I'm still new to the twitter thing and the way things are posted is a little confusing about what order they go in.
I've gotta click ten times just to find the source.

But when Malik said "no" he included an elephant emoji and I kind of read into it that he was inferring he and Hale are going to Alabama.

My suggestion is to just stop trying to decipher teenagers on social media. Even if you became an expert on the mechanics of Twitter, you still wouldn’t understand 17 year olds.

If there’s anything I’ve learned during my time following recruiting, it’s that elite 17 year old recruits love to publicly disclose their school of choice via a single emoji in the comments of someone else’s tweet. Especially when their highly publicized announcement is less than a week away. This is definitely something we should worry about.

Future 50: Javien Toviano talks recruitment
BRANDON HUFFMAN

(Decision within a month / before the season ... with officials this fall.  Will be interesting.)

Spoiler

Future 50: Javien Toviano talks recruitment
BRANDON HUFFMAN

BRADENTON (Fla.) -- Arlington (Texas) Martin cornerback Javien Toviano has a host of schools to choose from.

And a decision could be coming in the next month.

"I feel pretty close to where I want to be, so it's just seeing everywhere and still being open minded," said Toviano. "My timeline right now is before the season."

Toviano named a slew of schools still actively involved in his recruitment- Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and LSU.

He broke down each of those schools.

Michigan: "It's a great program in the Big Ten. They’re overlooked a bit by Ohio State, but I think that the program itself is very historical with a winning culture. Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, him staying there and winning the Big Ten was big."

Ohio State: "They’re always in the running for the CFB playoff and that has always been a dream of mine, to win a national championship. And then to have the cornerbacks they do in the NFL."

Texas: "I love what they’re doing. Of course, with Arch, the 'Arch Effect' thing is pretty cool. Him finding a home, it’s cool for him and he gets to leave his own legacy. It’s cool to have Arch Manning a part of their program. I think everyone wants to see them get over the hump and I think they will do that this year."

Texas A&M: "One of the best relationships I have is with them, with coach (TJ) Rushing and coach (Jimbo) Fisher. I know playing for that fan base would be even better."

LSU: "We’re trying to get out there the last week of July. Just getting back out there, knowing that it feels like home to me and it felt like home when I visited. Coach (Robert) Steeples, I like coach Steeples a lot. Coach (Brian) Kelly, a lot of people have their one idea of how he is, but he’s down to earth and a cool guy to play for."

Oregon: "It's an ironic situation with realignment, but they could benefit greatly if they go into a good conference. Dante Moore, he’s kind of like Arch too, and being teammates with a guy like that it motivates you."

Toviano took just one official visit, to Michigan, but has a few more in mind.

"I'm trying to get to Ohio State and Oregon in the fall, for my second and third official visit and I'm thinking about going to LSU and then to leave the last one for either Texas school."

A five-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings, Toviano ranks as the No. 22 cornerback nationally and the No. 4 cornerback nationally.

Sounds like from the feedback at camps and the regard of Mitchell from other schools, ole’ Sydir might be in line for a big ratings bump this fall. Hate to see it.

Yeah but that Rivals guy wants you to know that Sydir is fat and not an NFL prospect, and is therefore a 3 star kind of guy.

11:34 a.m. ET: Dylan Edwards edges Peyton Bowen for fastest man. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

11:34 a.m. ET: Dylan Edwards on my hand time was 4.37 in fastest man contest.

11:24 a.m. ET: We got two clocks on Adepoju Adebawore with a 6.90-6.93 3-cone time. That is an elite mark for a NFL EDGE prospect let alone a rising senior in high school. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

11:16 a.m. ET: Standouts in OL/DL 1on1s:

Adepoju Adebawore is on another level in terms of twitch and explosive movements. That, paired with his elite length and bend around the edge is a unique package as an edge rusher.

Cayden Green has done well and is moving his feet.

Ernest Willor had the most wins among the 2024 prospects and looks the part.

10:54 a.m. ET: Four-star TE Jelani Thurman with a nice slip for a catch. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:53 a.m. ET: DB group is elite, best looking group physically and play-wise by a mile.

LB group is weakest group thus far, not a ton of star power performances at this point.

Dylan Edwards has most juice of the RB’s, separating himself.

Adepoju Adebawore, Collins Acheampong and Sydir Mitchell are MVP’s of the DL group before 1-on-1’s – Cody Bellaire, Scouting and Rankings Assistant

10:47 a.m. ET: Edge Chandavian Bradley and Adepoju Adebawore are dueling in twitch. Both going through bags with speed and pop. Both have drawn praise in the drill. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:42 a.m. ET: Four-star EDGE Rico Walker showing off his hands. Just snagged a ball one-handed. His college decision is coming soon. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:39 a.m. ET: Routes on air for the offensive skill players. Oklahoma QB commit Jackson Arnold has a little too much velocity for WR Jalen Hale to handle. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:38 a.m. ET: 2024 QB Michael Van Buren has looked good. Thrown with pop and touch. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:35 a.m. ET: Iowa State commit JJ Kohl is coming off a strong Elite 11 performance. He’s already looked good so far today. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:34 a.m. ET: Not a stellar linebacker group after Raylen Wilson pulled out of the event. Michigan State commit Jordan Hall may be the best through drills so far. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:25 a.m. ET: 2024 RB Jerrick Gibson off to the side. Being stretched. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

10:25 a.m. ET: Lot of big bodies on the OL here, not many developmental types and most are well over 300 pounds. 5-star Miami commit Francis Mauigoa carries the weight the best and has the lightest feet of the group. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:24 a.m. ET: Malik Muhammad has a terrific build for a cover cornerback. Long arms, skinny ankles, wiry strong frame. Moves smoothly in drills. – Gerry Hamilton, National Recruiting Analyst

10:20 a.m. ET: Texas commit Johntay Cook II is highly technical and refined with his change of direction. That’s an area where Notre Dame commit Braylon James can continue to improve. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:18 a.m. ET: 2024 blue-chipper Jonathan Echols is working out as a TE here. He could be an EDGE long-term. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:11 a.m. ET: Javien Toviano is noticeably fluid in DB drills early on. He’s able to flip his hips and turn with ease relative to some of the other DB’s. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

10:11 a.m. ET: On3 Consensus 4-star EDGE and Sooners commit Adepoju Adebawore is a different level of twitch and explosiveness. – Gerry Hamilton, National Recruiting Analyst

10:10 a.m. ET: 2023 TE Jelani Thurman and 2024 EDGE/TE Jonathan Echols’ basketball backgrounds are apparent. Big long power forward types playing as pass catchers. – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

9:57 a.m. ET: Oklahoma EDGE commit Adepoju Adebawore is extremely twitchy in warmups. He’s noticeably explosive in warmups. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

9:48 a.m. ET: Clemson commit Noble Johnson dressed in black given time the defensive players. Could be working as a defensive back today. (Correction: The black and white represents 7-on-7 teams.) – Jeremy Johnson, National Recruiting Analyst

9:39 a.m. ET: Clemson linebacker and former 5-star Trenton Simpson is here to work the camp. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

9:38 a.m. ET: TE Jelani Thurman has one of the best frames here. The son of former NFL linebacker and WNBA all-star center Kara Braxton has a near 7-foot wingspan and tons of room for growth. I’d expect him to take a big jump physically once he’s in a college strength program. – Charles Power, Director of Scouting and Rankings

9:25 a.m. ET: Miami commitment Francis Mauigoa is the most physically impressive lineman at the event.

FSU commit Lucas Simmons frame has extraordinary potential. – Gerry Hamilton, National Recruiting Analyst

So are we just capitalizing the word “EDGE” in every football context now?

”Looks like he’s got some grass stuck in the EDGE of his helmet there”

Probably means he typed on phone and he uses it commonly in reference to the position and he didn’t check before publishing it.

Adepoju AdebaworeCollins Acheampong and Sydir Mitchell are MVP’s of the DL group before 1-on-1’s – Cody Bellaire, Scouting and Rankings Assistant

10:36 a.m. ET: Jerrick Gibson is back on the field.

I must be a masochist, but I watched a bit of the 2015 spring game out of boredom… Our piss poor depth, skill position talent, and team speed jump off the screen. IDK if Sark will win championships, but it’s undeniable that the guys he’s landed in 2022 and 2023 will get us a helluva lot closer to one. I suspect that fewer Lorenzo Joe’s / Dorian Leonard’s and more Johntay Cook’s / Brenen Thompson’s will make a world of difference.🤘

Don't use apostrophes to pluralize. Thank you.

Also, don't post Charlie Strong football. Thank you.

Sorry about the apostrophes, my bad… I must’ve been delirious after watching that Shawn Watson shit show.
