unless you had completely changed up everything you could in the way of signals. Which is a lot harder than you think when you have young players and guys in some instances takes a while to learn the ones they already have. It's more complicated than the average fan thinks.

IOW, they are far too stupid to be able to change signals year to year.

"Once we secure Landon Jackson."  They never learn.

My favorite quote from a few years ago was one guy asking if they should "take" Ehlinger, a) as if they could possibly do that, and b) as if he had more than 0% interest in aggy. This was late in the cycle.

Stealing signals is a part of college football. Literally dozens of articles have been written about it in the past two years, including very recent developments where teams pull out curtains for players and coaches to hide behind to prevent signal stealing. Backup QBs have been on headsets since the invention of headsets. But despite all of these things, mean ole' Arkansas is cheating by stealing signals, nevermind the fact that Fisher and aTm did NONE of the things that coaches do to prevent stealing, such as changing signals, changing/utilizing sideline picture boards, or even hiding in fucking tent forts.
Sounds like aTm is fucking stupid and loves playing the victim while not doing the bare minimum of work to prevent other teams from walking in and running train on their wife...wait, nevermind.

Loochy dont know the rules.. no wai/ k wigg

Sh*t's just too predictable at this point.

Visit us > lean us > almost commit to us multiple times > visit LSU > commitment to LSU imminent

Too-3 class. Three five stars or borderline fives committed in 2020. Likely too-10 finish for the second straight cycle. Two flips from Bama to end 2018 after two months on the job. Yep, it's like clockwork.

What's changed between this class and the previous two? We were able sign elite defensive talent along the DL line and secondary in both of those classes and now this year we're having difficulty landing the "immediate impact" guys that we were getting in the previous two classes.

Jones and Johnson are absolutely elite. So is Manning if they land him.

Donnell's a priority recruitment

We'll either be playing with him or trying to scheme against him but whichever team has him will have a better pass rush for it

Agree with this. He's a big deal because he's exactly what this team is missing and there aren't many out there like him. Need to ink Diggs and welcome Mowry into campus without question.

As for the entire DL haul, one with Diggs, Mowry, Walker and Raikes would be a solid group but you'd really need to be ready to load up on the edge in '21. Harris would push that group over the top and adding either Omari Thomas or McKinley Jackson would take things from solid to pretty damn good.

I believe that poster also called him "Shane Ehlinger."

So is that their deal?  Just cherry pick the service that rates them the highest in a given year and roll with that as a consensus ranking?

Correct. The only service that rated them the highest, because using the composite doesn't fit their narrative.

The year before it was espn sucks because we had some higher recruits. They're morons, so it's expected.

Ah yes, the timeless “aTm was first to offer” metric. A bedrock piece of evidence almost always indicating an aggy commitment since time immemorial.  Nevermind the fact that there’s a reason we don’t see schools like Toledo and UH who offer kids in the 9th grade end up with stud players.

Indeed, some things never change. Pretty sure they were first to offer a ton of our high end commits in 2020 before Herman adjusted his offer cycle in 2021. Seems to be working out for them.

With A&M possibly running third for legacy Hayes, it'll be interesting if an SEC school snipes Chris Morris from them; I've always assumed a deep south school would pay up for the Memphis kid.

If no one does, I'll just assume he's not that big of a commodity.

Wouldn't the fact that his product is not apparently sufficiently specialized to demand a market premium indicate he is, in fact, more of a commodity?

Weren't a lot of the kids on Last chance U part of Jimbo's FSU classes?

well yes...specifically the QB

QB Malik Henry

While the statement was released after the season, all indications are the transfer was in the works for several weeks before the season ended. There is no indication that Henry was kicked off the team, and Henry made the decision after losing a quarterback competition to Deondre Francois.

Both players entered Florida State as two of the top quarterbacks in the country, but the competition never really got off the ground after Henry was suspended from the team during camp for a violation of team rules. After the transfer announcement, former Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher (now at Texas A&M) admitted the team was already preparing to move on from Henry.

“We’ve expected this for a while in our recruiting and we’ve planned for it,” Fisher told Rivals. “We wanted to keep Malik here. He’s an outstanding young man and I wish him nothing but the best. He’s a great young man. But we’ve had our plan and had it scheduled for a while.”

QB DeAndre Johnson

The quarterback was dismissed from Florida State in July 2015 after punching a woman in a bar. He played at two small colleges after being kicked off the team at FSU.

These fuckers have no ability to look at history.

Arkansas in the decade before their 100 year decision was 79-38-2 averaging 24.2 to 16.8 PPG.

aggy in the decade before their 100 year decision was 64-60 averaging 29.9 to 28.4 PPG.

Arkansas has played for 3 SEC football championships in 27 years, and by playing I mean getting destroyed by an average score of 34.0 to 11.3

And this is the dude (Harris) that "has always wanted to play for Jimbo".

I don't buy that. Even if Florida, Miami and FSU all had losing records, Aggy would still have trouble pulling a Miami kid vs those 3, especially a kid from Gulliver or Northwestern. Jimbo doesn't have James Coley anymore to build up that Miami recruiting pipeline like he did at FSU.

Aggy is not a draw for Florida kids and never will be.

What aggy mods never accounted for was that Harris had sophomore tape, and when he reclassified the regional powers wanted to see "senior" tape before going all in on the guy. If the tape was less than dominating, aggy wins. If the tape is good, no shot in hell. Turns out, the tape is pretty damn good. Enter sandman.

They're missing that fact that even LSU never beats Bama. This is what you fucking idiots signed up for.

They also don't seem to account for LSU being THE school in a talent-rich state such as Louisiana. They're the team to beat on just about EVERY top-level in-state player. aggy isn't that school in Texas -- and never will be.
