This is the fucking high point of my life. Or at least Monday. Holy fuck. The problem for them is that:

a) it’s crazily almost believable

and

b) there are a whole lot of people who want to believe it, including their own inferiority-complex driven proclivities.

May the swimming pool party return like Christmas in July each year. Next year, my understanding is that two head-to-head targets will play keep-away with Jimbo as the monkey-in-the-middle that they never let catch the ball.

When you first posted the blurb, I legitimately found myself debating its veracity. Fisher’s Napoleon complex just makes it so damn believable.

Jimbo recruited against Miami and UF when they were both dumpster fires and Clemson wasn't even a blip on the radar. He over-recruited skill positions and neglected the OL and LB corps to get those top 5 classes.

Smoke, mirrors and revisionist history by Aggy.....as usual.

Funny thing is, as of now, Florida State has a better class ranking than aggy, even after their bad season last year.

Found a few gems over the past few weeks. Perroni:

Manor’s Princely Umanmielen is a player that Price really likes at strongside end and defensive coordinator Mike Elko is heavily involved with his recruitment as well. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound defender is officially visiting for the Alabama game and has a commitment date set for not long after. LSU and Texas are the other two big contenders with him but the Longhorns may not be in the picture anymore after recent pickups.

This explains him not feeling at home in college station:

Here's where the "top in state target" came from- just a 247 aggy poster:

Now this is classic aggy here.  This is the thread about Wiltfong changing his Collins pick to cloudy and it's got the classics.  "We moved on a long time ago" and "Princely has been the top in-state target all along"

https://247sports.com/college/texas-am/Board/20/Contents/Wiltfong-Foggy-CB-on-Collins--134001652/

and we robbed Looch: of his dream finish (insert animal joke here):

• Current dream finish in the trenches for the Aggies?

1. Close out Chris Morris on the o-line when he visits Alabama weekend in early October (this one looks more likely than ever).

2. Eventually close out Princely Umanmielen at defensive end, probably sometime this fall (far from done but the Ags appear to be in a very good spot).

3. Pull off the mother of all coups and sign a borderline five-star pass rusher in Donell Harris (it'll be a wild ride until December but a pre-season commit is still very much in play).

4. Overtake and outlast Oklahoma (and whoever else) in the battle for the signature of Athens OT Garrett Hayes‍.

The good news? If Signing Day were tomorrow, I believe the three who were at the BBQ on Friday would ink with the Ags.

Isn’t donnell Harris a string bean and also underage thanks to his reclassification?

24/7 has him at 6’4 and 210 lbs but all of his testing is 18 months old, so those numbers might not be current.

They have him as a pass rushing LB in a 3-4 that maybe can grow into a 4-3 de, even though they list him as a WDE.

Yes, yet they were all saying Dorbah is to small and not SEC size.

Not when the flagship is pulling 10+ wins, too, bud.

One thing to think about is the fucking glorious premise of ATM going like 7-6 this year. They fired a black guy putting up what felt like 9+ wins a season. Maybe he had some 8 win years, feel free to fact check. I don’t remember any 7-6 seasons though. So they fired a guy in order to pay the new guy $75million for shittier results. Justify that on the recruiting trail, guys. Good luck!

Let's spill the beans, Jimbo caught a spike in the face and blew his stack (should have stayed in the shallow end) and threatened a recruit, said recruit held him under water until he went limp.  The rest of the recruits said screw this jerk.

They fired Sumlin in the 7-6 year (although we all know he was a dead man walking after that glorious meltdown in the Rose Bowl in week 1).

speaking of that three striped life - Donnell Harris' measurements are from Feb. He's absolutely a player but he is also a classic wait for the ink to dry on NSD guy as well. The move from Booker T. to Gulliver and decommitting from Tha U are all just appetizers.

and yeah - to say that he'll need to fill out is an understatement.

Bad DL year in Texas. Jimbo sensibly prioritized the recruiting hotbed that is Camden, New Jersey and national best recruit ever Donnell Harris.

Also this whole thing:

Wouldn't the Peter "Principal" (as it is being used here) require these kids attempt to punch above their weight in the big bad mighty SEC West, but ultimately flame out? Isn't that the essence of the Peter "Principal"?

He was 7-5 his last season where they shit canned him before losing the bowl game. But other than that, his win totals were 11, 9, 8, 8, 8.

I love that they think they are big game hunting, because what top national prospect has Jimbo signed that was out of state?

You see, they are IN ON THEM! They don't care about closing the deal. Just being considered, supposedly, is the big deal for aggy. The recruit they end up with is the best recruit, by definition.

That’s because the aggy standard is much higher than that, as evidenced by all their 10+ win championship seasons. Bwahahahahahaha!

Sumlin lost his QB1 in game 1 of the year, still won 7 games, was fired and aggy rejoiced.

jimbo lost his qb in game 1 2 years ago, only won 5 before getting fired iirc, aggy pays him 75 million and says yeah but he lost his qb that season doesn’t count.

Perroni hinting that Jefferson is going to be a grades casualty. They are discussing whether or not to take his fax, since it would count against their 25 man counter.

The kid has been committed since the Reagan administration. Tough break.
