What were Jonah's "antics" at Florida?

He pimped a walk down by 7. Schloss told him to cool it. I was pretty impressed with Schloss in the moment but it really wasn’t a big deal.

Schoss playing the long game. Giving bench players a chance in a clutch situation. Didn't work out tonight, but could help in a future pressure situation.

Evidently it was viral. The announcers and Helobious’s friends on reddit said so!

I’m going to assume the left/right splits on Crooks must have been extreme

They probably should've looked up Jonah being like 0 for 6 with the bases loaded 😪

I think he may have had a hit last weekend with the bases loaded. You know, to get the lead in the only game we won?

Some strange coaching decisions in this game by Schloss. Maybe he didn't care about the result.

I think the fact that we saw Stewart and Chamberlain in clutch hitting situations tonight answers that

I didn't see it so it's not an official stat.

after he didn't pull Grubbs, it seemed like he was letting it go.  the 3 PH in a row was a bit strange but once he PH for Will you knew he was fucking around.

OU threw their closer back to back nights and ours won’t pick up a baseball til Monday.

That and letting them little league ball us to death for 5 batters in a row was the difference.

He also put Grubbs in too soon when the situation didn't call for a change. All around strange coaching decisions.

Schloss probably already knows we are gonna run rule those bitches tomorrow and win the series.

SEC Tournament will be interesting.  I wonder if he buys into all the OMG winning the SEC T is harder than Omaha crap.

Oh great …. that makes all the Ks better..

I’m in the business of scoring more runs than the other team.

Let’s go be Kentucky fans if we want to hang our hats on HBP and not striking out.

Of course he doesn’t

Maybe the best coaching job in the history of Texas baseball. It’s fun to watch, I’d love a trip to Omaha. Lineup has a chance to be sneaky good

Augie getting the 2000 club to Omaha springs to mind.

Not striking out 17 times usually leads to more runs for our team business. …

Jonah turns 18 tomorrow. Hopefully he gets to play and brings in the winning run on his birthday.

Vote to not track players birthdays until they’re legal/at all

They only announced it on national TV during yesterday's game.

I hope he sits all the regulars tomorrow mainly to watch the reaction on this board.

I wanted that to happen in game 2 after we had sewn it up.  Regulars get time off and reserves get some PT.

I'll forward this message over to Way and Moreland.

Jonah ain’t scared. Forget the result. yes I absolutely wanted him to be the hero, but the reality is he hung in there during the at bat, it was a hell of a take on 2-2 to take the count full. I was super impressed.

They need to stop throwing Riojas because he is guaranteeing us a loss at this point.

Him and Grubbs need to switch roles. Riojas is a 1-2 inning guy now. It takes him almost 22 pitches to get out of an inning now.

Not sure how we can make any definitive statements about Riojas after an outing where I believe 5 of the 7 hits he gave up didn’t leave the infield. It wasn’t anything like his previous two outings.

We've seen Grubbs start this year and it wasn’t pretty. My hunch is he is just as much a one time through the order guy as Riojas.

We really need to hope we get a pushover 4 seed so we can get through that first game with secondary arms and line Harrison up to pitch the 1-0 game.

Yep. This staff cannot afford to work out of the loser’s bracket. Gotta get to 2-0 in a regional at all costs

I think I laid out the stat earlier this week about A&M going 4-7 in their last 11 to end last year.

I am not a huge believer in momentum because everything basically starts over in the postseason and oftentimes you are only as good as the starting pitcher for the day, but it sure would be nice to win this series just from a vibes standpoint.

No Volantis or Grubbs today will make it interesting. OU threw their closer two days in a row so I would assume he is done but Skip has run guys into the ground before.
