I'm right with you.  I even had a subscription to the Conservative Chronicle.

Same here.  I was a daily Rush listener back in the day.  I believed he was truthful in all things.  And he was sometimes pretty fucking funny.  One day he said that nature had already repaired all the damage that was caused by the eruption of Mt. St. Helens as an argument that we can do our worst and nature will repair itself faster than we can destroy it.  Having never been to Washington, I believed him.  My dad went a couple years later to Washington on vacation, and visited Mt. St. Helens.  He told me the actual truth, that there are whole areas around that volcano that were still desolate (this was likely late 90's). I often wonder what would have happened if I'd have missed the day that Rush said what he said, or had my dad not visited.  Would I have kept listening long enough to turn into a Republican automaton incapable of questioning the reality I'm told to believe in, despite my lying eyes?

I know it hasn't even been reviewed in a committee yet, but does anyone know about any progress with the 2018 Doo Doo Act of Butt Ass?  I know it was moving slowly in backdoor channels, so it's likely it'll drop quietly.

It's been backed up in committee for a while, but when it's eventually squeezed out, it will move through the lower chamber rather quickly. I expect it to make a splash when it's finally passed.

Not sure if serious but I don’t think that’s what he wants to do.

I think it's plausible. It's not what he started out to do. I think he started out to make a name for himself, but he's gotten a sense of how bad the rot is though and he doesn't see anyone on the left capable of going toe to toe with Trump. If no one emerges that can actually engage Tump in a fight, decent odds Avenatti chooses to do it directly.

If someone does emerge that can be a credible threat to go toe to toe with Trump, I think Aventatti will back that person instead and continue to be the outside attack dog.

I don't see why anyone would want to read Spicer's book.  The only way he could guarantee readers is if he spilled some dirt.  The Left would embrace him (for this book launch) and he would sell books to them.  Obviously his book isn't a tell-all or Trump wouldn't have supported him.

I'm sure his publisher is loving the 74 total pre-sale books.

Trump will be tough with Putin. When Putin asks to finish on Trump's face, he'll refuse! Tough negotiator, art of the deal, etc. etc.

Putin: I'm going to finish on your face Donald.

Trump: No please don't, I'm a germaphobe, remember.

Putin: You rawdog pornstars!

Trump: Ya, good point, OK go ahead, please not in the hair though.

Flew over it on the way out of Seattle in 2013.  I had no idea we would be flying near it.  I recognized it instantly from all the photos I had seen in a 19802 National Geographic.  Not even close to being back where it was. It was also a rather small eruption as far as those things go.

I think Avenatti is too smart to run for President. I think he was asked about this recently and his response was along the lines of, “I know I’m unqualified to be president of the United States.”

Spicer wrote a book of lies defending the administration and has sold tens of copies. He could have put Trump on blast and told the truth. He would be a millionaire shortly if he'd chosen to go that route and one with a clean conscience. Fuck him.

A lot can change in two more years of being the Left/Middle's champion against Trump in the public arena. He enjoys being Trump's foil.

Spicer's tough guy act straight out of the gate in his first presser ever is one of the most entertaining things we'll ever see in the history of American politics. The beaten-down, fatigued shithead with little pink albino mouse eyes in his last few is the second.

Same here. I listened to a lot of him over the years, and also several of the other conservative hosts. I'd like to think they got into the business with the right intentions and got corrupted by power/wealth. Who knows. Maybe they were always in it just for a buck.

Looks like someone feels threatened.

Coming from the official WH account is a new low.

So the White House is specifically targeting Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris today with propaganda and character assassinations.

This seems like an abuse of power, if not illegal.

They were always in it just for a buck. You go through the bios of Rush, Hannity and the like and very few of them were educated. I think Rush lived on welfare for awhile before he started. They’re just like Trump, they found an ignorant audience full of hate and fear and they fed it and gave them what they wanted to hear. And made more money and influence than they ever dreamed of. Truthfully, I enjoyed listening to them only as an entertaining comedy show. Until I realized that there where people who actually believed their crap and started acting on it.

That is an exceptionally ill fitting jacket, and highlights something really interesting about that whole class of political hacks - campaign operatives, "political strategists", and flacks - many if not most of them are perpetually broke.

They live in expensive markets and are inconsistently employed, and when they do work, they don't make as much as you'd think. Plus their work involves a lot of professional drinking and keeping up with the Joneses, leading to spotty credit histories and mountains of debt.

This just ruined the orange and white game for me.
