For whatever this is worth, we have Waymos all over Phoenix. People I know ride in them all the time. As far as I know the news has reported literally zero issues.

Why does anyone give a fuck about Tesla taxis that don’t really exist and may or may not work? The service already exists and it works great.

Waymo uses a completely different technology than Tesla. Waymo has also completed millions of paid rides. I would ride in a Waymo vehicle. I would not ride in a Tesla robotaxi.

I won't ride in either.  But Waymo is much better technology, and is much more tested.

But I've now become much more likely to be hit by a "self-driving vehicle" next time I walk to lunch or drive to my office.  So, that's nice.

https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/5302053-elon-musk-america-first-pac-second-lawsuit-petition/?tbref=hp

Quote

A second class-action lawsuit has been filed against Elon Musk’s America PAC alleging that the group hasn’t paid voters what they were promised for signing a petition during President Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Three plaintiffs from Pennsylvania, Nevada and Georgia filed the lawsuit last week on behalf of anyone who is in the same situation, accusing the super PAC of not paying them in full for their signatures or for referring other voters to sign. The petition declared support for the First and Second amendments to the Constitution.

Quote

Musk and the group originally offered signatories, and those who refer others to sign, $47 for their signature and each person they refer before raising the amount to $100. The offer was just for those living in battleground states during the presidential election.

But the plaintiffs allege they weren’t paid the promised amount for signing or referring other registered voters to sign. The complaint states that one plaintiff, Steven Reid, worked as a canvasser for America PAC in Michigan and Georgia and referred “many voters” to sign but hasn’t received the reward despite “multiple attempts” to collect.

The complaint states that Reid estimates he is owed at least several thousand dollars for the referrals.

Spoiler

“Plaintiffs are in communication with numerous others who referred voters to sign the America PAC petition, who are likewise frustrated that they did not receive full payments for their referrals,” the suit reads.

This is the second lawsuit against America PAC over alleged nonpayment regarding the petition, after a man from Pennsylvania anonymously filed a complaint last month making similar allegations. That man alleged that Musk and the group owe him $20,000 for gathering signatures.

He said he made repeated attempts to contact the organization but “to no avail.”

A spokesperson for America PAC at the time denied wrongdoing and said the group is committed to paying “every legitimate petition signature.”

The spokesperson declined to comment when reached about the most recent lawsuit.

Musk also separately offered in the final weeks of the election season to give away $1 million per day to someone who signed the petition, raising some legal questions as the signers were required to be registered to vote. Another class action lawsuit filed in November alleged that was a fraud as it was predetermined who would win.

Terrorists need social media too. Speaking of terrorists, farm attacks in South Africa are real and brutal, with some claiming whites are targeted due to racial motives like ‘Kill the Boer.’ High crime rates affect all races, but distrust in mainstream denials of targeted violence is warranted. Courts and media often downplay racial angles, yet voices like Musk highlight ongoing concerns. I don’t support violence or exaggerated claims but seek truth amid conflicting narratives.

Well, when whites control the vast majority of farms, both in number and total acreage, it is to be expected that more attacks will be against them. Has anybody done any sort of bivariate analysis of the percentage of white/black farms and number of attacks on white/black farms? (I honestly don't know).

Since all the dOTarD administration does is lie, then everything they say has to be considered a lie. They say whites are being targeted? Probably a lie, unless actual evidence is presented, of which I haven't really seen any. If you have actual evidence of that occurring, I'll look at it with an open mind.

But even if white farmers are being disproportionately attacked by blacks, is that really genocide?

Especially considering the fact that 1) the Texas legislature has passed a law trumping any and all other regulation of driverless cars, and specifies that "the owner of the car" will have the same liability as the driver, and 2) the owner of every individual Robo-Tesla is guaranteed to be a single-asset LLC, something like "Owner of Robo-Tesla #356, LLC".....there will be nobody to send to jail, and no real money to pay for any damage they cause.  File suit against that entity?  Cool, it's immediately transferred to bankruptcy court, because that entity is now insolvent.

Related: bankruptcy lawyers would seem poised to make some coin in Elmo's America, except most people probably won't be able to afford to file bankruptcy.

It's true.  The ONLY financial requirement is that the car/owner carry the liability insurance minimums required by the state.  That's it.

Quote

Sec. 545.453.  OPERATOR OF AUTOMATED MOTOR VEHICLE.  (a)  When an automated driving system installed on a motor vehicle is engaged:

(1)  the owner of the automated driving system is considered the operator of the automated motor vehicle solely for the purpose of assessing compliance with applicable traffic or motor vehicle laws, regardless of whether the person is physically present in the vehicle while the vehicle is operating; and

(2)  the automated driving system is considered to be licensed to operate the vehicle.

And

(b)  An automated motor vehicle may not operate on a highway in this state with the automated driving system engaged unless the vehicle is:

(1)  capable of operating in compliance with applicable traffic and motor vehicle laws of this state, subject to this subchapter;

(2)  equipped with a recording device, as defined by Section 547.615(a), installed by the manufacturer of the automated motor vehicle or automated driving system;

(3)  equipped with an automated driving system in compliance with applicable federal law and federal motor vehicle safety standards;

(4)  registered and titled in accordance with the laws of this state; and

(5)  covered by motor vehicle liability coverage or self-insurance in an amount equal to the amount of coverage that is required under the laws of this state.

That's it.  Can each car be "owned" by a single-asset entity?  You bet your ass.  Does that entity need to have a human being who has legal, even criminal, responsibility?  Nope.  Does that entity need to have a penny to its name other than 1) the car, and 2) the minimum insurance policy?  Also nope.

Each car is a judgment proof death machine carrying jack shit in insurance: "Texas law requires you to have at least $30,000 of coverage for injuries per person, up to a total of $60,000 per accident, and $25,000 of coverage for property damage. This is called 30/60/25 coverage."

An Elon Death Taxi can kill you dead, and your family gets $30k.  So sorry!

It is. Read the law:

Sec.

Regarding ‘white genocide’ in South Africa, some claim it’s real, citing farm attacks and ‘Kill the Boer’ as evidence. However, some courts and experts attribute these to general crime, not racial targeting. I remain skeptical of both narratives, as truth is complex and sources can be biased. Distrust in mainstream denials of targeted violence is warranted, and you would be wise to follow voices like Musk who are highlighting the ongoing concerns.
