Abbott being Abbott

If the feds are against what Texas is doing in regards to the WipeOut! buoys, why doesn't Border Patrol just remove the red buoys from the Rio Grande. It would be an interesting showdown if Texas National Guard or DPS try to stop border patrol from managing an international border. The Constitution is very clear which party has authority and which one does not.

I'd have to assume anyone who joins or remains in CBP at this point is probably sexually aroused at the thought of migrants dying.

We’re in a free fall. Thanks Abbott and company:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/texas-tops-list-worst-places-100524916.html#:~:text=Texas has received the number,%3A Life%2C Health %26 Inclusion.

Texas has received the number one spot on a not-so-pleasant list: The top 10 worst places in America to live and work in 2023.

While Texas landed at number six on CNBC's yearly America's Top States for Business study, the state scored significantly low in one category: Life, Health & Inclusion. Factors in this category include:

  • crime rates

  • environmental quality

  • health care

  • quality and availability of childcare

  • inclusiveness in state laws such as reproductive rights, protections against discrimination and voting rights.

Texas received 53 out of 350 points for its 2023 Life, Health & Inclusion score, giving it an F in its Top States grade and the lowest nationwide, securing its number one spot on the list

Just another example of the right pursuing actions and policies that result in outcomes that are directly the opposite of what they claim to be seeking. ERIC must have been finding too many fraudulent registrations on the (R) side. When Republicans talk about election security, what they really mean is making sure they have enough control over the process to guarantee or manufacture the desired outcome regardless of what the people actually want.

The issue with Eric is that it required states that joined to engage in certain voter registration efforts designed to increase turnout. Rs certainly don’t want to increase turnout so they will take increased voter fraud.

This performative bullshit has become very expensive.

Meanwhile, less money for education.

So, they basically want to make it easier to commit election fraud in Texas.  Lovely.

Every accusation is a confession.

^^^^ This.

It is crystal clear.  The GQP is taking every step they can to allow for their voter fraud plans.  Note that of the voter fraud prosecutions of the past several years, almost all of them were of GQP voters.

In short form, Greg Abbott lit $45 billion of taxpayer money on fire so he could put on a show to support his presidential ambitions that have always been as limp and dead as his fucking legs.

They have no problem with voter fraud that benefits Republicans.

now they can hold up any results and claim there was voter fraud, that must be investigated. Cyber Ninjas 2.0 comes in and claims ‘yep there was fraud’, throw out those Harris county votes

The reason Texas Republicans continue to take their country back is obvious. Unless and until they began to experience serious blowback from voters over a couple of election cycles, they will continue to mimic the Taliban. They don’t see a downside to overseeing the greatest regression of rights in our lifetimes because to date, there has been no downside for them.

So we the taxpayers of Texas are gonna be on the hook for all this mess as it gets litigated in court, aren't we? All because a cripple on a power trip felt the need to order human fucking beings to be treated so cruelly as to push them back into a river to drown...so fucking stupid...

Hot Wheels needs to be abducted by the CIA and sent to Geneva or The Hague or wherever they hold trials for people that commit crimes against humanity.  Hopefully the little courtroom glass stockade of shame is not wheelchair accessible and the guards drag his broken ass in there by the shirt collar.

Everybody is waking up to the fact that Harris County, on its own, could pretty much flip the state offices and US Senate seats.  Another big county could easily push them over the line if they can't quite make it.

Republicans have to wage total war on Harris County and the other large counties or they are out of power.

The alternative is that Republicans try to do things that attract new voters to the GOP.

As this has gotten more coverage in the news I am sure the Republican voters of Texas will rebuke Governor Abbott for his shameful conduct.

Referring to Sleepy Joe as "President Biden" or "Mr. President" is unacceptable. The 2020 election was stolen from the rightful POTUS, Donald J. Trump, via massive fraud. Abbott is a RINO cuck for recognizing Biden's illegitimate authority. Throwing in some human rights abuses against migrants to appease the base won't save him, Republican voters are too smart and principled for that.

My older brother, who was always being told to cut his hair, pointed that out numerous times.   It was not well-received by Dad.

My parents harassed me to attend church it was near Christmas so I decided to go with them.  I wore a Skinny Puppy t-shirt and dyed my hair half-green and half-red for the occasion.   Guess which one of the 3 kids did not get a bible for Christmas and was not asked to come to church again?   I brought a book with me as well, might as well be productive.

Signs and wonders. But I think once you quit hearing "sir" and "ma'am," the rest is soon to follow

See, you've got it wrong Mr. President. The razor wire, pushing people into the river and floating buoys are there to protect the migrants! We use razor wire to protect them!
