Fox News was talking about the Supreme Court fight over the late arriving mail in ballots. Their correspondent in Philly mentioned 4,000. Assume that was just philly county were talking about a total of 33k ballots statewide.

So their big fight at the Supreme Court is over not allowing 33k ballots that will break at 75% for biden. They’ll have no effect on the election.

My maternal grandparents had two portraits in their den: the Pope and JFK. I can’t help but imagine that they’re in heaven pooping some champagne (although they were really whisky drinkers) at the second Catholic president being elected.

Exactly. It’s a stupid talking point at this junction

Bob Casey is a great follow on Twitter for PA info. He called it for Biden early on Wednesday.

Not bragging or anything but I called it on my fb feed Wednesday. Said he’d win walking away. Predicted by 100k. Haven’t really worried since then just wanted finality sooner than we’ve gotten it. It’s done. And enough states to cushion that there’s no chance of stupidity.

This is the GOP I remember. Not this ... collection of dumbfounded dipshits and their fictional conspiracy theories we now have.

GOP has descended into nothing but grievance.  and it wasn't much before that - nearly all their public policy positions were just lies to get you to vote for the pocketbooks of billionaires.

We are Longhorns. We are used to much worse.

I'm getting some distinct feelings about a lot of Trump supporters:

  1. They are not sports fans at all (guess they canceled the NFL or NBA or something), because they act like they've never had a setback or loss
  2. That many haven't voted before, because they are all surprised that votes weren't tallied up Tuesday night.
  3. That they had no clue that Wisconsin/Michigan/PA are not long-time Republican strongholds.

A few hours ago, an update of Georgia's 2020 Presidential election results was released. It showed Joe Biden winning Georgia by only 1,579 votes. I wondered if Donald Trump would be in the lead if he had a stronger response to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I did the rough math complete with sources.

8,359 Deaths[1] x 151% Excess Deaths[2] x 96% Survival[3] = 12,117 Lives Saved

12,117 Saved x 77% Participation[4] x 95.4% Eligible[5] = 8,901 Voters

8,901 Voters x 60% Republicans[6] = 5,341 Votes for Trump

8,901 Voters x 40% Democrats[6] = 3,560 Votes for Biden

5,341 Trump - 3,560 Biden = 1,781 Trump Net Gain

1,781 Trump Net Gain - 1,579 Biden Lead[7] = Trump wins GA by 202 Votes

It would have been incredibly ironic if this tally would have remained and Trump lost Georgia because of his weak response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edit: Thanks to the responders below for correcting an inaccuracy in my math.

tl;dr: trump literally killed his own chances in Georgia

why is it that people live in cities?

Four cities?  He got his ass kicked in the popular vote and probably lost every single city over a million in the entire country.  He lost my city by a bigger margin than he lost the magic 4.  What red wave?

The best part is nobody did squat in his defense.  When it was all said and done, he alone lost.  He had all these delusions of armies and SCOTUS nominees coming to his defense and crickets.  Now he gets to battle NY state alone too.

The last month or so there was this lawyer egghead that kept showing up on the TV's saying if this went to the courts, dotard would get his ass kicked sideways.  He said some legal mumbo jumbo shit that I don't remember but the crux of his argument was dotard surrounds himself with morons.  Looks like that's playing out right on plan.

Sadly, his grandson is humoring those dumbfounded dipshits.

His som isn’t exactly doing all that great either.  It would be pretty powerful if GWB called on Trump to concede.

edited to add:  I realize that he shouldn’t do that until the election is called.
