A Raleigh institution! A nice old Greek couple owns it, and had no idea about the double meaning when they put up the sign (they certainly do now).

None of this matters if you believe Gerry’s multiple post’s definitively stating the contract with our new coach is signed.

He could still walk away and we're not going to do anything.

I heard from a good source, that Schloss is just a smoke screen.  Ron Washington is the choice, and Nelson Cruz is coming on to be the pop fly coach.

I suppose it’s possible but I don’t think it’s likely for anyone to walk away from Texas after just signing a head coaching contract.

As much as my brain tells me it's Schloss, I feel like this big picture description is more Vitello.

The crow population in Central Texas is on edge too.

I went to UT and love Austin, so I’m pretty unbiased. Why would anyone be surprised if a coach left A&M for Texas? Aggies are weird and college station is probably a terrible place to be rich because you can only eat so much Chipotle.

Damn... not a shred of maroon on him.  Guess 3 years is enough to understand why the rest of his family wanted no part of college station.

That belt is awfully close to Burnt Orange...

Brent Z all but admitting he's gone

Note that Kurt Bowels shares the byline on this new piece.  He's got to have had a role in the timing and leaking of the Pierce firing story.

Zwinnerman isn't all but admitting he's gone (seems like he is), but the very fact that no one on the aTm side has reported anything or admitted there was even a possibility, to now having an insider say he has a meeting with College Station brass should be a pretty, prettaaaaay jarring realization for Aggies. Someone wake up @Longhornfrenzy becuase the melt that is about to happen is going to be epic, and Liucci is gonna be deleting threads the way Ketchum deletes entire grocery aisles.

That’s a really good point.  We know there’s no one in their admin capable of keeping a secret.

I have multiple friends in Spain in both Barcelona and Madrid, but they all hate McD.  Lulz.

I had McDonald's in Spain one time. It was disappointing by American standards. Not enough salt, sugar or fat.

I still think it's Vitello.

This process has likely been going on since before the CWS, and CDC seems to favor the rising star over the established coaches in the Big 3 sports since he's been at Texas... IE Sark and Beard.

You’ll have to ask Jimbo.

I'd say the process has been going on for much longer than that. I'd go back to before our own season was over.

As for favoring the rising star, we gotta remember that it wasn't CDC who chose Sark. Also, with Beard, I mean, who else was there, really?

I'll go Schloss, 'cos he and CDC are legit close, and I imagine they've discussed this job for years.
