Oz Ocampo just was interviewed on MLB Radio for 20 mins

What they look for in thesr international signings?
- arm action
- breaking ball
- athleticism
- self confidence
- work ethic
- disregard age

Strom would go to Dominican Republic and work with scouts/players. Don't see that too often from ML Pitching Coach.

Support up and down organization

JAVIER
84-86mph when signed what did you see?
- wae still missing bats with that velo
-delivery and arm action same back then as now
- mound presence

MOVEMENT PROFILE OF PLAYER
- delivery/ease of movement
-new in terms of biomechanics, but old in that scouts will still look for easy and classic mechanics that have worked in the past

FRAMBER
Signed at 21 seems old for international what was seen?
-area scout evaluated Framber early 1st day seen curveball was ML quality sharpness and break
-aggressive to sign him at that point
-big body but is athletic and strong

YORDAN
- tried hard to sign him at 18 on last day but didn't work out, thankfully trade happened a few months later
-not power hitter then but line drives to all fields
-frame/quality swing and contact
-sneaky athletic and arm

CURRENT WINDOW
- Pretty special and incedible
- homegrown team makes it special to see the guys from 18/19 yrs old to now...brought up Luis Garcia 5 innings last game as an example
-all here together (scouting dept etc) so long and pull for each other

ROBERT SUAREZ PHILLIES
They asked him about him cause he had tweeted recently about him
- tried to sign him in 2015 from Mexico
-big frame/big arm/aggressiveness
-he was just coming into own then and tried aggressively to sign, had better option to go to japan for 5 or 6 yrs

Of all the clubs ahead of the Astros they have at least a 59 year head start.... Crazy to think they have already surpassed 9 teams that had 60+ year head starts too.  Of all the expansion teams (1961 or later) only the Astros & Rays average more than 1 postseason win per year.

yeah, i was surprised to hear that 2022 was playoff appearance #15 for the phillies in 118 years.

it's also #15 for us in half that time.

Yeah the Athletics won 5 World Series during their 54 seasons in Philly.  Still they posted a sub .500 mark overall before moving west.  Of course that does nothing to usurp Chicago as the most historically underachieving MLB town.

Doug Eddings is on the crew. Is that the guy who is a total and complete clown that’s only better than Angel Hernandez and that other prick whose name escapes me right now?

Here’s his season rankings. It’s a travesty to reward such mediocrity with an important playoff series. Just be glad he’s doing the NLCS

Hit him well back in June.

Can't believe Boone's Farm was willing to answer that question.  Actually no wait I totally can....

I used to love Bob costas in the 90’s for nba games and the nba finals intros, but he is giving me tired head listening to none stop rambling in between pitches for 9 innings. Stfu!

We had to have someone fill the Joe Buck annoy the world during the MLB postseason void.

Guardians are a weird combo of so many young guys and old ass Tito as manager.

They probably didn't expect to get this far this soon and Tito will return.

Still game left but it doesn't look good for them.

At this point neither of these teams look really great to me.

Heard this segment as well, excellent summary. He gave a lot of credit to our cross checkers as well and came across as very humble and proud of the respective accomplishments of the development and scouting team.
