Newest EO straight up says that the executive is responsible for interpreting the law

https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/02/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-reins-in-independent-agencies-to-restore-a-government-that-answers-to-the-american-people/

Quote

The President and the Attorney General (subject to the President’s supervision and control) will interpret the law for the executive branch, instead of having separate agencies adopt conflicting interpretations.

I can't wait to see Roberts overturn Marbury v Madison to roll out the modern American version of the Enabling Act of 1933

I think that what that actually means is that expert agencies won't interpret their own enabling statutes, only POTUS and AG.

Where are all the folks telling us how this is good?

I am just amazed I am lucky enough to live through the best times and now watch the fall of Rome. I always wondered what it would be like. Just a bunch of idiots rooting it on.

Heil king trump!! Good luck people.

Literally no “keep it in the CR” poster will come in and defend this or 95% of the shit Trump does. They won and that’s all they truly care about. Thinking they’re rich enough to get a tax savings that matters, but don’t make anywhere near enough to matter. Thinking they are sticking it to “others” they don’t like, but pretending like it’s not self reflection on their own insecurities.

We're all too fat to do anything.

And too busy. Until there is no work to get up and go to, no one is going to actually do anything. People live pay check to paycheck. They can’t miss work for some revolution. People aren’t poor enough. We don’t even have shanty towns yet.

I'm really enjoying that Congress is indeed just like us. They are bending over and taking it in the ass just like the rest of us. Even Ted Cruz is looking more like me!

This was written in December…. Similar to a YouTube video someone posted I can’t remember who. A chilling account of what was to come and what has already been done. Again written before Trump took office.

they truly believe they HAVE to dismantle everything and start over and that a dictator is the only way, but hey at least he will be conservative.

there is no route to win over MAGA. All we can hope is that he moves so fast the leopards eat enough faces and it backfires.

"Dark Gothic MAGA" by Blonde Politics?  Yeah, I just watched that.  It's a bit much to process and nothing that I can anticipate will be implemented in Trump's lifespan, but if the vision of these Tech Libertarians comes to light, the retard-right and the moderate-right will realize MAGA is a lie.  There aren't enough racist-rights yet to make a shit.

People need to stop going to work if they really want to change anything.

But that won't happen because the middle class needs access to credit to survive.

A different version, and unless you’re 97 with terminal cancer yeah it’s set to happen in your life time unless we stop it.

I mean…y’all are starting to realize that we’re going to have to kill a bunch of these people in the war that they are starting, right? That’s how wars work.
It’s so fucking unnecessary and stupid (again, like most wars), but they have doubled and tripled down, and won’t stop until it’s an actual hot war.

Setting aside politics for the moment, I really think the only thing that might move the needle is a general strike, but I don't see that happening.

One of the problems with these techtards is that they have basically matured believing the rules don't apply to them:  bricks and mortar business, IP laws, regulations, etc.
It's really a chronic case of too cool for school.

Idiots like that eventually find out that they’re not too cool for lead. Everyone bleeds. Stupid, but here we are.

Even if we tried organizing a general strike, half the country doesn’t pay attention and wouldn’t know they were supposed to be striking.

Trump is now “considering” 25% tariff on cars, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals. Honda and Toyota have responded saying they would shut down their lines and lay off all workers - affecting Tennessee, Kentucky, etc.

With Trump’s fine work we will have to kill a lot less.  And the ones that survive will be a lot easier to kill.  Just drop off some Krispy Kreme’s.

Id love to see who has health problems that count on the govt for assistance - right vs left.  LFG

What

fuck

https://apple.news/Am5rISRHMQ3i7Wqaulde_Jw

Trump's Department of Homeland Security has now budgeted as much as $200 million on anti-immigrant ads -- and the first round of them make clear his administration intends to use this immense amount of public money to very specifically promote Trump, both in America and around the globe.

The ads also happen to look, sound, and feel exactly like campaign ads.

Both ad versions include soaring music and feature numerous snippets of Trump in action -- saluting troops, waving around, signing executive orders, speaking at podiums -- to the point where the casual viewer would likely have no idea they are watching their tax dollars being burned on these TV ads.

Polling is plummeting for Trump and musk.

https://www.nj.com/politics/2025/02/major-trouble-for-donald-trump-in-new-polling-is-chaos-catching-up-to-him.html

Quote

The poll pointed out:

Both Trump’s net favorability and net approval — meaning the difference between the share with a positive view and the share with a negative one — were higher than they ever were during his first term as president.

But Economist / YouGov Polls since then have shown Trump’s approval rating and personal popularity both falling over the past two weeks; this week’s poll finds Americans are less likely to approve of Trump (46%) than to disapprove (48%), and less likely to view him favorably (46%) than unfavorably (52%).

Trump is losing younger Americans:

Two weeks ago, 50% of adults under 30 had a favorable opinion of Trump, while 46% had an unfavorable opinion; today, 39% have a favorable opinion and 57% have an unfavorable opinion.

Trump’s favorability among adults aged 30 to 44 has also fallen, from 45% favorable / 51% unfavorable to 42% favorable / 55% unfavorable.

Meanwhile, Musk’s popularity if falling fast.

Those who have a very unfavorable opinion of Musk increased 7 percentage points in the past week, to 43% from 36%. This shift was especially pronounced among Independents and younger adults.

In its crusade against federal agencies, the Trump administration is targeting our election system, making potentially dangerous reductions to protections that help keep elections free, fair, and secure. On Friday, the acting director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency sent a memo to all agency staff notifying them that “all election security activities” would be paused pending the results of an internal investigation. The memo also stated that the administration was cutting off all funds to the Election Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center—a Department of Homeland Security–funded organization that helps state and local officials monitor, analyze, and respond to cyberattacks targeting the nation’s election hardware and software.
