So rush to the ravens for 12 mil. Who’s backing up Dak when he gets injured in week 4

Glad to see Rush finally get a good bag. He’s a capable backup who has won nfl games with solid play.  2 years  $12.2 mil no post yet on guarantee.  I think $6 mil for a seasoned backup is a cheap date. So Will Grier is the presumptive leader not camp for qb2.  Meh.

So what if Dallas has a shitty backup? At least it won't be much of a drop off once Dak goes down for the season again.

I'm not surprised that some Cowboys players are insulted by having to go somewhere else.

Look at our history, we give out stupid shitty contracts to underachieving guys to keep them here all the time.

DLaw was probably stunned that he didn't get a bag like Gallup, Zeke, Jaylon Smith, etc etc

He already did...his last 2 contracts(at least the last one) was very will priced for his production.

Wouldn't be the worst thing for Quinn. He needs 2 to 3 full seasons of bench time to develop before trying to start. He's nowhere near ready for the NFL.

Quinn can't handle a full season in college, what makes you think he can hold up to the grind of a pro season.  His best scenario is the Colt career.  Hang around, be a great teammate, play decent when called upon and have a 10 year career where he makes a boatload of money.

In exchange Anthony Davis has to sit on the Cowboys sideline in street clothes for two seasons.

dak to browns, what would that do to our books?

enough to cook?

Destroy them..... This is just a rumor to keep the Sanders to Dallas thing going.  Understand this.  They just restructured Dak's contract.  He's not going anywhere under normal circumstances or rationale people at the helm.  If he was going to be moved, it means Jerrah went cowboy and did something on his own and the first clear sign of dementia.

Dak Prescott to Cleveland Rumors: If the Cowboys trade Dak they LOSE $95m in cap space in 2025. The Cowboys currently have $33m in total cap space left. Dak has a no trade clause. The math aint mathing to this rumor.

Hmm what teams fit those colors?  You know...since the conspiracy is the SB opponents are already picked by the colors.

Jerrah tried to do it with Emmitt too... go around his agent and negotiate directly with him the season Emmitt sat out.  It was resounding success as well...... Dude has been a dipshit in negotiations for 35 years.

Why would you piss off your best player who has done nothing but ride or die for you?

Cowboys trading for QB Joe Milton and a 7 in exchange for a 5.

Not a fan of this move at all. Backup shows some good stuff in trash games, price goes up, team that has him cheap trades him. He's likely a preseason hero with little more upside. Maybe an OK backup, but I'd rather spend that 5 on a rookie, or use that pick to move up for a targeted player.

Got to agree with you. 5th round picks are quite valuable, you’ll find them starting all over the league.  My Lions got both Malcolm Rodriguez and starting OG Christian Mahogany in the 6th.

The Boys have made Dak the highest paid QB in the league. So Milton will never ever even see the field in all likelihood.  Poor use of resources by GM Jones

That area of the draft is great for guards, non-edge linebackers, safeties that can often contribute early. Cowboys have immediate need holes to fill long term. The FAs they signed are mostly on one year deals, or short deals. The best news about Milton is that he's under contract through 2027 at 1 million-ish. He may be a replacement for Will Grier as a backup, so they could still potentially take a flier on a young developmental qb late in the he draft. I really just don't like how they have dealt away mid round picks that could have more long term upgrade potential than what they got in return.

Guys they were definitely drafting a QB this year.  Probably in the 5th. Milton is better prospect than anyone they could have gotten on Day 3 in the draft at QB, AND they got a 7th thrown in for their patented "Priority RFA" they love so much.

He's going to cost just over 3 million, TOTAL, over the next 3 years.  By year 3 you'll know if he's legit or not and will definitely play a ton with Dak's injuries most likely. He's 25.  Still a really young QB prospect.

This is nothing but a win...like what?  I'd much rathe this than a 5th or later on Ewers, Howard, or Gabriel.

The guy that's missed 15 games the last 3 seasons...Like I'm THE Dak guy and even I know they gotta have a guy you want to play backing him up.

We'll see what Milton has...he'll get chances for sure.

Fuck, I’m agreeing with Drew. I need a drink, or a bong rip. I don’t know which.

I agree with Drew though. Now Dallas doesn’t have to reach for a QB. If one they REALLY like falls, then they can draft him, if not they can focus elsewhere.

I know it's tough to do for you. But honestly, I don't see how anyone is hating on the ONE really good move they've made this offseason.
