I understand the cynicism that this will could hurt Trump, but this particular “scandal” is different. It was not born out of policy minutiae or liberal anger, this is a homegrown long-standing MAGA issue and Trump is telling them all to fuck off.

Maybe nothing comes of it, but i don’t think this is business as usual.

Counterpoint: Jan 6th and boxes of highly classified documents stuffed in a resort bathroom weren't policy minutiae either.

These people had better be careful. Falling out of a window could become a thing in Trump’s second term.

Wow. Never seen that before. I swear, Trump could leave the White House tomorrow wearing a t-shirt that says “I like to rape underage girls. The younger the better.” and his base would be like “He must be trying to cover for the Clintons for some reason, but why??”.

He could rape a child on Fifth Ave. and he wouldn’t lose any support.

I have done my best to keep up with this thread, so it's possible I have missed some of the discussions.  I have a couple of questions though:

1) I am assuming there are people from both sides of the aisle listed, so did Biden's admin slow roll the investigation and exposure of those on the right (including Trump) to cover for those in his camp?  Has anyone seen anything that credibly links Biden to enjoying any of Epstein's offerings, either from the trafficking or money laundering?  Or was the slow roll due to DOJ needing time to build a solid case, knowing they'd only have one chance?

2) Figure Trump is up to his neck in this from both the financial angle, as well as trafficking.  Which is more likely to trip him up?  I keep thinking about Al Capone and tax evasion charges.

3) With as many people privy to these files, regardless of NDAs and other legal constraints, I think Trump knows that if they release compromised copies of the files (ones that redact him) that will be his undoing when the coverup becomes the story, since you know someone will leak the real items.  So best to just bury it all now?  If someone were to release even excerpts of the files, the administration would have to rebutt that with actual documents?

4) I get the idea that this will be used to get Trump to gracefully step down, or be exposed as the fraud he is.  A move most likely brought on by the uber wealthy and tech bros in order to get him out and someone less problematic into office.  What is the probability that that power cluster has no more use for Trump and has been looking for a way to usher him out, a way that the MAGA will not rise up and make him a martyr over?

Clinton is in them I am positive.  The both sides of the aisle-ness of his clientele is why this thing had been such a shitshow from the beginning.

Difference here is in those cases he was able to control the narrative. Trump, the GOP, and conservative media were all on the same page and told MAGA what they wanted to hear.

Now he’s trying to tell MAGA to “shut up and move on” from one of the core conspiracies of the movement, and MAGA isn’t buying it.

This isn’t going to “end” Trump, but it has fractured his base.

Another thing - MAGA hasn’t been blaming Trump. They were blaming Bondi.

The problem is that Trump trusts Bondi and doesn’t want to get rid of her. Backing her has not worked for him and made the situation worse.

IMHO he’s going to have to fire her in order to get this to die down.

Only dies down if her replacement placates the masses.  It’s not dying down until something is released.  I’m enjoying these idiots being at each other’s throats…

If all it would take for this to die down is firing Bondi, he'd do so tomorrow and not bat an eye.

This where we’re headed?

He's never voluntarily releasing the files.  The most likely way they get out is from a leak, but Trump is never going to do it.

Yeah but the virulent racists are waking up.

i’m sorry, but you’re confusing things like criminal convictions and impeachment results with the court of public opinion.    Among the MAGA base there has never been this type of revolt since his first term.     I don’t think anyone is naïvely thinking he will be impeached, but if 5 or 10% of his idiot supporters who voted sit the next election out, that would be a wondrously positive thing that he did not wiggle out of.

Assuming, you know, we will be allowed to have elections, and Trump won’t shut down the post office so that mail and ballots can’t be counted.  Normal stuff now.

He just started laying the groundwork though. Like saying months before elections that they will be rigged (if he loses).

These pics were taken at the Elite modeling agency’s 1991 Look of the Year competition.

The Guardian article below is from 2020. It gives good insight into Trump’s relationship with John Casablanca, the head of Elite, and Trump’s involvement with Look of the Year which lead to his purchase of the Miss Universe and USA pageants.

MAGA's reaction to Trump's depravity from 2016 to right now leads me to a few conclusions.

1. Trump can sexually assault all the grown women he wants.  No problem.

2. Trump can sexually harrass, at least, all the underage girls he wants.  No problem.

3. If Trump might have been involved in any sexing of boys, big problem.

4. Any outrage on the part of MAGA now is outrage at the possible faggotiness, not at the whole forcing-a-sovereign-human-being-into-a-sex-act thing.

5. All Trump has to do is join a seminary and he'll have lifetime immunity.
