We also don’t play down a division and we play in a conference where everyone hates us and circles the game as a make or break for their season.

They play in a league where only LSU hates them. The rest think of then as annoying but nobody actually thinks of their match up as important to their season.

Does LSU actually hate them? Annoyed maybe, but hate?  To this outsider, it seems like LSU probably has the same attitude toward aggy as UT has toward TTU. Sure they’re a conference matchup, but they’re just kind of annoying if you happen to lose to them. Not a real downer.

They desperately want to replace us with LSU, that's a known fact. Problem for aggy is swamp tigah has never seen aggy as a rival, and they have plenty of better options.

Sad truth is aggy is their own biggest rival and I don't see them ever winning that one until someone hits the reset button and they flush all their turditions for some sense of normalcy.

They played LSU every year for awhile. I think they hoped it would be like Texas-OU, but LSU was down most of those years and A&M...well A&M. I think the rivalry ended in the 80s. Whatever spark there was to it is long gone except for the Aggies wanting to hold onto it as they had a good record against the "swamp kitties" back then.

The Baylor-Aggie game was a pretty big deal for those schools even if nobody else much cared. That game had bad blood going back to the riot Aggies started because they couldn't take a joke. Of course, the Aggies tell it that they were saving virgins from rapers. Somebody died in that one.

It also spawned the lie/myth that the Aggie Corps was loading artillery onto a train to shell the city of Waco. The attack was thwarted, according to their usual lies, by the intervention of the Texas Rangers.

Everybody longed to beat us. Everybody always despised the Aggies.

If it hadn't been the Rangers, it would have been an SMU cheerleader.

I kind of thought LSU hated them but y'all are probably right.

I’d imagine lsu does hate them but mainly because they’ve been forced to go to college fucking station every other year.

I remember them going after the MOB against Rice after they inflated a giant Dildo in the stands and stroked it in time with the Aggie band directors baton while the band played the war hymn.  This was the same game where I believe they goose stepped out unto the field and  played march of the wooden soldiers, they also dressed up like yell leaders and followed a dog around with pooper scoopers.  The mob had to be taken out of their own stadium in food service trucks. I remember that near riot and I don't think the MOB was allowed to travel to Kyle after that.

1926 was apparently when the baylor event occurred.   One Aggie cadet was apparently killed in the brawl.

Well, it’s tradition then, so another brave aggy must give his life on the 100 year anniversay in 2026.

LSU doesn't 'hate' them so much as find them loud, weird, and annoying like the rest of the SEC does.

LHB also played “Thanks for the Memories”.
Then the aggy corpsturd band did the “saw ‘em off” formation.
Aggy band did the same at the funeral bowl after the LHB played a beautiful “Amazing Grace” tribute to the bonfire victims.

Those “classy” sonsofbitches make a habit of embarrassing themselves and their school on the national stage.

Ya'll telling me the aggy corpsturd band can get into a formation other than that rectangle formation they walk up and down the field in.

He most likely had the wrong end of the cannon aimed toward the Baylor students as he fired it.

The quickest way to make a corndog lose his shit is to tell him aggy is a better school. Yes they hate each other.

I think even Wofford would lose their shit if you told them aggy was a better school.

Speaking of Rice MOB and A&M taking jokes well, this site has scripts of the MOB halftime shows.

1973 was "The Halftime of Infamy" @TexasRenegade referred to.

http://mob.rice.edu/archives/scripts/#A&M1973

Texas A&M University vs. Rice
Rice Stadium — Houston, TX
November 17, 1973
Result: W 24—20

[Later named “The Halftime of Infamy”]
Action:  Band lines up on north end of field. Called to attention.

Announcer:  Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the 1973 Marching Owl Band, or MOB — the only thing funnier than a good Aggie joke. The MOB is directed by Mr. Bert Roth, with twirlers Janet Breston, Suzan McCorkle, Liz Moy, and Karen Blackwell. And, in his last appearance with the MOB today, the person responsible for pulling together the halftime shows this year, Drum Major Bob Hord.

Music:  Fanfare

Announcer:  Today the MOB salutes Texas A&M and the Aggie band. So to begin, the band will warm up with a little old-fashioned military marching. [in German accent] You will enjoy!

Action:  Band goosesteps out to old Germanesque march.

Announcer:  Before we go any further into our halftime festivities, the MOB takes time to pay tribute to Mr. Marvin Zindler. [pause] Yes, you heard correctly — the MOB has formed a large chicken thigh, and Marvin Zindler (the most hated man in Lagrange) will twirl to that famous greeting “Hello, Dolly.”

Formation:  Chicken leg

Music:  Hello, Dolly

Announcer:  The MOB has formed a famous Senior Boot, the greatest thing to happen to Aggieland since the manure spreader. [pause] Aggie freshmen will agree that at the base of every Senior Boot is a big heel.

Formation:  Boot

Music:  Get It On

Announcer:  The MOB now salutes Reveille, the mascot of the Aggies. This is a little dog with a big responsibility. But even Reveille likes to make that pause that refreshes. [pause] So the MOB has formed a fire hydrant and plays “Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?”

Formation:  Fire hydrant

image.thumb.png.47177d91ed13743f5a79369953c9bd05.png

Music:  Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?

Announcer:  The MOB now salutes the Marching Band from Aggieland by forming their famous marching T. [pause] Watch now as the MOB has it their way.

Formation:    T

Music:  Bugle call into Aggie War Hymn, transitioning into Little Wooden Soldier March

Announcer:  There you have it, fans, the band that never sounds retreat. Thank you and goodbye.

Action:    Band runs off while trumpets blow “Retreat”

Pretty when you are programmed to believe that every action, especially by one group of people, is motivated by the intent to hold you back and keep you down.

"the greatest thing to happen to Aggieland since the manure spreader."

is perfect.

Some level heads in there pointing out how stupid it is to obsess over these things.

Bad Ags!

CDC as California DeLoss with no pull is uhh.. an interesting take.

Oh yeah, the SEC brought in Texas and OU so they could fuck around with the best and most marketable rivalry setting in college football. That's a thing that would make sense to do.

I mean how many SEC games are at the 2:30 time slot every given week. 1/3 of them? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan it's going to be sooooooooooooo difficult to let us have a time slot every year. Do these fucking dipshits have any fucking brains at all?

Also, I did a detailed post years back using hard numbers comparing our television viewership to A&Ms, I believe this was the year when Ehlinger told Kyler to take the loss, pussy. Anyway, we whipped their fucking ass pretty much all year except for two fucking weekends. Newsflash, Texas vs. OU, even when it's a shitty matchup, still rakes in the motherfucking eyeballs. No concept of reality, those dumb knobs. They view everything through the lens of their own grievance. We view things through the lens of good or bad business. It's no wonder they have no concept of reality...and why their brand sucks balls. Also, we played at 11 am because FOX knew it was the only timeslot they could win some of the eyeball battles for college football, so they stuck us there against our will and we had zero power. It's one of the main reasons we are in a new conference. You don't think we made that clear when we were negotiating with the SEC?

Fucking morons.

By whom, exactly? Because in my experience it's pretty much universally loved and praised.

Fucking idiots don’t even understand that a big part of the new SEC/ESPN deal is that the SEC can announce game times during the summer and since all games are on ESPN networks they will be able to shift around what game is on what channel if needed. The two week window will be a thing of the past in the SEC.

The sheepfuckers can't even just root for their own team. Hearts filled with hate and skulls filled with rocks. That's aggy.

Also while "rivalry weekend" is awfully quaint, now that there's more than a couple actual rivalries with national appeal, I'd be surprised if the network wants to relegate some of its biggest games to either low profile start times or stations on any Saturday.

I'm not trying to be your buddy, Rick.

They're more tied up in knots about Texas-OU gametime than anybody around here has ever been.

And then there was the below. Evidently, they see their jihad against Texas as something followed nationally and maybe worldwide.

image.png.c409b6a3fc298f57d47c23169a0873f1.png

Maybe that's because nobody else really gives a shit. We only do because you lie about it. We officially approached A&M about resuming the rivalry after DeLoss left. This was after John Sharp or some other Aggie shitwad said they'd play us anytime anywhere.

Many over there are sure they'll have their best team ever when we play. I'm sure all eight remaining players from the 2022 class will account very well for themselves.

I'll slightly disagree with you here. Granted, this is just anecdotal experience, which means it is worth jack shit...but over the years my personal interactions with Baylor and TCU alums and they pretty much universally blame Texas for aTm leaving. Because they're idiots and programmed to hate us. Most of the low IQ SEC fans I've encountered are the same, because they get their news and worldview from Tiger Droppings and...wait for it...the only people over there talking about the Texas and A&M rivalry and breakup are the butthurt aggies who are ugly crying onto their micro-peens. I've corrected everyone I've encountered, but people believe what they want to believe...because only one side is talking.

That being said, us sharing a conference with them again I'm pretty sure that narrative is going to shift, and probably not slowly over time, now that the rest of the SEC already has a distaste for those bozos.

They just cannot grasp that all we’ve done is state a preference and ask. As we’ve always done. Fox kept saying no so we kept playing at 11- which for them was supposed to be their big time slot.  We didn’t force anything and we sure didn’t run it.

I'm fairly ambivalent about joining the SEC in general, but it's worth it just to watch A&M freak the fuck out and feel persecuted over ever little thing that involves us. Joining the conference after their precious little imaginary gentleman's agreement was broken was apparently just the beginning.

They've now gone from complaining about the location of the first A&M/Texas game to complaining about what time the OU game is. I can't imagine how big their meltdown is going to be when they announce the permanent rivals. No matter what, I assure you that there is going to be bitching from them about who our rivals are and who there's are. Does anybody here give two shits about who they play on what channel and at what time? I mean, if they get that prestigious 2:30 slot on the SEC network against App State, you can bet your sweet ass that Paul Finebaum is gonna hear it from me!

The fact that aggy continues to call us "mediocre", after going 5-7 is just remarkable.

5-7 in the SEC is the same as 12-0 in the big 12 you stupid sip

yeah, you never know when geo-fla is gonna play each other.

1 hour ago, Focht Up said:

Liucci, in whining about unequal treatment from the media, liked to say that both teams have the same seasons over the last two years. We each went 5-7 one season and 8-4 the other season thus we're in the same place. Even so, A&M is considered to be in trouble while Texas isn't.

He writes that with no sense of humor or irony. It's the fourth-rate sophistry that makes Texags go round and round.
