floyd was jus a convenient excuse, this is really about your Resistance Riots.  Create enough chaos to keep the economy damaged for 6 more months, and enough chaos fatigue in the public so that they vote for change simply on the hope that it will quiet things down.  Basically putting a gun to the head of America.

Jesus H Christ, you actually believe what you posted?

Several posters here have been talking about the problem with cops for YEARS, as has the black community (seriously, for DECADES), but now they're making it all up because Trump?  How narcissist are you fuckers?  Nothing happens without it being all about you?

And what about shitty Minneapolis leadership?  There has been an ongoing fight between city leadership and the powerful police union for YEARS.  The union has actively resisted any and all efforts to clean up, because they want to "police the way cops know how to police" -- which means cracking skulls.  Should the city have drawn a harder line and told the union to go fuck itself?  Yep, the city was weak.

But we know somebody who has the Minneapolis police union's back....

Quote

Lt Bob Kroll, head of the Minneapolis police union, slammed former President Barack Obama’s “handcuffing and oppression of police” while praising Donald Trump at a re-election rally the president held in the city last year.

Donning a red “Cops for Trump” shirt as he took the stage, the lieutenant attacked the Obama administration over its alleged “despicable” treatment of police, adding: “The first thing President Trump did when he took office was turn that around … he decided to start to let cops do their job, put the handcuffs on the criminals instead of us.”

We didn't make any of this about Trump.  The fucking head of the Minneapolis police union did.

What did I make up?

The United States House of Representatives passed the bill on February 10, 1964, and after a 54-day filibuster, passed the United States Senate on June 19, 1964. The Act was signed into law by President Johnson at the White House on July 2, 1964

this is very intentional imo. Trump wants to demoralize the demonize the protesters through force but doesn't want the public blow back if it goes poorly so trying to encourage the local officials to put the blame on them if it goes south...

On another note, who’s ready to sign up for some gun control???

This has shown cops can’t protect you, rising widespread unrest equals let’s buy some guns.

Thats clearly what we need, scared people pulling guns when confronted by a crowd.  The beauty of lack of gun control means the crowd gets to have guns too.  Just a thought, but maybe we should be more worried about whats causing the angry mob instead of finding ways to make the angry mob bleed and get more angry.

It sounds like they've more or less ordered an evacuation of downtown Omaha ahead of the press conference on the non-charges at 1:30. It seems to me if you have to evacuate everyone before your press conference, you know you are about to fuck up big time.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but trying to remove Trump before January just increases the probability he's relected in November. The only way he leaves prior to January is in a body bag - and I'm not advocating anything there, unless you're tight with a deity that has an itchy trigger finger she wants to scratch.

Trump is scared shitless and called daddy for advice on how to regain control.  I never thought Trump would get us into a foreign war because it would be a situation he couldn’t control.

He must maintain control of the narratives and between the virus and George Floyd, he is helpless and frightened of the idea of consequences.

Trump isn’t playing 3D chess.  He’s an illiterate five year old playing regular chess throwing the pieces all over the room.
