Arch Manning: Doing his best JAG impression to fool scouts

i don't know why anyone is upset. fuck, number 6 has a story to tell for the rest of his life.  that interaction was the tipping point that started arch's rebound to a HoF career.

fuck, i still tell the story when drunk ass VY threw a pass to me one year at a frat party.  this is 10x better.

I do think Arch’s shit-talking and chest thumping w/ Sark was pretty cringe, but I couldn’t care less…if that’s what it takes to get his confidence back so he can play like we think he’s capable, then so be it!

Let's spend the next 2 weeks dissecting Arch bowing up over a Sam Houston State player.

I noticed when he was standing over him his right shoulder seemed to be a little lower, wonder if there is something wrong with it?

It was lame.  He should've been flagged for it.  Now it reinforces the idea that Texas, and specifically Arch, gets special treatment when a ref will rip his ass for something but won't actually penalize us for it.  But I moved on from it 10 seconds later.  Who cares.

Personally I think it’s pretty fucked up that Arch was even trying so hard to score a touchdown there. Players from Sam Houston are delicate flowers apparently. He should have tripped on purpose and pretended the guy tackled him on the 1 like I do with my nephew.

I’m sure guys like Tebow and Baker never talked their shit against any opponent outside the top 15

I see Arch trash talking the Sam Houston player is college football social media's pearl clutching moment of the week. Sure, it was dumb but Jesus will people find anything and everything bitch about. He's doesn't show emotion one week. He showed too much emotion this week. He didn't play with fire last week. He's playing with too much fire this week. It's almost as if he's just being can't winned. Will it make people feel better if he does it against a Florida player or does that also cause people to fetch their fainting couches? I'd just like to thank Sam Houston St for their service if they are what helps Arch right the ship.

Last year there were screams to replace Ewers with Arch.

A week ago Arch was a massive failure and “Who is our best back-up?  Get him in!”

Now we’re heading back to the promised land.

Well I much prefer entering the bye week with Arch having a great game than a bunch of question marks and calls for Campbell to get all the snaps in practice before Florida.

the first 2 throws were somewhat tentative/short armed but catches were made. the TD to the TE was a duck but got there.  Then he hit the crossing route to Moore with a great throw in the 2nd qtr and he was really good from there.

"Ari Wasserman has never completed in any real sport at any real level in his life. "

Not so fast, my friend. Are you not familiar with the renowned sport of competitive eating? This asshole lost the Mustard Belt to Joey Chestnut in last June's famed Nathan's  Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest when Chestnut downed 70.5 dogs in ten minutes. Two things for the record: One, Joey Chestnut is neither related to nor acquainted with Joey Freshwater, and, two, Wasserman didn't actually participate in this official International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE)-sanctioned competition, although he looks like he could be a star.

Okay I’m at a huge family wedding and missed the game. Having fun reading all of y’all’s hilarious comments. Maybe I read them during the vows, haha.

So is Arch going to win the fucking Heisman this year or what?

He has to go and dominate ou and uga's defense, then we can possibly be in some conversation if oregon, lsu, and miami lose.

What was this about? Talking shit to Sam Houston?

You asking  about the flex, or the screengrab?

screengrab is from ESPN’s College Football Final’s “That’s a Dollar” segment where they sarcastically give out a dollar to the most absurd /silly/stupid plays of the day.

they ripped on Arch and the Texas football Twitter account talking about arch having swagger …against SHSU.

(Btw, ou had two moments receive a dollar this week)

I'll settle for an SEC championship and National Championship this year. He can go after individual awards next year.

That one is looking over there.

And this one is like, "What do you want from me?"

I’d like to see him do it in Dallas - for a just cause.

I mean, to be fair, Manziel definitely is a douche.

If you do it every game, you are a douche

if you do it once, tell people to stop being pussies

Everyone amazed that football players talk shit.

I have no problem with a little shit talking but it feels a little cheeky to play like the worst QB in college football for three weeks then flex after scoring a TD on a likely 1-11 football team. Some of the stuff we saw from Arch felt a little bit like overcompensating on the psychological side. He wants to flex like that after running over an OU defender? Awesome. But that flex last night felt a little gross to me.
