Terrorists from Texas.

From the Star Tribune article:

Quote

In the wake of protests following the May 25 killing of George Floyd, a member of the "Boogaloo Bois" opened fire on Minneapolis Police Third Precinct with an AK-47-style gun and screamed "Justice for Floyd" as he ran away, according to a federal complaint made public Friday.

A sworn affidavit by the FBI underlying the complaint reveals new details about a far-right anti-government group's coordinated role in the violence that roiled through civil unrest over Floyd's death while in police custody.

Ivan Harrison Hunter, a 26-year-old from Boerne, Texas, is charged with one count of interstate travel to incite a riot for his alleged role in ramping up violence during the protests in Minneapolis on May 27 and 28. According to charges, Hunter, wearing a skull mask and tactical gear, shot 13 rounds at the south Minneapolis police headquarters while people were inside. He also looted and helped set the building ablaze, according to the complaint, which was filed Monday under seal.

Unrest flared throughout Minneapolis following Floyd's death, which was captured on a bystander's cellphone video, causing Gov. Tim Walz to activate the Minnesota National Guard. As police clashed with protesters, Hunter and other members of the Boogaloo Bois discussed in private Facebook messages their plans to travel to Minneapolis and rally at the Cub Foods across from the third precinct, according to federal court documents. One of the people Hunter coordinated with posted publicly to social media: "Lock and load boys. Boog flags are in the air, and the national network is going off," the complaint states.

Two hours after the police precinct was set on fire, Hunter texted with another Boogaloo member in California, a man named Steven Carrillo.

"Go for police buildings," Hunter told Carrillo, according to charging documents.

...

Hunter had bragged about his role in the Minneapolis riots on Facebook, publicly proclaiming, "I helped the community burn down that police station" and "I didn't' protest peacefully Dude ... Want something to change? Start risking felonies for what is good."

"The BLM protesters in Minneapolis loved me [sic] fireteam and I," he wrote on June 11. According to the complaint, "fire team" is a reference to a group he started with Carrillo "that responds with violence if the police try to take their guns away."

"Hunter also referred to himself as a 'terrorist,' " the complaint states.

A confidential informant told police that Hunter planned to "go down shooting" if authorities closed in. He didn't. They arrested him without incident in San Antonio, Texas this week and he made his first court appearance Thursday.

Hunter is the third member of the Boogaloo Bois, a loose-knit group intent on igniting a second American civil war, to be charged in Minneapolis as a result of the unrest that followed Floyd's death.

It's interesting that there's an emerging pattern of property damage, riots, and violence being incited by white supremacists and boogaloo boys militia members right-wing terrorists. From reading this thread you could have gotten the impression that people who think black lives matter are the violent ones.

For those curious about the Not Fucking Around Coalition, since they've been mentioned or shown in this thread - semi-long article about them.  So far, nobody has been shot at any of their gatherings, other than three of their own members (not-so-friendly-accidental-fire).  None of the white supremacist groups actually challenged them to the point there was a firefight or anything.  Probably because they are not fucking around.

Incidentally, I'm starting a carport band, the Not Fucking Around Band, or "N-FAB"

Sounds like a peaceful protest to me.

Just some people accepting unplanned donations of loaves of bread.

Not knowing more details about the DD, sounds like the cops and protestors overreacted. So even Steven?

Domestic disturbance included a man chasing cops around a car with a knife. I don't think it was much of an overreaction by the cops.

Well, if they had shot the knife out of his hands, we wouldnt have all these problems!

Disagree.

This is such a ludicrously ignorant comment that I really don’t even know where to start. Posting one video of an incident where it was resolved without a gun means all of them will play out the same way.....

Are you really suggesting the tactic to take down all perps with knives should be to fight back with batons?

Are you really suggesting that all perps with knives behave and react the same way to police, or have the same tolerance/fear of a baton/pepper spray/taser?

Are you suggesting that all cops are as big or strong as the perps with knives?

You are probably lost looking for the Russia/covid fear porn thread. This thread is for the rioting and looting apocalypse.

Nope just living my life and being a responsible and courteous adult and not forming worldviews based only on out of context twitter posts. For the most part everyone around me is doing the same. The homeless problem sucks, but my city is not burning, it is bustling.

So you take issue with her choice of fear porn?

This thread is a joke. It's a sad reflection of insecurity and fear-based mindset.

Nope just pointing out that coming to a thread documenting protesting, rioting and looting, and wondering why people are posting all sorts of rioting and looting seems a bit odd.

If video of rioting and looting angers you, and it's not because of the actual rioting and looting, but rather the documenting and capturing of it, you should ask yourself why.

The entire purpose of this thread, from the outset, has been to completely ignore the underlying causes of political unrest and highlight political unrest itself as if it is the root problem. Ignore the cause (largely white authoritarian power) and focus on the result (black disorder). The OP of this thread used it to just start posting video of black people committing crimes that had nothing to do with the protest/riot violence stemming from George Floyd's murder.

And guess how many of you guys pushed back? Zero.

It's not hard to understand why I feel the need to point this out, because without pushback it's just r/blacksgonewild.

Also, I don't care about looting. Looting doesn't indicate any problem that needs addressing other than the need to examine WHY so many Americans feel like their only recourse against injustice is to break and steal. The breaking and stealing itself is completely uninteresting because, for the most part, it's either without long-term consequences or it COULD be without long-term consequences if not for the exact same people who promote the causes of the unrest in the first place (fiscal conservatives opposing using public funds to insure/bail out impacted small businesses just like they promote the immiseration of black America for decades).

When the CEO of Target says to not worry about the looting at Target, that should tell you something.

You're not obsessing over video of looting because it's actually a threat to the nation. You guys are doing it for (1) politics and (2) promoting anti-black imagery. Or both. You can decide which one fits you.

you seem pretty triggered for 9am, you mad bro? This thread for probably 50 pages has been about police brutality videos and the resulting protests, riots and lootings. But I guess people sharing twitter videos of people stealing tv's and washing machines resulting from the police shooting a man trying to attack them with a butchers knife is promoting anti-black imagery.

Also - I'm equal opportunity for shaming rioters and looters; black, white, purple, orange whatever. Feel free to share the riots and lootings that are in your opinion justified and have enough white people for your liking. The only person really injecting race into this is you bud.

What about the sharing of things that have nothing to do with the protests at all but are just black people acting inappropriately? What would you call that?

What is it with you and race?  We're all fine with people sharing videos of crazy ass white folk doing this same stupid shit.  Frankly, in most of these nightly videos thanks to masks and hoodies, I cant tell one color from another anyways.

I'll answer it to the extent that I can.  I had no idea at all there anything was going on in Philly or NYC until I clicked on here.  I don't have a real "side" in this.   I think this issue isn't black and white.

Lots of bad actors on both "sides".  I realize that you don't care what I think though unless I agree with you.
