Jimbo 2019: The Only Tail Getting Busted is Candi's

I thank aggy for two things. First, of course, is the comic relief they evidently can't help but provide. Second is the fact they were so ordinary during our darkest days. No matter how bad we were, it would have been worse had they themselves not also been a laughingstock. As they will continue to be...because it’s just who they are.

Yeah a record of 8-5 with 4 cupcake games isn't really good.

Yet, TexAgs affiliation with the aggy athletic department is not a conflict of interest, or a walking NCAA violation?

Or that ESPN has its biggest college football stake in the SEC and uses their influence to push them to higher ratings in the polls and indubitably pressures the playoff committee to give the conference preference in making CFP selections. Talk about a conflict of interest with real repercussions.

It's interested that aggy isn't interested in scheduling Big 12 teams, but a lot of other SEC teams are and do.

Neither aggy nor the SEC are interested in matching aggy up with a decent B12 team. SEC’s reason is to protect their reasonably new footprint development into Texas. aggy’s reason is to protect their fragile cult mindset and narrative that they are now somehow better and above the teams in their former conference that regularly whipped their ass when they were in it. An aggy loss in such a scenario (which is all but assured) does major damage to these narratives. The risk is too high (and for good reason).

The irony (which they did not expect) is that the matchups they did end up with which they were certainly expecting to win and therefore reinforce the superiority narrative of the SEC proved to be more damaging overall.

8. Why are they scheduling teams from our conference, but we are not scheduling teams from their conference?

Because Texas isn't afraid of putting the "SEC > Big 12" narrative to the test, and aggy is specifically terrified of doing that?

Doesn’t it take both teams from each conference to schedule a game against each other?

Good Stuff....

Watching Finebaum right after Bama's loss to Clemson..... Finebaum was saying Bama may find winning SEC in 2019 more difficult than beating Clemson this upcoming season.  Said Bama may really find it difficult to Win at A&M in 2019 with Jumbo there.

So basically, LSU and Bama passed on this guy, and he's down to a team desperate for literally any quality recruit, in Miami, and a team desperate for literally anyone who can play CB because they have a defensive backfield full of safeties, even though this guy likely can't play CB and is more of a Safety? Got it.

Sounds like a certain team ~90 miles east of Austin.

Williams is a good football player but with limited athleticism. He’d be an upgrade for the Ags in football IQ but he’s got the same limits so many of their DBs have...

6’ 180

4.74 40 — 4.41 shuttle — 31.3 vert

for a S that’s not good. For a CB?! Yikes.

Why is he so highly rated? Looks like his composite is still top 200.

247 is completely biased. Perroni and company always get their guys pushed higher than they should. Green is a guard, but still gets rated as a 5-star tackle. Young is way overrated as a CB with bad measurables even for a safety. Similarly Slo'Neal had shitty measurables but was still a high 4-star. Williams has played the SEC mods game and they have gamed his rating by being a Bama commit until the last rankings updates have passed. Most of our guys are underrated on 247 and they throw us a bone by overrating a guy like Owens. The Texas 247 mods suck to the point that even an abject piece of propaganda shit like Perroni has more respect than EJ Holland. Sadly even the morons that populate the Texas 247 boards are smart enough to see where the real bias is on 247 and laugh at aggy acting like there is some BOMC when the reality is that aggy gets the reflected glory of the SEC heavyweights.

That thing about perception is why they suck. Perception is not life. Perception is not reality. It is not all about hype. You have to achieve results. They want to somehow convince people they are great without ever having to actually do anything great.

Just like the SEC hype can only take you so far. Eventually you have to win the games.
