Switzerland is obsessed with getting shooting right. Every year, it holds a shooting contest for kids aged 13 to 17.

Curious as to your point with this one.

From the same article:

Around the world, stronger gun laws mean fewer gun deaths. And that's been true in Switzerland, too.

After hundreds of years of letting local cantons determine gun rules, Switzerland passed its first federal regulations on guns in 1999, after the country's crime rate increased during 1990s.

Since then, more provisions have been added to keep the country on par with EU gun laws, and gun deaths have continued to drop.

As of 2015, the Swiss estimated that only about 11% of the Swiss keep their army-issued gun at home. Fewer guns at home has led to a drop in suicides

Most people aren't really allowed to carry their guns around in Switzerland.

Concealed carry permits are tough to get in Switzerland, and most people who aren't security workers or police don't have one.

"We have guns at home, but they are kept for peaceful purposes," Professor Martin Killias, director of criminology at Zurich University told the BBC in 2013.

"There is no point taking the gun out of your home in Switzerland because it is illegal to carry a gun in the street," he said.

That's mostly true. Hunters and sports shooters are only allowed to transport their guns from their home to the firing range; they can't just stop off for coffee with their rifle.

And guns can also never be loaded when they're being transported. So there's no chance that a gun might accidentally fire off in a place like Starbucks in Switzerland — a mishap which has happened in the US at least twice.

I had read that Switzerland had the highest % of gun ownership. Wrong.  But I believe everyone is required to serve in the military and then takes gun home. They have trainings and licensing. We can have guns but with some laws in place. It's not 2nd Amendment all or nothing.

I think the school district/admins are potentially in a world of shit here.

Ethan's mother posted an open letter praising DOTARD several years ago. In fact, she signed it with: "“A hard working Middle Class Law Abiding Citizen who is sick of getting fucked in the ass and would rather be grabbed by the pussy.”

from that open letter...always with the realtors.

As a female and a Realtor, thank you for allowing my right to bear arms. Allowing me to be protected if I show a home to someone with bad intentions. Thank you for respecting that Amendment.

As I noted on the DT board, reasonable restrictions have been proposed and repeatedly struck down for the last 20 years. The Federalist society is currently hell-bent on removing the remaining restrictions on the books in states that still have restrictions. What sort of regulation do you think would make it through the courts in light of the current makeup of the Federal Courts and with Heller and McDonald controlling?

well, if the the current court can overturn their predecessors, who's to say it can't happen again? the courts are a sham.

The Supreme Court has now managed to significantly destroy its reputation in just one short year. They’re about to go even further on that path coming soon.

What shitty parents. Take away everything else we know right now, and just note that they're essentially abandoning their son, whom I assume they love, in his greatest hour of need. That's how fucking broken and selfish these people are. That kid never had a chance.

Preliminary indications to my amateur brain are that the son was mentally ill.

If so, stick him in an institution and let the family of the victims and society’s wrath fall instead on the parents. No death penalty obviously. But life in prison will do. Also sends a message, for whatever that is worth.

What if the parents are also mentally ill?

You just don't get it.  There is a war out there going on and it is only a matter of time before commies, ELF, blacks, browns, socialists, blacks, browns, gays, blacks,  Muslims, antifa come kick down their door and try to cancel God and His boss, Donald Trump.   We need to keep our guns stashed around our house, loaded, unlocked, and ready for quick access.  I mean the NRA says' when danger is seconds away, the cops are minutes.  Or whatever, just shoot and stand your ground.

They’re convinced that the black peoples are readying arms and are prepared to march into their neighborhood with guns a blazing. And the only thing that can stop it is Donald fucking trump.

Total fucking idiots.

This is sadly pretty on point for some of the cult.

Being an idiot or asshole or horrible parent is not evidence of mental illness. The kids writing is.

If such evidence emerges, then let’s debate!

I’ve seen the pictures and understand genetic loading. Guilty until proven innocent.

As you know, I’m kinda dumb and not as smart as you so I’m afraid you’re gonna have to try to spell this one out for me.

Thanks in advance amigo (or mofo).

They fucked up in the head.

I took a genetics class in college, but beyond chromosomal combinations, doesn't "fucked up in the head" (i.e., below average IQ, anger issues, psychosis) tend to revert to the mean?

It does appear to be a fairly significant climb, though, especially in one shot.
