Just confirmed if ole miss wins out and Texas wins out they are in against Alabama. H2H win against georgia being the tiebreaker.

Texas, TAMU, Alabama are the only ones in control of their destiny win out and in.

It's destiny.  I've already predicted it.  Texas and aggy both will win out until Thanksgiving, and then Texas will destroy all of their hopes and dreams by beating them in Austin, in Atlanta, and in the CFP.

Look, if we are dreaming.  Give me Aggies one loss against us and Bama and/or Ole Miss takes an L in their remaining games.

We play Aggie in the SEC Championship game and beat them again.

Battered Aggie Syndrome sets in and they lose their first playoff game.

The three tied at 7-1 don't have the common opponent of Georgia (aggy didn't play, of course), so H2H not used. The Florida loss fucks us when looking at records of common opponents which is second tie breaker.  Arkansas, Kentucky, and Florida are the teams everyone played.

Imagine beating aggy in the home last game of the season, then in the SEC championship, then knocking them out of the playoffs.

A little early to be contemplating this, but according to this site, if Texas, Bama, and Ole Miss win out, aggy beats Mizzou, standings look like below.

This is correct.

Ole miss didn't beat georgia and Texas A&M wouldn't be ahead because of the disqualifier of losing the h2h.

That doesn't matter because aggy doesn't play Georgia.

Only way that can happen is Bama losing two games and Ole Miss would have to lose another game. Both highly unlikely.

Also our starting o-line would have to miss the bus to the stadium 3 times in a row.

The order is

1) H2H - aggie is out of tie breaker here. Texas wins.

2) highest ranked common opponent (georgia) Texas wins over ole miss

3) overall conference common opponents (doesn't matter not needed)

2. Three-Team Tie (or more): If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used😞

A. Combined head to head record among the tied teams;

B. Record of the tied teams within the division;

C. Head to head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place);

D. Overall Conference record against non divisional teams;

You get to A and aggy is out. 1-0, 0-0, 0-1

2 team tie highest ranked common opponent.

As fun as it is to think of scenarios, I can't fathom this OL standing up to sec poster child uga in Athens after how their D looked like roid raging monsters against us last year.

But it's fun to imagine.

I was able to mess with this a bit to get Ole Miss to have a better conference winning percentage than A&M. Just have Auburn stumble home and MSU win some.

I don't know where you found this but those are division tiebreakers that assume that everyone has played round-robin within the division.

I mean, the qualifier of a "pinch hit" Longhorn legend isn't that unfair.  He came in during the final minutes against Tech in 2003 when our Vince Young-led offense had been sputtering and drove almost the length of the field for the winning TD.  Off the top of my head I can't think of other late-game, coming-in-cold heroics to win us a game like that.

I kinda remember this game, and by remember I mean my wife, who was my date then, likes to remind me that I tumbled drunkenly down the stairs as I fell off the bleachers in the student section when we scored the winning TD. I used to always drink a little bit of Coke with my 32 oz whiskey in the days before they sold alcohol at DKR. I wasn't even still a student then, just had a grad student friend that still got student tix.

Fuck Vandy- here's to someone tumbling drunkenly down the stairs on Saturday
