this idea that i have multiple screen names is hilarious. which other poster here is supposedly me using a different handle?

I think he is under the impression that you and BO&W are the same person. Not sure where he got that from.

Several meaning one. You’re the only person having trouble with this.

He is not the only person who thinks this could be objective, or even in error without knowing the call.

What if the call is a RB screen right w/ a fake to WR screen left but the RB runs a wheel route. The QB fakes to the left then eats it (having seen the RB take off). Statistician could label this a self sack when it is on the RB, but you would have to know the play call, and that it included a fake.

plenty of people have praised the D.  I have consistently said they were Championship level and that the O, specficially was not quite there.  ST were meh to below average.

unless you have some ethereal RB like Ricky, or the D is the 85 Bears, the QB is discussed as "leading the team" in almost any football context.  I'm not sure that anyone said Quinn "turned the program" around,

It has been stated, but mostly as a platitude.  No one wanted to write a dissertation on the value of QE committing to Texas and the impact on recruiting, the upgrade to the position and the success that helped put us on track for additional recruit upgraddes which followed from the additional contributions of a variety of players and coaches across the team and then go into detail about each statement.  But some want to spin that as worship or just simply cannot understand the subtly of normal human communications.

I can just imagine the poor retail cashier at HEB that greets someone with, "Hi, how are you?" regretting that when some posters really think they want to hear about their rash.

Playcall is irrelevant because self sack is graded post play happening…people who grade the sack would not grade that a self sack because they see the totality of the play. And the correct play by the QB in that scenario would be to ground the football in the area of the back because that is considered a busted play.

Our NIL had more to do with anything than Quinn ewers commitment.

my favorite part of all is the "a lot of people say....", "everyone says on other boards and other places...".  then you ask about it/where,when,who and "crickets".

Its like people make this stuff up in their heads to start their own circular anger train arguing in their heads.

"all these people say Quinn is the only reason we are back!"

"yeah, that's bullshit, fuck those people"

"we are back in spite of Quinn!"

"who is the fucker that is saying it is ALL because of Quinn?"

"yeah, fuck him!"

There was a video posted here yesterday, so approximately 29 pages ago, where Sark says this

tldw "...His legacy is way bigger to me. If QE doesn't come, I don't know if the next 20 guys come" & etc.

He also led Texas to the following records assfuck.

2022 - 11-3

2023 - 12-2 Big XII Championship - Football final four

2024 - 12-3 SEC best regular season record SEC Championship game (OT loss thanks o-line) Football final four and the only team that went back to back

Yes he did not win a national championship but Jesus fucking Christ what more do you want?
Guy was a fucking Longhorn legend and if you are going to shit on great Texas players that did not win a national championship the list is very long.

Blaming that on Quinn is fucking beyond stupid.

I can’t keep up with this thread, because it makes my brain melt, but for those who are arguing one way or another…

STOP BEING DUMB FUCKS !!!

Quinn missed games EVERY FUCKING SEASON at UT.

Crediting Quinn with wins when he was standing on the sidelines is beyond regarded.

And doubly regarded when not even remotely close to the team record even including starts by backups.

You may be asking yourself…

we probably make the championship game if the D doesn't allow a 75 yard screen pass untouched for a TD with 10 second left in the half.

we were only in the semi because our O bailed out our D who couldn't stop one guy in the 4th quarter against ASU and our K choked.

God damn some of yall are fucking stupid.

Are you talking about the QB that changed the play at the line and threw a perfect 4th down pass to save the game ?
That QB ?
I'll just jump in for a second to bring up something that occurs to me often when I hear this from Sark or the sports mafia that reports on the Horns:

We often hear about "that TD (or big play) was a result of (QB) changing the play at the line. I called a different play, but he saw the defense was (in whatever formation), made the change, and the result was (great play)."

We never hear about the times when the QB changes the play and it ends up being a complete clusterfuck that ends up in a turnover (INT, loss of downs, etc) or DOESN'T change the play because they didn't read the defense properly and the play gets blown up or stopped for a loss.

How many times have we all yelled "WTF?!?" after a stupid 4th down play or "WHY IS HE THROWING DEEP WHEN WE ONLY NEED 2 YARDS?!?" We blame Sark for the playcall, but who's to say it wasn't Quinn changing the play or NOT changing the play (if warranted)?

Sure, it's great when it works, but there are usually a ton of mistakes that led us to the point of needing that great play. It's like shooting double-bogey on every hole but saying you had a great round because you chipped in for birdie on the 18th to beat your playing partner by 1 stroke.

Sure we do. Both BOW and Derka have pointed out some just for Ewers on this thread, and it's not unusual to hear on Sportscenter or wherever that the QB checked into the wrong play, misread the coverage, didn't see the LB spying, or didn't read the DE dropping back into the passing lane or what have you, leading to an incompletion, punt, TO, TOD, or Pick 6 or whatever. "Simply didn't see him" or "threw right into the coverage" or whatever. I mean, literally all season long every season we hear that shit.

Go back in this thread. I’m pretty sure someone here said he threw one 80+ as a sr or something. I mean, I know that’s not 8th grade, but it’s far fetched.

on one hand its hard for me to follow the stupid logic spouted in that interview, on the other i've seen the dallas cowboys mismanage everything for 30 years now

i'm sure the truth is somewhere in between

I think there's Youtube videos of him working out with Armani Winfield, throwing it 75 yards.

vince young maxed out at around 74 yards, but sure, 14 year old quinn was throwing 80+. anybody who believes that has probably sent money to multiple nigerian princes.

Unless the person claiming it is a self sack, whomever the fuck that is, he will need to know the o line scheme of the play, what the backs were supposed to do and what routes were adjusted or not. Also what the defense did.
Just because a QB turns into a rushing defender does not mean it is a fucking self sack.
Jesus how hard is it for you and your other screen name to understand.
I would call it a "self sack" if:

- the QB runs out of bounds behind the LOS without throwing it away first.

- the QB has time but sees all of his options covered and decides to tuck it and gets tackled behind the LOS rather than chucking it OOB over a receivers head.

Either of those two instances have an option that doesn't lose yards, but the QB decided not to take it.

Now, tucking it and getting tackled 2 seconds after getting the ball because someone whiffed on a block is not a self-sack.

He was around 16 when he chucked it 80ish yards. Back in the day the video was on maxpreps.com. Then tOSU put one out on IG or Twitter of him throwing about 80ish when he was there. You can probably still find those videos everywhere through a Google search. Whatever happened seemed to have happened between 18 and 20, but it was clear he didn't have the same arm strength after the Bama game in 2023. It doesn't look like he's capable of throwing more than maybe mid-60s now except maybe once in a blue moon, and it's looked that way since early two seasons ago.

And VY is a weird comparison. He had that weird wind up and almost shot put motion. VY had to have been really muscling it to get over 70ish. It probably would have been more apt to shit on 14-year-old Ewers by comparing him to Roethlisberger, who threw that 80+ yard incompletion 5 or 6 years ago that was all over Sportscenter for a while. It's harder to believe that 14-year-old Ewers threw 80 yards if Roethlisberger and his perfect throwing motion at 6'5" threw 80 yards at the farthest.

It's stuff like this that really makes it difficult to engage you civilly. There's easy-to-find video out there of Ewers doing these things, but you decided to insult people instead of fact-checking yourself.

saying that ewers couldn’t throw 80+ in middle school  is “shitting on” him. i’m not sure there’s a more accurate, concise encapsulation of this thread.

Couple of observations.

1 - Kenneth Grant is taking shit seriously.
2 - There was neither a sack nor a self sack involving Ewers.  Chum for the haters.
