One problem:  His concluding question to TAMU fans is whether they'd rather be 8-4 in the SECX3 or 11-1 in the B12.

That's a false dichotomy.

They would not be 11-1 in the B12.

They would be 8-4.

It's who they have been, who they are, who they will be.

Exactly. They won 11 games in the B12 exactly once. Their historical performance is their historical performance. They are who they are.

At least up until this year, they've done better in the SEC than in the Big12, not the other way around.  I haven't checked to include 2024 (and likely won't).

Plus what would the quality of recruits look like once they realize they won't be playing in the SEC and secondly they have to live in college station.

I always laugh that in football, we have more top 3 finishes in the last two seasons that aggy has, ever

It would be funny watching BYU or Colorado push their shit in every year.

Aggie always wins imaginary games.

You can't run out of time in imaginary games.

Hey aggy: There’s a guy in this video that truly does get A&M.

Also, this should be linked to every Blue Chip prospect going forward.

Same as Tech, though they do have a win % against the techsters...at 53%.

In conference play or because the sec lets them play d2 schools?

Without the FCS high schools, their record is about the same as they had in the B12, according to more than one post here.

aggy immediately picked up the SECSEC turdition of playing the FCS school just so they could "fit in" and talk with their new "hunnert yeer desizhun" brothers about the late season bye.  they are such fucking goobers.

I was referring to their records in conference in the Big 12 and SEC.  They have been more successfuly in the SEC, which blows their "gauntlet" argument out of the water.

Don't forget their SWC conference winning percentage

Ehhhh... I know a few KSU and okie State fans and obviously there is one ISU poster here...

I might agree they have delusional dreams, but unlike aggie and sand aggies I'm of the opinion that they largely accept their reality and know a lot of balls have to bounce their way to even make the CFP.

Well, every single one of them thought Texas was a problem that they were better off living without. As I said, delusional.

Hmmm.. okay. I will say they were all a lot less delusional and shit tossing than Nebraska, aggie, CU and Misery.

I do find it amusing that Misery has found the most "success" in football since the "escape from Texas power".

Judging by this board, we are more self-loathing than most.

Those were the fans, trying to cope.

Their leaders thought they had Texas right where they wanted it- forced to be on their schedule, forced to share viewers and attendance, underpowered due to being in a second tier conference. They were so pissed off when the stars aligned for Texas to leave for a better deal, and Texas chose to do so.

Yeah, and now after awarding us the All-Sports Trophy, the SEC thinks the same thing. Ain't that a stitch?

Hrrr Drrrr why can’t we compete with the sips in NIL?!?

Texags received 1.1 million dollars from the 12th man foundation. No wonder Billy reports everything is sunshine and roses in the Aggie sports departments.  It seems to me that @immamac is overlooking a potential revenue source.

"The 12th Man Foundation, Texas A&M’s athletic fundraising arm, saw its annual revenue drop by more than $25 million from fiscal year 2023 to 2024—just as it assumed the hefty financial burden of helping cover former Aggies football coach Jimbo Fisher’s massive buyout.

According to a copy of the organization’s latest tax return, obtained by Sportico, the 12th Man Foundation reported bringing in $95.7 million in FY24, set off against $116 million in expenditures. It brought in $121 million in total revenue for FY23, according to its previous IRS filings.

The latest returns show the foundation’s overall reported shortfall owed primarily to a decrease in contributions and grants, which went from $113 million in FY23 to $85 million in FY24.

During that same span, Texas A&M’s athletic department expenditures jumped nearly $50 million, according to the school’s NCAA financial disclosures, from $194.6 million in FY23 to $243.8 million in FY24—the fourth-highest increase among FBS public universities.

A 12th Man Foundation spokesperson did not respond to an email inquiry.

In addition to supplementing the Aggies’ athletics department with tens of millions of dollars to fund scholarships, programs and facilities, the 12th Man is also partially on the hook for paying former football coach Fisher’s record-setting, $77 million buyout after he was fired in November 2023 with eight years left on his deal.

Through the fiscal year 2024, Fisher was due $26.7 million of the liquidated damages. Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork previously said that the 12th Man Foundation would apply unrestricted funds to cover the initial $19.4 million Fisher was due within 60 days of his firing. That payout is not individually identified on the return.

The 12th Man Foundation ended the past fiscal year with $216 million in net assets or fund balances, according to its tax return, down from $231.3 million at the start of the cycle. The organization’s president and CEO, Travis Dabney, earned a total compensation package of $552,610, as the 12th Man saw its overall salaries jump nearly 13% to $7.37 million. Leading the list of 13 independent contractors paid six figures or more was Maroon & White LP—the parent company of the online fan forum TexAgs.com—which received $1.1 million for “external marketing services.” The law firm Norton Rose Fulbright followed with $674,444.

Damn.  Someone else that has me on ignore.
