They suck. We should win convincingly

Texas is 4-2. We need to go 10-2 to make the playoffs. We aren’t losing to these retards.
drink some bourbon. Beautiful trip if you want to go. They suck. We will be 5-2 after this week. It’s a 2 game season- at Georgia and aggy at home. We are better than both (I think). We just have to keep getting better against these losers.

They need to. Got a tougher stretch coming and being 5-2 with some confidence would be good.

Just a guess, but I'm assuming Texas will open up as a 17 point favorite here

It’s at their place. 13.5 is my guess.

I mean, yeah. For sure.

Oh - we're doing guess the lines.

It will be around 2 TDs. I'd guess Texas -15.5.

That’s what happens when you have 3 teams worth a damn in a conference of 18.

Compare to

4 Ole Miss at 10 Georgia

12 Tennessee at 8 Alabama

(Three of those probably at least one spot higher after ou freefall)

USC Notre Dame is always interesting because it's weird.

No SEC road game is easy I don't care who it is. Kentucky wants to beat Texas more than they want to have sex with their cousins. This game could be like the Vandy game last year.

Except Vandy last year was actually good. The correct comp is the obvious one: the Kentucky game last year.

Me and my crew will be in burnt orange in my in-law's season ticket seats. Looks like it's going to be an excellent fall day. Enjoy.

Disagree. Three loss Texas with Arch gets in. Especially with the loss to Ohio State and the fact that everyone at the top is losing this year.

This would normally be a tough spot..

- Let down spot coming off RRSO

- Multiple tough games in a row coming off of at Florida and then RRSO

- Kentucky coming off a bye

- Night road game

But Kentucky sucks this year, which is why we're favored by 13.5 right now despite all of the above

If I remember right, Kentucky had 3 weeks to prep for us last year (bye week + November FCS opponent), while we had Arkansas the week before and A&M the week after. We handled business pretty easily.

Hopefully we get a repeat.

FPI has Kentucky as the worst SEC team (below MSU) at #50 nationally. ESPN's efficiency metric has them with the least efficient offense in the SEC, and 89th nationally in that regard

It feels like UT didn’t perform well w/ the ultimate expectations early in the season, then performed better yesterday in The Cotton Bowl w/ no expectations.  This will be my concern vs the Kentucky’s, Mississippi State’s, even Arkansas’s remaining on the schedule.  OP says winning out and 10-2 is the formula to make the playoffs and he might be right.  I will point out that last year a 3-loss Alabama w/ both strong wins and questionable losses was the first team out of last year’s playoff field.  So even w/ a loss at Georgia, this team’s playoff route could be win at Vandy and get a headlining win vs A&M at home last game of the reg.  Now a route of going 10-2, then playing for and losing the SEC championship?……now that 3-loss route feels a little more questionable to me in mid-October

Wasn't the same sentiment against a 1-3 Florida team?

we are going to need style points(OU v Tech style).  blowing out kentucky and MSU on the road would be very helpful.  Don't get me wrong, I realize a win is good but if playoffs are the goal and we assume a loss at Georgia we need to look as dominant as possible.

I hope Sark calls games accordingly if we are up in the second half

this is another "save my corch!", season making type game on the road.  Kentucky isn't nearly as talented as Florida but Sark/PK/Flood better be chewing ass again this week. OU game is over.

The only good thing about the Florida debacle and Arch's early struggles is I don't expect our team to be overly confident again this season.

Lots of work to still be done and they get an opportunity to improve every week.

Don’t even think about the playoffs right now, but that Florida loss is not going to age well as the season goes on.

No it won't, but 9-3 Bama got buttfucked 24-3 in Norman last November and still almost made it in.

False. No way a 10-3 texas gets left out. Especially when one loss is at Ohio state and the other would have to be in the SEC title game

I’d be happy scoring over 30 points and winning convincingly in all phases. Complimentary football. And less penalties. I’m just looking for visible improvement across the team and with coaching in each game along with a win. Seems easy.

we win 33-10. Yay us. Who’s next?
