Socialism for the Aggies

Damn that’s nearly an entire football roster. Don’t know why anyone not aggy spends a dime there.

I'm not so sure they do. I've used the facilities there a few times and everyone I see purchasing items looked as Aggie as it gets.

Dude.  There’s a lot of people on here that can’t pass up their beaver nuggets.  Grew in same area where Buccees took off. I still remember seeing Beaver in the bar right after his divorce.  He…was doing OK.  Rumor was wife got the gym and 1mm.   Should have probably negotiated a bit harder.

Are they giving 50 million dollars to the Aggies, too?

Musk gave 30 million to Cameron County schools and City of Brownsville

Is the City of Brownville the Aggies? No?  Does the City of Brownsville go around trumpeting how conservative they are, like every Aggie I know? No?

Perhaps you should start a "Socialism for the City of Brownsville"  thread.

Perhaps you should explain to the readers why a Buc'ees receiving subsidies in Luling, Texas (Guadalupe County) has anything to do with Buc'ees donating money to A&M located in College Station, Texas (Brazos County)?

Maybe it has to do with one of the founders being a Texas A&M graduate?

I want to shit on aggy as much as the next guy, but your post doesn't make any sense.

Many patrons of Buccee's do have a cultish attitude towards the place. They talk about it like Aggies talk about their beloved university. Once inside, they're all just so happy to be in a Buccee's. The sound of the customers has an excited tone like that in the movie lobby where a new Star Wars movie is opening.

I'm sure some customers are like David Dennison who just like some of the stuff there.

I occasionally go into one when I travel. it's the cleanest carnival I've ever been to. As a rule, I just don't like crowded places.

When that Luling one opened, I thought it was a monstrosity but it now seems quaint compared to the ones in Bastrop, Baytown, etc.  Before Luling, they were all just slightly nicer regular sized gas stations.

And $50 million to aggy.  I knew he had to be doing well but damn.

HEB is great, but we're not talking about supermarkets.

The Bucees in Bastrop and New Braunfels are about the size of HEB.

All other things being equal I think HEBs are more numerous (easier to find), less crowded, and they have more of what you need than Bu-cee's has. Bathrooms closer to the entrance too and reasonably clean. Gas prices are competitive as well.

That's cool, but I'm still picking Buc-ee's over HEB on any road trip when I need a snack and a pit stop. When I need groceries, I'm going to HEB.

It’s is Caldwell County’s most professional employer. So I guess it pays to stroke that micro peen to keep him happy?

Other than Luling City Market, there's really not much in Caldwell County to brag about.

Some of y’all need to wrap your heads around this. aggy is going to run the state. No not in football, they’ll keep winning 8 games there. But with that 70K+ student diploma mill they are running these days down in College Station they are growing the cult and more importantly…voters.

Well, at least this guy won't be at A&M.  He has not been accepted.  He is going to....Blinn.

I saw the video of him announcing that he was going to A&M. He treated it like he was accepting an athletic scholarship by switching to an aggie ball cap on the Charlie Kirk show. Now we find out that he's going to a community college.

Admittedly I've had more than 1 friend's kid announce that they're going to Blinn with the addition of the plan to transfer to A&M. Even going as far as acting like the whole Blinn enrollment as a cost-savings move. No, it's not.

Shit, sounds like Blinn might even be on the fence with this fuckstick.

Regardless of whether or not his shooting was justified, there's a 0% chance he brings good attention to your school.

"I'm going to school in College Station..."

In fairness from my time at UT, I never met an ACC student that wasn't transferring to UT next year. And from my uneducated standpoint, more Blinn students do seem to transfer to A&M than ACC to UT. Now I think the reason for this has more to do with the final school's admission policies rather than the community college.

Anecdotal but I have a family member that went to ACC for 1 year 20 years ago. She can't say Austin or ACC without mentioning how she could have transferred to UT but for ~3 reasons that weren't her fault. I understand. Not being 7 feet tall is the only reason I never made the NBA. Not my fault.
