so i was left to ponder why the president is losing his shit over the boston globe. oh, here's why:

https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/editorials/2018/08/15/editorial/Kt0NFFonrxqBI6NqqennvL/story.html

it's a very good piece.

its amazing it has to be even said/written, but here we are

the media for the most part is shitty. we Americans are also shitty for consuming the shitty media and forgetting what news is. that makes it very hard to have this conversation for some simpletons who want to close certain press outlets. there is no victory for good, free press it seems.

its pretty much a downward spiral here. it will come to a head here soon enough and i am surely not looking forward to it.

hope you don't have to put the goggles on today my friends. they do nothing.

up and atom bitches

What.  The.  Fuck.

This cannot be real.  This has to be fake.  Translation:

Ex-CIA directors John Brennan and Michael Hayden,
ex-FBI director James Komi and his deputy Andrew McCabe,
ex-director of the National Intelligence Service James
Clapper, ex-national security adviser Susan Rice say
goodbye to access to classified materials.

And a part of the female anatomy.  Or wait, the pee tube in men.  One of the two.  Helluva set of pipes.  With the organ alongside.  Wait, whut?

It may have been a reaction to something Trump was threatening. Somebody mentioned earlier that Ryan had said Trump was “trolling “ with his threats two days before it happened, so I’m guessing the possibility was in the news prior to the Russian tweet.

Whew.  I hope she's right.  At this point I can't trust anything I see (which is half the battle against media & information).

I mean, I loathe Trump, but I sure don't want to find out he's actually acting on orders from the Kremlin.

I'm sure the translation is correct (enough).  What I am not sure of is

a) whether it was a real tweet (in Russian)

b) if it came out July 24th (as alleged)

IF all that is true, it screams "Russia is driving our policy".

It's a real tweet. The translation is accurate (twitter has a built in translate function). The content is repeating what was being reported the prior day in places like the NYT: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/23/us/politics/trump-security-clearances.html

Compare and contrast

Obama didn't tell us she is dead, so not sure what exactly he was referring to when he said rest in peace. Trump was very clear about that fact. Greatest communicator and president in history.

Who is more incompetent: Trump’s administration or the City of Austin?

That's like comparing the level of stink between Mad Dog's morning dump to Mangino's post buffet dump.

P.S. Trump is Mangino's post Panchos buffet dump.

Oh gee, remember when Dum Dum Slorch said a military parade was a way better use of money than the OVERLY EXPENSIVE South Korean military demonstrations?

$14 million for that or $92 million for a parade?

Eric's wife offering Omarosa a $180k/year hush money job on the 2020 campaign.

$180k a year to serve on the Committee for the Re-Election of the President?  Sounds cushy.

Normal

At this point, I don't think anyone in the WH edits or suggests edits to Trump now.  While a factual statement, I think any PR person would tell him that instead of describing Franklin as an employee of his, just refer to her as someone he has worked with in the past.   Instead Trump unconsciously wants everyone to know that a famous person worked FOR him and WITH him.   changing one word can offer more class and r-e-s-p-e-c-t.
