I don't care one way or the other, but is it possible a LBQT type person might be more inclined to use the word "outfit" more than a regular dude?

No. They call it a “look”.

Christianity is starting to make a comeback in the U.S. and other western countries, led by young people.

Why it matters: A decades-long decline has stalled, shaping the future of Gen Z, the drivers of the religion revival.

“We’ve seen the plateau of non-religion in America,” says Ryan Burge, a political scientist at Eastern Illinois University. “Gen Z is not that much less religious than their parents, and that’s a big deal.”

By the numbers: Data from Pew shows that, for decades, each age group has been less Christian than the one before it.

Americans born in the 1970s are 63% Christian. 1980s babies are 53% Christian, and 1990s babies are 46% Christian.

But there was no decline from the 1990s to the 2000s. Americans born in the 2000s are also 46% Christian.

Stunning stat: Gen Z-ers — especially Gen Z men — are actually more likely to attend weekly religious services than millennials and even some younger Gen X-ers, Burge’s analysis shows.

Between the lines: Young men are leading American’s religion resurgence.

Within older generations, there’s a consistent gender gap among Christians, with women more likely to be religious than men.

But not Catholic or traditional Protestant, they’re going to those pop collar garage band douche factories. And has been established don’t actually act Christlike in any meaningful way. It’s just a social club and justification to be a shithead human.

I respect enchubben more than you(and that ain’t much). He at least states what he believes in.

I believe that some of the posters on this sub are total degenerates, and this sub is generally an extremely poor reflection of the University most of us claim to have attended and trained at.

Oh, and some of the posters here are very fn stupid, and I am frankly shocked that they can circulate in society is a semi-functioning capacity.

My rep voted 'present' which is just as weak.  So called opposition party.  This is one of many moments Americans need someone to stand up to this shit.  And they fold.

Present and no vote at least show they don’t endorse it. I would be happier with that then a yay vote.

Fucking Sarah McBride, the trans rep from Delaware, voted for it. Queer people are cooked.

I cannot imagine the hate and personal danger she’d subject herself to if she didn’t vote for it. Of all the people in the House I can forgive this one the most.

I get you have a preconceived notion and that you seem to be emotionally invested in your point of view here, but I don’t think this checks out either. Unless it’s your claim all non-denominational Bible churches that play Modern Christian Music are “douche factories”

All?  No.  I'm sure there are a couple that aren't.

The vast majority?  Hell yeah.

This. For real, what the fuck. That’s on par, probably worse, with people like Fetterman and Sinema being turncoats.

I’d think the typical Baptist church or COC church would be more like that. From what I’ve seen, the non-denoms are drawing youth because it’s a compelling message (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) as unburdened by the baggage of Gen X and Boomer parents crap.

it seems a more honest and organic growth than if these kids would have had the drug problem our generation had….

you know the drug problem— we were drug to church on Sundays as often as they could make us.

Admittedly anecdotal but by far the largest and most outspoken of the hipster young churches in Ft Worth is Mercy Culture… and they’re rotten at the core. Led by Texas rep schatzline. Just shitty ppl.

Id never heard of it. Quick google search shows the first video of a woman pastor. Your assessment checks out for a lot of the complementarisnism purists.

I remember when we millennials were called lazy and shit on so hard when we entered the workforce some [coughs] 20 years ago or so.

But even with the shitting on, it was always accompanied by things like ‘most diverse generation to this point’ and positive stuff too.

GenZ gets shit on and then we get stories  like this which just makes me feel like we’ve completely lost a generation. As in, there’s nothing that can be done. The dye is cast and America just had to kind of deal with their complete lemon of a generation.

The first generation to grow up on social media seems broken beyond repair. If you start this cruel and conservative….. where does that lead when you’re old, crusty, and middle aged like me?

You bring up a good point because it’s widely assumed you get more intolerant and conservative the older you get.

Have you guys ever heard of irony poisoning? Sociologists think that is what happened online and what corrupted the youth over time.

I think the kid was right wing after thinking about it. But because government doesn’t know shit about people his age that are chronically online gamers who hang out in discord their clues come off as left wing, well the version of left wing they think exist.

Is this a thing now? "On fire for Jesus"? I've heard the phrase once before. Sounds exactly like hell.

I think these terminally online communities of youngsters are a great example of the back end of the horseshoe, or the flat circle, where extreme right and left wing beliefs start to merge or become indistinguishable.

*for good christians. historically in this country we've had government benefits until the courts tell the government that no, the benefits have to go to those people as well, at which point the benefits have a tendency of drying up.
