Proof that Biden is a true American.

Both he and the country currently have a (likely) terminal ass cancer.

Does it? I'd sure as shit like to know when he knew.

I obviously feel like a terrible person asking, and I feel for him and his family, but such is life as the POTUS.

He was pretty sharp in his last SOTU address, 14 months ago.  Then came the debate disaster in last June, or 11 months ago.  You may have also noticed that until a couple of weeks ago he was pretty much out of sight since inauguration day.

I can imagine him feeling symptoms last year. I'm guessing they are announcing this because he won't last long.

If it has spread to bone it likely was diagnosed greater than 12 months ago assuming yearly PSA test (not sure but figure POTUS would get that w yearly physical) although I guess a really aggressive type could arise and spread since his last physical

We need to stop electing and allowing old men to be elected.  First, we watched Biden decline mentally and now we're watching the orange narcissistic idiot decline mentally.  You have to be at least 35 to be electerd president.  There need to be an upper age limit.

What kind of protections could we put in place to prevent imbeciles like George W Bush from being elected?

Too bad he didn’t have a SOTU performance at the debate. He might’ve won the election and we’d wind up with our first female president after all.

It's really hard for me to imagine they were running an 81 year old man knowing he had cancer. That would be quite the story if they kept that secret.

Maybe he wanted to spend his last years trying to hold the line against Trump. I doubt anyone had to hold a gun to his head.

Then that makes his decision to run even worse. It was bad enough to expect voters to vote for someone that they were fairly certain would not be able to fulfill the duties of the President in 4 years. But running, knowing full well that you'd be incapacitated or dead within a year of inauguration, because you wanted your last hoorah to be beating Donald Trump again? Not exactly a glowing example of democracy and selfless service.

And it’s also possible he didn’t get yearly PSA screening. But honestly, I don’t know what the protocol is once you’ve had a few negative tests in a row.

Quick Google search shows that man above 70 are not recommended to undergo yearly PSA screenings

I really, really hope that you're right, and this is a new discovery. The alternative is...bleak.

The question is what Joe Biden knew and when he knew it. Kidding

We may be talking about different but related things. I am suggesting Joe Biden thought his duty was to beat Trump at all costs, not whether it was actually the ideal strategy for achieving that end. He can be both noble and wrong.

The half dozen posts continuing the same line of conversation really show you definitely meant it when you said you felt like a terrible person for asking.

We should have totally different set of physical and mental health screening guidance for potus compared to my elderly uncle. The risk dynamic around false positives is totally different. It’s not a population health equation at that level. Well it is. But a very different one.

Trump tweeted out something like "Melanie and I were deeply saddened to learn of Joe Biden's diagnosis", that was 100% not written by Dotard.

Biden's camp and the democrats had to prop Biden up or the Republicans were going to 25th amendment his ass.  It's not complex.  The problem is that Biden then thought he was still the only hope and salvation even though his public gaffes were increasing.  I respect Biden and really wanted him to be the answer, but that debate against Trump even caught Trump off guard how mentally off Biden was.  There was no hiding it at that point, and he had to go but that left little time at that point for anybody to coalesce and win the public over on an unknown.  Even still, we knew Kamala wasn't corrupt and that should've been more than enough.   What we're fighting over is that a bunch of winey turds didn't show up for whatever reason, even though they all have reasons afterwards for not doing their basic due diligence in a Democracy.  The apathetic and all those that voted against their interests because of the likes of Joe Rogan bullshit fucked us over.

I’m not sure you know how the 25th works

Some guidelines don’t even recommend it after 70 anymore without previous elevations or risk factors. I will not be following said guidelines for myself or my patients though.

The voters have that power.  They just kind of suck at the whole voting thing.

She had the temerity to refer to herself as doctor even though she wasn't a medical doctor.  Like everyone else that gets a phd.  It was a whole bit.

So?  You still prosecute to the fullest extent possible whether it makes any difference or not.

His contention was that it might have made a difference.  It would not.  Hell, I'm not even sure convictions affirmed by the Supreme Court would have made any difference.

Why lie about something so patently false? What is your deal? In my experience, everyone that justifiable can put Dr. ahead of their title, does.

I can't even believe that I am entertaining the notion of getting involved in a conversation with an aggie of how people with academic doctorates refer to themselves in real life situations compared to physician's use of the term doctor.

Every one with two eyes, no phd or md required, knew that biden was mentally declined for a long time. Everyone in the inner circle certainly knew it. Everyone that has dealt with dementia and the aging process with family personally knows this. Again, no phd in ed psych or whatever required. They covered it up. It's pretty obvious. I would wager a large amount that they had indications of the prostate cancer over a year ago as well. No reason to believe that they did not cover that up as well.

Sorry that you guys have to hear this shit from me.

The possibility of a president’s mental acuity degrading quickly are present regardless of age. Early onset Alzheimer’s can manifest in folks in their twenties or thirties. That is rare, sure, but it can happen.

Perfect opportunity to announce all this stuff in 2023 and either have hi step down immediately, or after demands to do so, and elevate Harris to POTUS.  Why would this have been seen as a bad play?  Especially if you make republicans demand it, then it’s not just a stunt to get a female potus.

Early-onset Alzheimer's typically appears in the 40s, 50s and early 60s. However, it is not unheard of for an individual to be diagnosed in their 20s or 30s, especially in families who carry one of the three genetic mutations predicting early-onset Alzheimer's disease

I’ve seen this referred to as young onset Alzheimer’s.

It was diagnosed in May of 2025. Unless you are some foreseeing savant, shut the fuck up.

Well I’m saying bullshit. Yes it’s possible for cancer to metastasize before being discovered/diagnosed in the general public, but the president of the United States doesn’t get to not have health checks for long periods of time.  So if I’m being asked to believe that this cancer formed and metastasized over the course of a few months, I’m skeptical.

I read that as that was the joke-- as in he was trolling her for using her Dr. title despite not being a medical doctor. In his mind that was funny. No, in his mind that was hilarious, hence the pin.
