@Harrison Stafford Hah! Squirrel Games!!

I would absolutely love to see a video of Ole engaged in "Squirrel Torment" if you're able to do so.

@Jack Straw Right.. sure. Tell yourself whatever you need to, but this is a safe space for dog men.

Still working on a name.

I thinking we’re going to go with Addison.

A tribute to when we lived in Addison and got maple and a tie to Wrigley Field.

Hahaha we’re still working on a name before we finalize. Have until we get her to the vet to finalize.

I want a Tech tie or Chicago tie - it’s hard with a female dog. Payton after Walter is one. My wife likes Rory after his masters win.

Both those names give the same problem you mentioned lol.

Quite honestly, go outside and scream the names.  If you can actually get the name out at full volume (you can't really fully yell a lot of names) and it doesn't sound ridiculous, keep that name in consideration.

What about Wendy? Windy City

Maybe Milly Bean... with just Milly for short? The Bean at Millennium Park?

There are females named Jordan, a small amount, but..

Allie for Al Capone.

Wendy sets up for a deez nuts joke.

“When deez nuts”

She seems to like Addison and responds. So we got that going for us.

My older brother lived in Chicago for a while when he was going to school and we went up to see him a couple of times and did the usual tourist things.

Perhaps call her O'Leary.

It's not sports related though. I'd suggest Mrs. O'Leary's first name, Catherine, but then you'd likely be surrounded by a buncha Grandmas at the playground.

Got the call this morning for my in-law’s lab. 13 years old and starting to lose the ability to stand on her back legs to poop. Poor girl. I think it’s just horrible arthritis, as her mind is fine and she is always happy when she sees my dogs. Going to take them to see her tonight and see if she perks up, but it’s probably her time very soon. Sigh.

Sorry to hear that.

On the subject of names, my wife and I discussed it for a year before getting our new puppy. She wanted a bunch of names that I thought would be either cliche, overused, or tragedeighs (not gonna list them because I don't want to offend anyone)

Matilda (Tillie) doesn't care that I'm feverish with covid and can't take her on a walk.

I'm hopeful that steroid energy may intersect with puppy energy soon.

My wife keeps a list of potential puppy names in the notes app on her phone. She probably has more than 100 at this point. We’ll be prepared when it’s time for the next pup. Our current dog came from the rescue with a name and we thought it fit him perfectly so we kept it.

I wanted to name my dog Oprah but was challenged with the "yell that name out at the park" game and acquiesced.

Settled on Olive.  She was definitely an Olive.  She's my avatar and has been gone for 6 years now.

My son accidentally named my dog Sebastian.  When we got him from the SPCA, my son said he looked like the lion cub from The Lion King, so let's call him Sebastian.  I laughed and told him that the lion was called Simba and that Sebastian was the crab from The Little Mermaid, but Sebastian stuck.

5 year old niece was in tears when my sister had to veto her puppy’s name choice of her favorite Winnie the Poo character
