I want to watch it to reconnect with that time because it was so special and so much fun to experience. Then I balance that with the feeling that we are so far from that moment now and have no hope of even sniffing the NFC Championship.

It was a great run. I doubt I’ll watch it until the Spring if then. If it was one show yea I would wedge it in. But listening to Jerry tell the cameras how great he is for however many episodes doesn’t sound appealing at the end of August.

Nah, there is zero chance he's ever thought for even a second that he's made a single mistake. He thinks he's doing a great job. He's a textbook narcisist.

I think you’re wrong.  Jerry admits quite a few mistakes publicly.  He has often said he failed to give Romo the supporting cast he needed to win a ring. He has said Chan Gailey and Campo were mistakes. That several of his free agent signings and trades were ill advised.  Said firing Wade mid season was wrong and he hasn’t “fired” another coach since.  He simply failed to give them a new contract.  Jerry has his faults and some glaring but almost every player and coach loves working for him because he wants to win.  That’s because unfortunately he’s not demanding of them, doesn’t hold them accountable, coddles the shit out of them, and doesn’t like demanding coaches that want to work the team in Wichita Falls in 103 heat vs soft SoCal.

Admitting mistakes and actually doing something to correct your actions are totally different. It's like someone in a relationship who keeps saying they are sorry but keeps doing the same shit over and over. Jerry has been doing the same shit for 30 years now with the same exact results.

He doesn't want to win, at least not seriously. If he did, he'd hire a real GM. But he doesn't so he'd rather sink the ship as long as he's in control.

Players love playing for Jerry because there's zero accountability and the fact the Cowboys are a massive brand and that can parlay into endorsement deals.

How is that wild? Did Dallas folk learn nothing from the Mavs/Nico saga?  Criticize the GM, get kicked out.

Finally got around to watching first couple of episodes of the Netflix series.  The irony of the first 20 or so minutes of episode 1 where the Cowboys and Tom Landry were (accurately) portrayed as being washed on the field and the massive changes that Jerry himself sometimes narrates on that were needed to undo that was hilarious.

Hey you dipshit!  The Cowboys were at that point again…in fucking 2010.

Looks like the guy was being a complete asshole and deserved to get chucked.  I guarantee not a single person that showed there wanted to hear this guy whine and yell so he could get clicks on tiktok.

Somebody on Cowboys staff probably paid the Chargers not to block Mazi for one play just to see if he would do anything.

Four episodes in, and convinced this documentary will win an Emmy. Meticulously and expertly made, and fascinating.  I’m disgusted and awed by Jerry Jones at the same time.
