Well, first I was unconcerned after losing to OSU, then I was lambasted for surrendering after a pretty terrible Week 2 performance. What I witnessed in the swamp today personally was about as bad as I’ve seen Texas physically whipped since that terrible September 11 performance against Arkansas’s in Year 1 of Sark.
it’s Texas OU week and we are a cornered animal that’s wounded and desperate.  All our goals are still in front of us if we don’t lose another game. This team, as it’s currently configured, could lose somewhere approaching…. Checks schedule… 7 more games.
I think the worst part of it was that Arch wasn’t terrible like against OSU and UTEP, there were some calls that were really good (seriously Wingo- you couldn’t do any better than that with a wide open guy 20 yards from you?) but we just got basically physically whipped by a team that’s probably going to lose 7 games and refused to take advantage of the myriad of ways they tried to give the game away to us because their coach is a low grade moron.
OU probably sort of sucks especially without their big time transfer QB. If we want to keep this season from being a gigantic smoking crater we are going to have to play eleventy billion percent better than we did today.
let’s do it.

ou even with Hawkins I’d gonna butt fuck this team without any lube.

that defense is way better than Florida and they are gonna tea bag everyone. Arch prob won’t even play he’s already listed as questionable because he was sacked 12 times today not that it matters we have the offensive fire power of Austin highschools jv team and our defense showed us today how overrated they really are

ou 31 Tex 10

I assumed Kyle Flood knew better than me when he and Sark would repeatedly hype up the BIG HUMAN thing while signing giant cubes with ankles the size of a cinder block but it appears he absolutely did not. The guy should be gone. I think the writing is on the wall with Sark too. His teams have been as undisciplined as any in the country for his entire tenure, but he had the talent to overcome it the past two years. I don’t think he should be fired, but I expect he will be within 2-3 years.

I wonder how much of this is on Becton. We recruit large humans who stay large, but are not seemingly strong at all. At least not in the way that would make them functional OLs.

Occasional forest fires make for a healthy forest.  The rest of this year should serve as a chance to burn the dead wood out of this program.  The match was lit today and next week the fire starts raging.

This is the Super Bowl for the year in my mind. We're obviously not contending for a SEC title or a CFP spot so this is the one chance to win anything of note. I really want this one.

Oklahoma is the better team but if Texas is the wounded animal Florida was today it's winnable. OU usually brings the bigger chip on the shoulder and more intensity to the game though so I'm not holding my breath.

Nobody associated with this fat and happy program looks like they can muster up a chip on their shoulder, with a couple exceptions.

They are going to bring a ton of pressure. Sark might want to think about maybe installing a screen pass into our game plan. God forbid we do anything to get a defense thinking or even just playing on their heels.

Not at all, actually

What else is there, then? We need to win our next 7 games to make the playoffs and have a chance at playing in the CCG. That's not happening, but maybe we can steal a win against either OU or aggy. I do think we'll beat Arky as well, but that wouldn't be an upset.

You answered your own question, however unlikely.

A Florida team with 3 sacks in four games sacked Arch 6 times and had him running for his life on the plays they didn’t get him. OU D is better than Florida. Buckle up.

Yeah I’m honestly not sure how we score a touchdown in this one. A coverage bust is about it.   They seem pretty inept on offense too if they don’t have their hero ball guy.  Looking like a 13-10 type of game.

UCLA won yesterday, so miracles can happen.  My faith has been seriously tested with this squad.  The heart is all in, however my brain is telling me "cut bait and split".  IMO, this group has become like the crazy ex you just can't make leave.  Your somehow stuck with her, but the real problem is you're not fucking either.  Now what?  I'm sure my dad will give an earful this morning when I call, provided he didn't spazz out yesterday and made it through the night.  If mom were here, she'd say "if you can't something nice......".  You know how it ends, both with her advice and the blou score.  The losing will be bad enough the gloating will be the salt in the wound.

Ou is gonna blitz the fuck out of this line 50% of the game. And our dumb ass coach is gonna draw up some play action rollout reverse pass that will lose us 15 yards then posters here won’t blame sark shitty play calling they will say it’s the o-line that’s the only problem.

well, this is my favorite game every year.   the only one i make sure to attend.  not attending the cotton bowl this year.

sark will ruin the game. he's a combination of mackovic (supposed offensive genius) and that grilllzzzz knucklehead who shoots the finger at office web cams--that idiot herman.

sark is arrogant.  sark's head is so far up his ass, he will never listen or improve.  so fuck him.

life odometer is high.  not at the fair for the game.  will have a good time with friends, family and colleagues.

our group will have the usual great time, especially giving ousux shit all day.

FUCK SARK

OU SUX!

This.

Heading into a beatdown, a 30-7 type disaster.  They made Florida’s look impressive. Florid is awful. OU isn’t awful.

ou is going to blitz the shit outta Arch. Yeah, Mateer may not be playing, but it won’t matter. If he was, it would be very bad. Since he is not:

ou 27
Texas 13

9 sacks for the ou defense. 250 total yards for Texas. Maybe.

Perspectives.   I’m not sure OU is THAT much better on D compared to Florida.   OU has played dogshit to date which includes a Michigan team that is average (maybe a carbon copy of us) to a TD margin of victory and an Auburn team which is likely to finish below us with an offense that makes ours look awesome.
