I asked a question earlier similar to yours. Here's some related info I just saw ...

The worst I've encountered is an intentionally slow moving woman for no reason on a return flight from Belize. That's been the exception. Hell, I remember a football game breaking out on a Friday night SW HOU - DAL flight back in the 70's. Flying used to be cool.

I fly pretty much weekly and have never seen anything like these videos. I have a shit load of pent up frustration at dealing with just general fucktards while traveling (olds with a pound of change and pocket knives, dipshits at the ramp to check boarding pass and ONLY fucking then reaching into their cavern of a purse to look for it holding up the line etc etc etc). So if someone comes to front of plane trying to open door/fight with FA I am ready to unleash some hate to help subdue them.

I was asked by a FA once flying back from Cancun if I could open the cabin door in an emergency since I was big and strong sitting in the seat next to it. This told me my special purpose in life was to protect the aircraft and the souls onboard.  Ever since 9/11 I've been tempted to tell the FAs I have their back when I'm boarding, but haven't revealed anything yet. The way I see it if shit goes down I'll scan the cabin for someone else scanning the cabin with a special purpose. We lock eye contact, give a head nod and snap into action delivering whoopass as needed. Fuck this shit.

You're not just telling us what we want to hear? Because we just want to hear the truth.

I will gladly duct tape a fucktard to a seat to keep my flight arriving on time. Your faith in me will be rewarded.

I travel frequently. I mostly encounter yelling and cussing but no big scenes. I did see a drunk guy picking fights in Amsterdam. He was just belligerent and being a dick and then out of nowhere these 2 attractive female cops came running up and tried to calm him down. The were very patient with him and tried to talk to him. The idiot then made the mistake of pushing one of them and then they weren't so nice. 2 big guy cops joined the party and he was handcuffed and grabbed by the scruff of the neck and lead away crying.

oh got pics of cops

Shameless plug for Texas-Exes run, Vonlane Bus service for traveling about the Lone Star State.  beats flying or driving every time.  We could all travel around Texas for work/play by train but Amtrak stations are just as bad as bus stations, plus we're in Texas and we're stuck having no land and no diesel to run more trains.  Bummer

Sometimes I think he's growing it so fast so SWA will buy him out.  I used to fly to the metroplex for work, but 30 mts. to wait for uber/ride to ABIA, 60 mts. in the terminal being miserable, 60 minutes gate to gate, 30 mts to get out of terminal/wait for uber and ride to hotel.  That's 3 hours and i can't really do much else but stand or have 9 minutes of flight time where it's okay to take out laptops.  I can make the same trip in about 3:30 on IH-35 and get absolutely nothing done, not even a phone call because I'm trying just not to die or get pulled over.

And then along comes Vonlane.  The Hyatt pickup is less than 10 minutes from my home.  I can get there 5 minutes before it leaves.  I can start work the second I sit down or just watch TV.  Food is decent, cheap drinks, bathrooms are nicer than the ones in my house, and 1/3rd of the time, the 'hostess' is pretty damn cute.  Plus, it takes 60 seconds to get off a Vonlane because everybody knows what the fuck they're doing.  It's not 100 people standing up to sort their shit in the aisle and file their taxes.  I'm in an uber and on my way within 3 minutes of pulling into the Westin Dallas.

Other than some business in El Paso and Midland/Odessa, if you live in Austin...there is no reason to fly within the state for business anymore.  And the airlines know that now.  SWA interstate flights is what built them, but that portion of their business model isn't Netflix anymore, they're Blockbuster.

Vonlane is a game changer. Unless I’m taking my large, unruly dog with me it’s a no brainer between Houston and Austin. In my previous job, I used it weekly. Pro tip: if you use it frequently, get a Vonlane pass. It’s basically a discounted prepaid account. In addition to a discount, you get free booze on all of your trips.

As for air travel, I’m convinced that the airlines don’t mind that it’s a miserable experience. It helps them create a value proposition for premium products like lounges and first/business class. It definitely works on me. I pay for Clear, Global Entry, have multiple lounge memberships and fly only first or business these days to reduce my exposure to the misery. I think there’s a lot of people out there like that. Heck, WN has been talking about how they might start offering premium products because they realize they’re missing out on a big source of revenue.

Posted

Yeah, the pet thing is a non-starter.  You either gotta drive or pay for the furry one to fly.  I love my Vonlane pass. I've accrued some decent rewards on it and still redeem it for free drinks and give to whomever I'm traveling with as tempting as knocking back a drink is with my feet up on those comfy seats.  Now that my youngest is 5...I gotta check the rules again....but I think we're gonna take the girls up to Fort Worth to visit their Aunt/uncle before we head onto summer vacation.  I think they'll get a kick outta watching movies and the snacks get to see Dad on IH-35 not screaming at other drivers.

And yes, like you, there be a conspiracy afoot here by Big Airplane!  Make the experience more miserable, put drugs in people's drinks to make them flip the fuck out at altitude.  And then convince you on your next trip to upgrade to a premium cabin or lounge and avoid the craziness.  But sooner or later, we all know what's gonna happen.  One of these mid-air freak-outs is actually gonna cause an actual fatal incident.  It's still the safest way to travel but that was based on statistical analysis done when even though flights had stupid people on them, the stupid people just sat and read People magazine.  Now they've been told they're the good ones, and we're the deep passenger state.

Didn't realize this bill was still active.  Before both chambers, a bill to allow for easier/fuller refunds to passengers who have had flights cancelled or long delayed due to airline issues.  This should go over really well with the already robust amount of psychopaths we have up in the air at any one given time.

"Uh ladies and gentleman, welcome to Spirit Airlines.  I regret to inform you that we have to deplane due to a scheduling error.  But you will all be receiving a food court voucher and $14 towards your next flight!"

The Zucker Bros. were so prophetic with that scene in "Airplane!" where all the passengers start brawling in the aisles and Torpedo Tits runs across the still-shot.

If I show her my dick, she might want to fuck me, or cry. It's worth the risk...

It doesn't mention the airline but I'm betting Spirit.

https://www.kxan.com/news/texas/man-admits-to-sexual-acts-on-flight-from-lubbock-to-dallas/

Court records said on March 29, Morris and a 25-year-old woman were sitting in the same row of the airplane, four seats apart. There were no other passengers on that row. As the airplane made the final approach into Lubbock, court records said Morris “removed his penis from his pants and started masturbating while looking at [the woman.]”

The woman saw what Morris was doing and looked again to confirm what was happening. Court documents said the woman was scared and started to cry. She called for flight attendants, who separated Morris and stayed with the woman.

Airport police boarded the plane and spoke with the victim who was visibly upset and shaking, court records said. When police talked to Morris, he told them his “zipper had gotten stuck” and he was trying to fix it when it exposed his private parts. Morris was arrested and police found two plastic bags of cocaine, court documents stated.

On April 1, a special agent with the FBI and an agent with the Department of Homeland Security interviewed Morris, who told authorities he wanted to apologize to the victim. Court records said Morris admitted to inappropriately touching himself in front of the woman. He also told the agents the cocaine was “old” and that he had not used it in a “while.”

On my recent flight to Phoenix, suffered through a good 1 hour of no a/c on tarmac and then another 45 minutes or so upon descent.

On the way off the plane, a lady passed out. When i finally exited, it felt much cooler in first class. Could this be my imagination that first class was cooled and schlubs got nada?

Gonna need to dust off my copy of Das Kapital. This is an outrage!

Oh they’re permitted to get on the flight in the first place. It’d be surprising if she never caused a disturbance before. These people need to be banned forever.

Believe that the airlines are not allowed to share their banned list with each other. Delta asked the DOJ to add unruly passengers to the federal no-fly list in ‘22 but I can’t find any evidence where the govt decided one way or another. I assume the feds don’t want to get involved with mixing suspected terrorists and unruly passengers on the same list.

Spirit has a cheap direct flight from New Orleans to Cancun.   I leave New Orleans mid morning and have lunch on Isla Mujeres.  I normally pack dry wick type clothes and swimsuits in my carry-on (in a vacuum/deflated bag.)

It makes for an easy cheap and fun four day weekend with no gouge fees.

The in-air shenanigans have been minor, and I can put up with a whole bunch for just one hour.   The fact that you need a passport seems to be a filter that removed some of the Walmart element.

The majesty of air travel is over.  Welcome to the commodity market.  Every flight is a crap shoot.

Direct RT from Ft Lauderdale to LAX...  Less than $200 ... It's sooooo cheap.  Sure it's flying bus service, but it's one fucking fast bus.  Noise canceling headphones, downloaded show on Ipad, and low expectations are key.

Also the last Spirit flight I was on was 100% better than the last Jet Blue flight.

It also helps if you don’t have a chappelle show, “keeping it real” attitude.  If someone else is obnoxious or wants the arm rest, you need to let it go. And don’t bring your woman on these airlines if she’s the type to speak her mind to strangers, or has to be right in every discussion. In other words, don’t fly these airlines as the companion of any woman.

I've found that just being nice to people prevents/solves almost every problem.  The wife has a high EQ and isn't into drama.  She's like a fucking wizard she'll know their dog's birthday after a quick convo.  When we travel we go on cheap DIRECT flights.  Last time we flew Spirit, we had dinner every night at Michelin stared restaurants.  Pay for what matters.  Air travel is about getting somewhere cool, not trying to look cool getting there.

Allegedly naked passenger forces Virgin plane to turn around on flight from Perth to Melbourne

Quote

A man who allegedly ran naked down the aisle of a Virgin plane on its way from Perth to Melbourne, knocking a crew member to the floor and forcing the aircraft to turn around, has been arrested by federal police.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has confirmed officers responded to a request for assistance from airline staff travelling on flight VA696 from Perth to Melbourne on Monday night.

The flight took off from Perth Airport around 7:20pm local time and turned back less than an hour later due to a "disruptive passenger on board", according to a Virgin Australia statement.

"We can confirm on Monday 27 May, VA696 Perth to Melbourne, returned to Perth," the statement read.

"On arrival in Perth, the aircraft was met by the Australian Federal Police and the disruptive guest was offloaded."

It's understood staff on board responded appropriately and the plane landed safely.

"The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority and we sincerely apologise to guests impacted," Virgin Australia said.

The ABC understands nobody on board was injured during the incident, but the airline said it would not be commenting further given an investigation was underway.

Man transferred to hospital after arrest

On arrival back to Perth Airport just before 8pm local time, the man was arrested by the AFP.

An AFP spokesperson said it received the call for assistance from airline staff at Perth Airport and was prepared to respond.

"AFP officers arrested a man after he allegedly ran naked through the aircraft mid-flight and knocked a crew member to the floor," an AFP spokesperson said.

"The man was transferred to hospital for assessment, where he remains."

The AFP also said charges the man will face are yet to be finalised, but he is expected to be summonsed to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on June 14.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

Pro-tip with females and flying.

It's worth the money to up to business or first. Put her in a window seat. Use the "executive" lounge for whichever airline your flying.

That avoid 99.9% of potential problems.
