I hate Dak Prescott and Dallas so much right now. I knew they’d blow it. Got the ball, almost 3 min left to go down and win the game. Decides to throw 2 long balls in traffic and both almost intercepted. He’s no Brady.

Dak hasn't looked this good against a legitimately good team in a long time.

That first one was a straight drop by Lamb. The 2nd one wasn't a drop since he had to lay out and it would have been a very difficult catch, but when you make over $30 million a year to play a game you're paid to catch that.

Quite simply the dumbest post in the thread and that's saying a lot..... Now go play in traffic.  JFC.

He hit him in the fucking hands. Top NFL receivers aren’t expected to catch layouts? Give me a fucking break. CeeDee fucked the game, he’s done it a lot, period.

you snap it before the 2 minute warning in case you don't convert.  that was a mistake.

Not a Cowboys fan. I have no dog in this fight.

But your post was the entire problem with the drive. They played like the goal was to give the ball back to Philly ASAP and then get the ball back as quickly as possible. They had 3 minutes and 3 time outs, and ran 7 straight passes in hurry up offense.  Just stupid strategy.

I mean. I don't think Dak is the guy but this isn't really the time for a comment like that. Dude balled his fucking ass off tonight. Not sure how he's supposed to catch perfect balls for himself.

Of course he's expected to catch it. He makes $34 million a year.

If it was Turpin he wouldn't be expected to catch that. It's a damn difficult catch to make, and therefore not an official drop.

Every receiver in the league is expected to catch the first one he dropped on that drive. That's a flat official drop.

The previous drive they ran it for -5 yards

For as bad as the defense started, this loss is all on the offense. Fumble inside the red zone and 3 straight drives to take a lead and nada. There will be very few games Dallas will have both sides of the ball making the most of their opportunities. 8-9 season upcoming, if that. No real playmakers on offense.

I don't mind the hurry up, it prevents them from subbing.  Four straight passes in a row when we've been running it well bothers me.

But they didn't do it because they were preserving clock otherwise they would have snapped it before the 2 min warning. Schottenheimer mishandled that.

They always find ways to lose never the other way around. If it wasn't CD dropping or Sanders fumbling it'd be something else.

It'll be Dak's turn soon.  they are both meh when the lights are brightest.  someone needs to tell Lamb that every catch doesn't need to look cool and go for a TD.  just catch the fucking ball.

not getting a sure 3 on the fumble  in the RZ was huge too.

the whole organization is basically clutchless losers.  they just take turns doing it.

That went a lot better than I expected, so maybe there's hope for a season that isn't completely embarrassing. Our defense sucked donkey balls, but they made adjustments and stepped up after the weather delay. Maybe, probably not, but maybe, they learned how to not suck. Offense in general was pretty good until the end, and you can't really fault Dak, even though I don't care for him. With a couple exceptions he played a pretty good game.

Absolutely.  You also don't give Philly a chance to set up their defense.

Thats what I really miss.  Staubach would find a way to get the win most times.  Cowboys were never out of a game and known for exciting comebacks.  Romo had a touch of that too but Dak rarely does whether its his fault or someone else's.

I don’t like either of these teams. As a neutral observer I think my biggest takeaway was that Dak looks really good. Better than he has in a while. Ceedee is sooner trash. Cowboys defense is also suspect. I see the Cowboys going 9-8 and either missing the playoffs or losing on wild card weekend.

I must have watched a different Romo era. We found an abundance of ways to lose with him as QB, just like with Dak. He might have had more "flash" but when it counted the most, he failed. Both the Romo and Dak eras are almost identical.

Pickens is good

really he needs to be WR1 and let CD take a back seat and work with the jugs machine or go somewhere else

CD got hit early in the third quarter on that play the Eagles safety got injured.  He wasn't the same after that.  I think he still heard footsteps.

Why was he in the game then

Romo was way better and more fun to watch than Dak

Romo carried the Cowboys during his time as a starter

This is the Cowboys culture. This is why we haven't done shit for 30 years. You pat your chest and you move on. Fucking GM had been doing it so why shouldn't the players.

A hot sports take that has been happening the last 30 years. Do tell more.

I can’t disagree with that but recall
Romo did pull out a few games one being against Buffalo stands out.  Cowboy comeback  magic been gone a long time.
