Herbert, Darnold, Geno Smith, Kirk Cousins? Lulz. Might as well keep going and include Trevor Lawrence, Daniel Jones.

Andy Dalton? Lol. 4 or 5 straight playoff losses

Good point. Dak is leader in the clubhouse for $/playoff loss. The value goes up even further if the Cowboys don’t even make the playoffs.

Kirk Cousins has gotten like three massive contracts to go 1-4 in the playoffs, but yeah, lets just blame Dak and let Jerry and his clown ass off the fucking hook.

Jerry is the root cause.

Who is letting Jerry off the hook? Jerry is the problem.  Dak/CD/Parsons and McCarthy are his decisions.   We are arguing Dak's value relative to his contract.  Dak, McCarthy are variables.  Jerry sets the product of the equation, which is where the main issue lies.

This right here.

I don't blame the players at all. Them and their agents want one thing, to maximize their earning potential. Good for them. The players are who they are. It's up to the front office to put the team together to the best of their ability based off what they see from the players. The players aren't putting the teams together.

The Jones circus latches themselves to a core of players who can't win. It's been going on forever now. They love their own players but don't value free agents at all. Even though year after year, their own players show they fail when it matters most.

It all depends which situation you end up in to how you are judged. Mahomes was fortunate to get drafted by KC, who has one of the best offensive coaches in this era. Their front office went out and got him weapons. The offensive approach and gameplan allowed him to succeed. Now imagine he got drafted by Carolina or Chicago, who have no idea what they are doing. Totally different journey.

Dallas loves their flashy positions but has no idea how to fill out the rest of the team outside of them. This will never change.

Dak has probably the worst body language I've ever seen out of a QB. Just sits there doing nothing while his team gets drummed. No fire, no passion, no rallying the troops. That's what really pisses me off. The guy just isn't a leader. Nobody wants to rally behind him. That's a problem for any QB, let alone the highest paid player in the NFL.

It's almost as if you've already forgotten how Romo would casually shrug his shoulders and laugh after throwing picks.

Dak has weaknesses but this level of criticism goes beyond the pale. To say he has the worst body language of any QB you've ever seen means a) you just started watching football in 2016 and b) you only watch the Cowboys and only when they are on offense.

In other words, the only way what you wrote could be true is if you've never seen any other quarterback play or you suffered a TBI in 2016 and have retrograde amnesia.

And somehow missed OU’s Arnold’s glorious flame out last week.

So you're saying that dAk pReScOtT SuCkS aND iS OvErPaId. Every team pays their best players and still builds rosters. But not Dallas, can't afford $8 mil for a running back, so just blame the highly paid players.

There is only one way any of this will ever change. Players need to stop signing contracts with Jerry and saying publicly that it's because of team management. Draftees also need to publicly make clear they do not want to play for Jerry Jones. Even then it's a long shot, but as long as these assholes keep taking Jerry's money he'll never get it through his fat fucking skull that he's the fucking problem.

They go after lots of FAs and miss.  Often it’s because agents don’t buy into the No State income tax lower offers on 8 game checks.  This season it was impacted by having a lame duck coaching staff, anither reason Jerry should with fired or extended fat Mike.

I wasn’t really high on Derek Henry as he’s 30 and had a big dropoff last year in TN and he’s above 2200 touches.  That shows the difference in having a better line in Balt and having a running qb like Lamar.  I think had he come here he’d be doing better than the guys we got but not much behind this line.  I think it would have been a waste.

they should have spent that $8 mil on a DT though based on jourdan Lewis’ comments about zim’s lack of detailed prep it wouldn’t matter.

I’ve met Jerry a few times and every coach including Parcells say he only wants to win.  But he wants it on his own.  I don’t think he’s the GM in terms of anything more than big contract players and top picks.  Stephen and Will are the day to day and that portends poorly for the future.  Stephen is adamant that one signs your own FAs and rarely an outside one, and he doesn’t know how to leverage some players into additional picks, which are the currency of the league.

Now consider the NO defense dngaf with that lead and this week Dak didn’t do jack shit until the Ravens said he could…of course with a price. Tick, tick, tick…

Who does he make better?
 Who does he throw open?

What’s his signature quality?  Shitting the fucking bed when it counts.

Most of Dak's stats come from when the game is out of reach. When the game is close, he is no where to be found. While the defense is awful, it would be nice if Dak showed up earlier in games instead of waiting until the 4th quarter to do so.

The biggest problem with Dak is inconsistency with accuracy. Throws high a lot. Throws low a lot. Throws behind guys.

That's doable if you're on a rookie contract and they surrounded you with some top end weapons. Not good when you're eating a ton of the cap and they're surrounding you with Schoonmaker, Jaylen Tolbert and Jaylen Brooks.

Asking low level receivers to have to work to make catches only pro bowl level guys routinely make is a big problem.

Jerry isn't hiring a guy who is an even bigger diva and attention whore than he is.

The next hire should be a young offensive mind that's excelling in the league. Joe Brady is reinvigorating a Bills offense that got stale. Someone like that should be the hire.

Instead he'll hire a retread.

One can hope.

The shit show would be a reality show gold mine.

garbage stats do count as stats.

They haven't led to playoff wins. As of right now, they're not even leading to regular season wins.

This is a fair post, and I agree with most of it, except for saying Dak is better than half my list. I think he is equal to them, but they don't come with the ridiculous salary. What I do take issue is you blaming the defense, coaching and not Dak. Many on YouTube have broken down his performance against Green Bay. From taking horrible sacks when he could have thrown the ball away and kept the team in field goal range, to staring down and throwing to the covered wrong player on his first INT to set up a short TD drive, to his' "I'm being paid by the mob to throw this game" pick six, Dak is the most responsible for putting the team in the 28-point first-half defect. It was all on Dak. Dude sucks.

Half your list has at sometime been the highest paid QB and remain high paid players.  The difference between a $55 and $60 salary is minimal.  The real advantage is a high performing rookie or a cheap vet like baker or Darnold. And decent contract management so it’s not wasted with huge dead cap numbers.

I’ve been burned by that before too. I can’t figure out why it says that, but it seems to be a regular thing

I have the rare night off from the family.  I'd ordinarily sign up for voluntary hemorrhoid surgery over watching NFL football, but I thought it might be a decent Thursday night diversion.  Haven't seen Beetlejuice^2, looks like a prime opportunity.

Like any NFL game, it's on a local, free channel but only if you live in that market. Otherwise, it's on Prime only for those who don't use online streams.

My fiance loving Amazon to shop comes in handy Thursday nights for NFL.

I’m walking past this memorabilia store and as great as this era was, it’s like being alive in 1984 and reminiscing about how great the Cowboys were back in the mid 50s. Thanks Skeletor.
