Right, but did you tell someone who was an expert in their field that s/he was a dumbass idiot retard that didn't know what the fuck they were talking about when they clearly did and you clearly didn't?

I believe on a podcast I recently heard with Robert Cialdini, he mentioned that as people see greater consequences they are more likely to double down.   It seems to explain quite a bit of behavior.

I don't know, we'll have to consult with The Queen, the Vatican, the Gettys, the Rothschilds and Col. Sanders to get the latest details on the conspiracy against Joe Rogan and everything else you hold dear.

So if the N word thing doesn’t stick, how long until the supercut of him making jokes about women? This is all planned.

What do you mean if it doesn't stick?  He said it and has admitted to it.  I didn't really listen to his show much aside from specific guests--like Sturgill Simpson.  But I'm just not into his podcast which is fine.  But the other isn't a fabricated gotcha moment--he is an asshole who only apologized because people dug into his catalog and released his acting like a racist asshole.  Otherwise, he would have just sat on it.

And the huge different between he and the regular person is that he has a large audience and following.  Do you have a following?  If you did, why would you waste your time on a message board when you're not benefitting from advertising?

I'm fine with vetting candidates, every candidate and not just smear jobs.  But her emails--really should make that my signature line.

"all you have is a puny little 'gotcha'" --> "you misspelled a word"!

very cute!

if you don't like him or his guests, change the channel.  move on.

the saddest thing is you don't have the reflection and honesty to accept that the political rot causes you to harbor reflexive, seething hatred for anything and anyone not aligned with you.

Did you vote for Hillary?

Even if you totally cast aside what @Mdhorn just said, who are the planners and what is the plan?

I’m not sure who the planners are, who tweeted the video first? Some entity went through all the footage and created the supercut. Add to that the timing of it coming out several days after the push against Rogan Covid misinformation is suspicious. The goal is to slowly build outrage. He’s obviously been targeted for “canceling”. That he hasn’t yet Is what I mean by it hasn’t stuck. More well produced attack videos would not be surprising. At this point I hope he gets dropped from Spotify. It would be interesting to see what happens.

I’m not aware of him having any major stance on crypto.

I've worn out the film projector gif. This time let's go with, "every accusation is a confession." Yep, that fits.

The irony deafness of the right becomes rapidly more acute.

Is American Spectator still publishing? I figured you would know. TIA

he started getting heat for some of his stances and some of his guests.  then some people (who likely knew some of the shit they would find) began to do a deeper dive into shit he has said in the past.  the timing is not suspicious, the timing is logical.  if it "leaked" right before some spotify shareholder meeting or right before one of his bosses was announcing a run for office, that would be suspicious.  this is not that.

i think the original question which has not been answered is, "by who".

and is this cancel culture or consequence culture?  because they are two different things.

So you don't know who the planners are, nor who tweeted the video first...

and this...all as if it was "obviously" a matter of fact.

So you don't know who the planners are, you don't know who's behind releasing all these videos, but you know that there's a plan involved and it has to do with "cancelling" him...as if it's all an obvious matter of fact.

You don't know who released it, yet you know why they did it...

Ok.

The doctors who are overwhelmed, overworked, and unable to keep up with covid management and deaths started this by begging and pleading that he stop promoting covid and vaccine lies, and he was specifically targeted because of his massive fanbase and influence. They are overwhelmed to the brim each time a new wave hits. In any other modern generation they would be given the utmost respect and empathy, things the right today considers weaknesses.

Ok.

Obviously some nefarious cabal is to blame.  I'll bet George Soros is funding them.

It’s all planned? They forced him to say those things only to wait years for Spotify to sign him, pay him $100m, Covid to show up, and then him to spout anti vax stuff. Only then could they unleash their dastardly plan of a compilation video of things he said.

wtf this thread has added like 20+ pages in the last week! i keep thinking Joe has finally done something interesting...but no, just the same discussion of what a meathead douche-bro he is 😆

So much this.

Joe Rogan is winning, except he’s kinda in the Twittersphere dog house right now, and he’s not going anywhere because he is way too important to Spotify’s business model. Anyone getting worked up, one way or another, is just a dog looking to chase a car for a while.

Quote

“The Joe Rogan Experience” is the No. 1 show in 93 markets, Mr. Ek said during the interview Wednesday. In 2021, Mr. Rogan’s show was the most-listened-to podcast every month in more than 30 markets, including in the U.S., said a person familiar with the matter. Mr. Rogan’s listeners have grown by 75% from the time he joined Spotify’s platform in September 2020 to December 2021, this person said.

Importantly for Spotify’s business, Mr. Rogan’s listeners are highly engaged—they return to Spotify to listen more, and tend to listen to other content beyond his show, the company has said. In short, Mr. Rogan’s show has been crucial to making Spotify the top U.S. podcast platform by listeners, according to audio data provider Edison Research.

McDonald's sells the most hamburgers.   It doesn't make it less crappy of a product.

McDonalds is a real estate company and franchise cartel who also sells crappy hamburgers.

Spotify is (trying to be, at least) an advertising company who also streams artists music for fractions of a penny. JRE is way too important to the strategy than any single artist or Twitter dogpile short of a body being found.

i liked bernie in that race, which apparently makes me a rightist.

FWIW, that's a strange and common characteristic of many of the current trumpists and qanon loonies. Seriously it's not the prevailing demo, but it's there and quantifiable.

And I say that as a guy who was a full-tilt Bernie supporter that voted for Gary Johnson in 2016 - I was so pissed off and scorned by the democratic party's treatment of Bernie (and frankly, their ongoing dismissal of actually progressive policy and politicians) that I was primed to internalize any absurd conspiracy against them.

You really do yourself a disservice by consistently jumping to to the most absurd obfuscation of your opposition's argument. It makes you seem like bitchassedness is your only argument.

not sure how this works.

when i point out that rogan went from bernie -> trump in 2020, i don't consider him a progressive or a rightist.  i consider him a full-of-shit panderer.

The only ones ive heard explicit support for is Tulsi Gabbard. He’s never gone to Trump.

People may want to assume he’s for Trump, because whatever tenuous connections they want to draw, because he’s not a team player. Which is why this topic is here now.

Thats fine. He’s gonna say what he’s gonna say, and some people will assume what they assume, and others will gnash their teeth and angrily demand he go off the air. Whats new.

Biden said Trump was responsible for 200k death under his watch.

So now we got 700k remaining to apportion between the 2 Joes, right?  Thats how the math works?

Maybe Bernie should’ve joined the party. Bernie didn’t get screwed, he wasn’t cheated, the super delegates didn’t cost him the nomination, he had no one to blame but himself and should’ve endorsed Hillary strenuously as soon as he lost. He should’ve dropped out earlier and done so because it was clear he was never going to win. Oh boo hoo hoo, the party treated him unfairly. That’s b.s. Suck it up, Bernie. What’s weird is that the Russians, Trumpkins, and Bernie bros alike were happy to peddle that message and it helped give us Trump. If any of that isn’t true then why did Bernie get beat again in 2020 just like he did in 2016 and for exactly the same reasons? Bernie would’ve lost to Trump. Handily.

When I hear Bernie supporters complain about how unfairly he was treated by the Democratic Party it reminds me of Trump supporters who say they aren’t really Trump supporters but they think there are legitimate questions about election security in 2020. In neither case is there any evidence to support their suspicions. Boy, did Trump want to run against the avowed democratic socialist Sanders. Their campaign ads were already written. Bernie should’ve been a good soldier and backed Hillary. But if he did that then he probably couldn’t run again in 2020 so he was willing to risk subjecting us to four years of rule by an incompetent authoritarian. He has blood on his hands (hidden by those nice homemade mittens).
