Yeah. No way any prominent Democrats are cheering this. Despite what @Wilcox Cummingtonite who is going to murder us all in our beds. Despite not producing one example of a Democratic official or prominent media member doing that. He probably just saw his drunk uncle's post and started planning mass murder.

Yeah, that dude has some serious anger issues. Probably because he isn’t able to tell which social media accounts exist solely to enrage frustrated, angry, tiny dicked imbeciles.

They don't even know who the killer is.

Just like OJ.

i guess we can assume it was not some radical leftist. if it was, they'd be screeching about it by now.

Whether it was or wasn't they will make sure that "it was." MAGA bends the reality they want around their skull.

Are you implying TexAgs shot Charlie Kirk?

I thought we decided the shooter was likely former military, not fake army?

If the murderer was remotely right wing it will be covered up.

If we had tougher gun laws people that want to kill someone would certainly follow those gun laws. Banning all guns means we wouldn't have a lot of guns in the US just like banning drugs has resulted in the US not being flooded with illegal drugs.

We scour people’s social media when they apply for jobs, and now, if we want to politically investigate them, yet, we shouldn’t be allowed to do the same for gun restrictions? Weird.

If the Trump assassins are anything to go by, it is probably some nutjob conspiracy theorist from their side who lost his marbles and started seeing his former heroes as actually in on it or something.

I’m not seeing this at all. Now what I am seeing is people being critical of Charlie’s words and pointing out the irony and hypocrisy. But celebrating! Yeah I’m not seeing that, at all.

If by celebrating, he means praying, then yes, I’m celebrating.

The evil is all the more egregious when you consider that Charlie Kirk has devoted his public life to building a platform rooted in good faith efforts at civil political discourse. More than almost anyone else in America, whether on the right or the left, he has sought to model reasoned debate in the public square.

His entire project has been centered on bridging the divide, engaging with those who disagree, and relying on the power of speech rather than the threat of violence to confront the issues that tear at our nation. To attack a man who has consistently chosen dialogue over destruction and persuasion over coercion is not simply a wrong against him personally. It is a rejection of the very principles that make a free society possible.

Crazy. Sad.

This is pure fuckin hilarity. Hopefully intentionally, for your sake.

This poster doesn't seem to understand that the pendulum always swings back. Right now the conservatives have clawed back power, but history tells you that progress always finds a way. Always. No matter how hard his people try to put progress down it always gets its shoulder off the mat just before the three count.

It’s a nice sentiment, but ask people in Russia, China, Brazil, Iran, Lebanon, North Korea and a fuck ton of other countries if the pendulum always swings back towards progress.

The better comparison would be to all of the western European democracies that were at one time ruled by authoritarians.

In a semi-sane, slightly less dumb version of this timeline, the people of Charlie Kirk's ilk who, each day, grab the tine shafts of their microphones and spew vile, divisive crap out into the ether, might take a moment of self-reflection and consider that, while they certainly have the constitutional right to say, with a few noted exceptions, anything they want, perhaps it would be better to be a bit more careful with their words, which, if said in public not so long ago (instead of on a podcast), might have resulted in a swift ass-kicking.  Because that vile, divisive crap help escalate the problem that ultimately resulted in his untimely demise, which is something most of us think is worth preventing and have been saying so for a long time.  But in our actual timeline, said ilk will double down on the same brand of disgusting, divisive crap in faux tribute to poor Charlie and his young family, all the while happily gobbling up his subscribers and advertisers.  It's going to be a vicious cycle of play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

TLDR - FAFO

May he receive the same level of compassion he extended towards other victims of gun violence.

I’m hoping he gets RFK Jr. or one of the other quackadoodles in charge of public health and welfare as his doctor or surgeon. I hope every single one of them directly experiences their health service before a mass epidemic occurs. Maybe then we’ll care enough to hire professionals to lead public programs.

I mean, not to derail, but you have to set a reasonable timeline. Everyone in Europe was ruled by a monarch at some point in Western Europe.  It if they’ve been liberated for 200 years, that seems like progress found a way. Russia? China? Never been free. That doesn’t sound like progress always finds a way to me.

and much of the middle east has gone backwards. America is going backwards.

Sounds like Utah cops arrested a second guy but then found out the gun he had was a pellet gun and were forced to release him.

Which is why I thought it was a more apt comparison to the United States.

I feel like you’re missing my point, which is that while they can all be examples of progress, the countries that prove progress doesn’t find a way are ones like China and Russia where there has never been any progress.

This doesn't go for everyone obviously, but it sure seems like democrats are urging calm and unity, and republicans are urging a civil war. Maybe it's just my imagination.

When has the cult let facts get in the way. It should also serve as a reminder how upset they are about the killing of a single shitty person, vs. their response over children murdered in Ulvalde and Kerrville from their policies.

Someone earlier said he last word was "violence."  You can see what a uniting figure he was.  Live by the sword, die by the sword.

Supposedly they're run off the good agents or have them doing immigration roundups.

One of the questions in that Utah briefing was whether they had questioned the person who asked CK the question about gun violence seconds before he was shot. They said no they haven't. Almost in a "Hey, that might be a good idea" way.
