That wasn't a prayer or sermon, that was a political speech. But the biggest red flag to me was absolutely no mention of Christ. God is portrayed as this distant being and people are supposed to be leftist social activists in order to be 'good'. Those are the words of a false prophet that has no personal relationship with Christ. Unfortunately there are many American churches filled with those types. Lost people.

Entirely predictable "prayer" service with a woman bishop in the Episcopalian "church".

When you're done w/ your banning, please tell me how these quotes from Jesus support this ridiculous fucking statement.  Also, please tell us how supporting Trump jibes with what Jesus said, you worthless, evil cunt.

Luke 6:20-21
Then he looked up at his disciples and said: ‘Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.’

Luke 4:16-19
When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’

Matthew 25:34-36
Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’

Mark 10:21-22
Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, ‘You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.’ When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.

Mark 12:41-44
He sat down opposite the treasury, and watched the crowd putting money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums.  A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which are worth a penny. Then he called his disciples and said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For all of them have contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.’

Luke 14:12-14
He said also to the one who had invited him, ‘When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in case they may invite you in return, and you would be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.’

Luke 16:19-25
There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man’s table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried.

Luke 11:39-42
Then the Lord said to him, ‘Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You fools! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? So give for alms those things that are within; and see, everything will be clean for you. But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and herbs of all kinds, and neglect justice and the love of God.’

Luke 12:16-21
Then he told them a parable: ‘The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’ Then he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.’

Here's ONE of my favorite parts of this -- how Trump lied, yet again, because that's not just what he does, it is what he IS.  "Liar" is his very nature.

"She failed to mention the large number of illegal immigrants that came into our Country and killed people."

She LITERALLY fucking acknowledged the criminal nature of some immigrants by noting that many are NOT criminals.  Her exact words:

That statement plainly states that while some immigrants indeed are criminals...."the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals."

Oh, and another thing I love -- it's apparently WRONG to "bring your church into the world of politics."  Huh.  FASCINATING.  I had no idea that was such a great wrong:

whitehouseprayer.jpg?m=1624991623

The theology on this shit is not complicated.  And what truly fascinates me is that the evangelical movement has been so focused on "the Antichrist" for decades.....that the first chance they got to swear fealty to the Antichrist, they prostrated themselves before him with vigor and enthusiasm.  Fucking amazing.

Because I see it as the objective taking of a life, and I don't need religion to argue the humanity of an embryo or fetus. But I feel like that debate is for a different thread.

That's certainly part of it. There's things I agree and disagree with concerning both parties... I'm sure that's the case with most people. Even when I tolerated a GOP that was less interested in immigrants, refugees, the condemned, or our allies overseas, Trump has ramped up antagonism to all of these to levels unseen in the GOP pre-2016.

His stance makes sense to me if you think of it (and he'll have to confirm or deny his own belief here) that if abortion is the full stop murder of human beings, then that is in many (and potentially his) minds as "murder is such a huge issue that of course being against it should oversdhadow the other stuff". So the R vs W being a non-issue now clears the path to vote against the MAGATs

All else being equal, I tend to gravitate toward female doctors vs. male.  I think women are better suited to being doctors.

I see specialists that are women and tend to agree. I'm lucky that my primary physician is foreign born and maybe the most gentile man I've ever met. I guess I've been lucky with male doctors because there are only a few that I didn't like.

Hell, I think women and minorities should be running everything and purging the downsides of white man rule. Since those traits are on easy display now, I don't have to enumerate them. I and other men are striving to be woke to Me Too and BLM. I've been shaken from complacent self-congratulation by those movements.

The anti-woke agenda that's been embraced or unopposed by a vast majority of Americans perfectly states my objection to white man rule. (For the record, I'm an aging suburban white boy.)

Since the election, I've felt more profoundly disappointed than angry. I thought there were a minority of vile humans in my house. It turns out that I'm a dubiously welcome guest in theirs.

Texas hospitals now have to ask about citizenship. More than a few MAGA types start to rant that it's none of the hospital's business and can't they see that they're white. Then they're reminded that this was a recent legal requirement from Governor Greg Abbott and then they proudly state that they're an American citizen.

I witnessed this at MD Anderson last week upon my mom’s admission to the main hospital. The staffer apologized in advance before launching into her scripted question.

Back around the turn of the century my sister omitted a presidential internship (Clinton) from her printed resume. Then-speaker Hastert made the final hiring decision on congressional parliamentarians and she didn't want to provoke uncomfortable interview questions. The recruiting staff vetted her thoroughly but at the last minute asked her to delete it and print a fresh copy for her final interview.

I shudder to imagine what purity tests are being implimented for “non-political” civil service jobs.

On news interviews, Truno officials keep repeating that Trump has a mandate. Wish one interviewer would push back that Trump had a very close win with under 50% of the popular vote. Far from a mandate.

I think you can count those who couldn't be bothered to vote at all in an election of such clear choice as part of Trump's mandate. I no longer believe that that vast ocean of fuckwads would rise up for the actual cause and identity of America. They will sleepwalk through this decline.

If normal issues that were once part of the political discourse go sour, the Ministry of Truth will remind them of the socialist enemies poisoning the country and who must be purged. Those who look up from their phones will accept this. Most won't bother to look up. Recall the proletariat in Orwell's 1984. The mass of citizens just accepted everything and went about their lives.

I'll overuse this gif, but it so perfectly fits the moment for me. The train is rolling, and I have no desire to take the trip. But, I'm comfortable for the moment.

Trump's team looks to have done their homework this time around. They have their enemies and policy list that they want to get rid of. I don't believe Trump has any idea what he's signing except what the non-elected officials are telling him.

The good news is that any action that he takes via executive order can be fully rescinded if we are allowed to a nonTrump President in the future.

I do think your Title VII comment is very relevant to how critical this agency is, and for which agencies we shed the most tears for.

Some stocks about to go up.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon will begin deploying as many as 1,500 active duty troops to help secure the southern border in the coming days, U.S. officials said Wednesday, putting in motion plans President Donald Trump laid out in executive orders shortly after he took office to crack down on immigration.

Acting Defense Secretary Robert Salesses was expected to sign the deployment orders on Wednesday, but it wasn’t yet clear which troops or units will go, and the total could fluctuate. It remains to be seen if they will end up doing law enforcement, which would put American troops in a dramatically different role for the first time in decades.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not yet been made.

The active duty forces would join the roughly 2,500 U.S. National Guard and Reserve forces already there. There are currently no active duty troops working along the border.

Then the Florida guard will be used to invade Greenland. Cuz they know how to work in swamps. And swamps are green.
