On the downside, this game might seal Venables fate

I hope. I love seeing that melting skeletor on their sidelines.

Yup, he needs to stick around for a long time.

Game was great

Victory Crazy Mouse was great

The City Of Dallas wasted a shit load of money on their Cotton Bowl renovations. What a shitshow of a fail that was.

Mack was scared shitless when he played OU/Stoops. He just didn't know how to prepare the team for this game. Venables appears to be the same.

I really wanted Sark to put another TD on the 49-0 game so that we get back the biggest margin of victory over the 65-13 that mack gifted us.

A couple interesting things from Sark after the game.

- He dropped a “I don’t give a shit what people outside the program think about us” on live radio. Spicy.

- The Niblett return is called a left pen.

- Sark said he hadn’t eaten yet today. Sounds like an intermittent fasting deal.

Damn what did he do against Florida eat a bunch of pizza or something?

seemed like nick brooks had a solid game overall after that early penalty.  did anyone else pay close attention to him?

He completely whiffed on Weims one play that got Arch popped after a throw. Towards the start of the third quarter.

Man, something about the punt return was so cathartic. Gotta be up there with the Golden TD against ASU, the 4th and goal stop against A&M, and the Bond TD against Bama as one of my favorite plays of the Sark era. Just felt like that “it” moment with us finally getting over that hump this season after the underwhelming start

Yup.  I'd also include Billy Pittman's TD from VY in 05.

The Shipley kick return to get us back in the game in 08. It was the moment that showed we were deserving and could beat anyone.

That's the one we were down double digits midway through the fourth?

going to crack a new bottle, don’t know why I’m tying in italics, but the Schieldaig Reserve Scotch will be opened tonight.  Goodnight my Surly friends. Just wish the Gators  could come back vs aggy.

That doesn’t sound right. We won that by 10. 45-35. They were #1 and many thought we were an undeserving #5. Sergio Kindle buried Sam Bradford to end it

I have a $1 bet with my company’s COO. We call it the “Trading Spaces” bet ( Eddie Murphy/Dan Aykroid movie  for the youngsters on Surly.  Known him before I even worked at the company.  He has to do the “walk of shame” and bring the dollar to my desk!  He’s a great guy, even though a big Sooner donor, as he’s in the program of the TX/OU game when they’re the home team.

Trust me, as I’m a peon when it comes to hierarchy at my company, even though my former BIL for 30+ is the CFO, he will have to do the walk of shame to bring me my $1

What a weird and glorious Texas-OU game. Usually this game involves tons of big plays, where one side of the stadium is going apeshit and the other is dead silent. It goes back and forth over the course of the game.

But not today. We had our moments for sure. But I can’t recall even a single time the north side of the Cotton Bowl erupted into anything more than a mild celebration. OU had no big, momentum-swinging plays. They forced no turnovers. They scored no touchdowns. They blocked no kicks.

For a game that was competitive until late, the Sooners did absolutely nothing remarkable.  Just a really uninspired performance by the bad guys today. I fucking loved every minute of it.

I’m not sure how good OU really is at this point.  What’s their biggest win?  Michigan?  Michigan kinda sucks.  Although they might be better with a backup quarterback in.

With Kentucky and Miss St up next, it’ll be Nov 1 and I still won’t know how good we are.

after Vandy, I feel like I’ll finally have a pretty good idea, but even that will be subject to change with an injury or two at a key position.

I mean ... didn't he take the very next punt after that post back for 6? If so, I think we may inadvertantly have found a use for Ketch.

Thank you for correcting my inebriated ass, after watching the whole Texas vs OU game, and standing in front of my TV.  Trading Spaces was an awesome movie back in the day.  I think I even misspelled Dan’s last name, as it’s unique and I’m too drunk too Google foo his MFng name.

Don’t hold this text against me, as I meant the best for all.  Glad I have a garage fridge for the West coast game.
