Likely all of the above, no question he failed miserably this off season but, if we have all this money fucking spend it, easiest thing in America to do

We do have all this money. We’re not Aggies and don’t just flush it down the toilet, though some of our coaching hires make me wonder.

Good times.

Whoever it is will hire assistants surly approves of, get portal players that are studs, he will be a virgin, he will not drink or do drugs, and he will win when he’s suppose to and never lose. I bet there’s at least 25 guys we can interview tomorrow. Texas won’t fuck this hire up either, ain’t no way.

I swear to fucking god some of you don't watch the games or you are too drunk to remember shit. 4th and 1 on your own 36 is less than iffy there, especially with the play they called. 4th and 5 was clearly a we dare you to jump and we may have something else called anyway play or punt and pin.

They were in year 1 and inherited a QB that didn't fit the system and still almost made the playoffs, it's disappointing for sure, but they didn't get blown out save the oklahoma game, which was terrible.

Right.  So pretty much a similar year that we had.   I don't know if it's just a sign of online society in general but the mood swings on this board after a win or a loss are beyond fucking ridiculous.   I will bet anyone that UGA has a 3 or more loss season under Kirby in the next 3 years if anyone wants to take me up on it.  It's going to fucking happen.   I get everyone had high expectations but the days of going 12-0 and 11-1 on the reg are going to be over.  It's ok to be disappointed and pissed about offseason roster construction and pissed about the way things went in general, but this board having a meltdown over the fact that it's possible that our coach that took us to back-to-back semis (after 12 or so years of pure non-competitive dogshit) could possibly remain as the coach is insane

We just have to run the ball more and plug those gaping holes in the OLine and go back to regular practices. All things he could have done this year. Lol. 😂 don’t need conspiracy theory for any of that.

I hope Steve figures out who makes those decisions. He needs to get them aligned with his vision.

year 1 and year 5 are way fucking different. pushing 40M and pushing around 18M are also way fucking different. What do you not get about that? The economics MASSIVELY changed between last year and this year. Sark has also started to show signs of losing the locker room. Something you should NEVER have happening in year 5.

As much as it pains me to say this, I do see a scenario in which this (2-7) Arkansas team beats us this weekend regardless of how shitty their defense is. And then the heat will really be turned up if A&M just completely embarrasses Texas in DKR at night.

If Sark loses to Arky and aggy, I wouldn’t be surprised if he were to be let go. After starting #1 with championship aspirations, the bs with the nfl practices, how bad the line is, the other stuff rumored, it would be easy to have him “leave for personal reasons” or something to save face.

Has only lost more than 2 games in the regular season once in his first year of coaching at georgia ever. The rest of the 3 loss are from seasons with bowl games that they may have lost in including 2018 where texas handed them the 3rd loss.

That's some great action to take. Kirby bad coach definitely gonna lose 3 games in regular season LOL

He's going to walk away from all the money Texas owes him and accept a job at a much reduced salary?

I bet Jimmy Sexton is thrilled at that prospect.

Any NFL aspirations he had in mind are dead right now.  So if he's gone, he's either fired for the whatever truth there is to the scandalous rumors or he quits.

This is the problem as I see it. I don't see him getting an NFL gig this year and there's no evidence in the real world that he's done anything to get fired for cause.

There’s no value in moving Sark now unless you have a better option lined up to replace him

In today’s day and age, you lose the locker room, and you can replace the majority of the players over one or two offseasons.

For Texas, tOSU, and Georgia, the standard is 9 wins a season. Those schools all have unlimited money and talent. It’s pretty inexcusable to have anything less than 9 wins. For everyone else, i think the floor should be 8 wins. If you want to be a contender your coach should at least be able to deliver 8 wins, which gets you a shot at 9 or 10 wins and a playoff opportunity.

I think I already said, and might've typed, this - but I don't always post what I write, so I'll do it again.

What seems to explain most if not all of the fuckery we're wading through lately is that Del Conte has everything he needs to fire Sarkisian “for cause”, but he's a whole lot more interested in fixing the problems than in skewering Sark.

If Sark can be convinced to make necessary changes in both his personal life and in his coaching, he'll get another year to show up. We can argue all we want about what changes and whether he is both willing and able to do them. Don't care, had MensaTom and Coach Potatohead.

On the other hand, if Sark won't derectify his head, he'll be let go... preferably gracefully, if possible, but there's a definite possibility he won't go quietly, and shit is flung in all directions.

Some of us seem to want to watch the flaming fudge nugget dingdongs arching majestically across the skies, and the sooner the better. But I believe that Del Conte will do his best to keep things calm and professional, and that means “The University of Texas and Coach Sarkisian have mutually-decided to part ways.”

I think this last outcome is best for all concerned, although we may be waiting until post-aggy to see it.

That statement is absolutely fucking stupid. If a coach gets fired for cause, kiss that payday goodbye. And we're not firing him this round unless there is cause.

A coaching change in modern CFB also means having the entire roster poached through the portal. You don’t let Sark walk unless you know you have someone who’s undoubtedly an upgrade over him lined up.

Sark has lost three or more games (including playoffs) in 11 of his 13 seasons as a coach.  1 of the years he didn't lose 3 was at USC, where he was 3-2.  Why so many of you treat him like the next Saban is beyond me.  He's mid

At a minimum, the fact that he has had to address it publicly to the media means its all over his radar. Thats better than nothing. Coaches and ADs have very little control over this stuff these days. If Sark's donor base is fine writing checks and letting him continue under his current structure, he's good to go for trying to rebound next season. But once one guy walks away, the other guys money becomes less impactful and it can cause a run on the whole operation. Thats why this is so shitty, Sark squandered some well aligned support this season. Its not easy to "get the bb's in the box."
