It hasn’t just taken a step back, it’s cratered and it isn’t exactly recovering 8 games into the season. (I honestly didn’t think I needed to even delve that deeply into the “this OL is playing like shit” discussion).

Username checks out, by the way.

The OL played a massive role in losing to Georgia and Ohio state last year, I don’t think they were elite or even above average as a unit. Take a step back from average and you’re bad. That was my point. Carry on.

They were fantastic pass blockers. Ass run blockers just as this one but this one is also ass pass blockers.

Klatt said he and Day would be most ready for NFL.  Cowherd said he’d leave for Buffalo if that job was available

Klatt also said LSU was a top 3 job but we were the best job

LSU is not a top 3 job lol.

I love Klatt, but LSU is behind Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, USC, Oregon, Florida State, and Notre Dame.

They apparently got a lot of money and great recruiting base.   Three coaches before bk won it all there

So, it seems to me unlikely that Sark is going "AWOL" to drink.  It would inevitably evidence itself in other ways.

Exactly! For example, if we were to barely be able to move the ball against UTEP, then nearly shit the bed against the two worst teams in the SEC, needing a miracle OT to win those games, largely due to the offense - which he is in charge of - running nonsensical gameplans and the players looking unprepared. That would be additional supporting evidence that Sark had gone AWOL.

Either we are the only institution that has a “wives problem” or other schools keep that shit in-house pretty well (or they don’t have them).

but I don’t think Herman would’ve ever let us have such an absolute dogshit O-line like the one we have in Year 5 of Sark.

Man, you were doing SO WELL up until this point.

Have you forgotten the complete garbage our OL was during Herman? Even this year's mess is an improvement over that.

Yeah like wtf,  Herman's trench recruiting sucked ass.  All of our highly rated classes were mostly built on the backs of highly ranked skill players.  But the big uglies? Nope.

And ironically, while the overall lines weren't that good, he somehow lucked into four OTs that played in the NFL (three that are still playing).

  1. Williams
  2. Cosmi
  3. Anderson
  4. Jones

Granted, he only recruited two to Texas out of high school (Cosmi and Jones).

True, and that's fair, but the school itself doesn't have a "a lot of money". Your own governor doesn't come out and have to tell the public they aren't using school funds to buy out their fired coach if they have a lot of money. They really did embezzele a lot of money from a foundation that supports a children's hospital, hence why it's a joke.

And yeah, 3 titles are great, but Nick Saban won their first one since 1958, who we now know is practically a football god, Miles lucked into his in year 3 with Saban's now defensive upperclassmen, as well as some extremely questionable rankings at the end of the year, leaving a 1-loss Kansas and a 12-0 Hawaii out of a title shot. USC should have been the opponent against Ohio State in 2007, but it is what it is. Then it took 12 years for another, which was luck, great recruiting with 2 of them being the best at their position in JaMarr Chase and Justin Jefferson, and Joe Burrow, who isn't a scrub. All of those titles were before legal NIL, and now that it's been introduced, look where they are now? They aren't Bama or even Georgia when it comes to winning consistently. Before Saban they were lucky if they even sniffed 7-8 wins. They were worse than aggy has been. Their run looks to be over unless they just nail it out of the park with hiring. They already failed with Kelly, and now they have to compete with Florida and Penn State. That's gonna be tough sledding for them.

Thank god Sark has prioritized "big humans." The results are just night and day!

How do you think they got the money?

They got the money by not hiring janitors. It's well documented, as you can see in the tweet exchange between Joe Burrow and his professor at LSU.

I admittedly don’t track OL’s year to year. Is it common to lose 3 starters, including a dominant 3 year starter all American LT, and not take a step back?

Taking a step back is one thing but falling off the ladder and landing at the basement is entirely another
