Gladly.

Cottage cheese with some black pepper, paprika, Cavender's, tabasco, and chip crumbles is a staple for me.

And some weirdos eat nacho cheese doritos with buttermilk...

Buddy controlled the jukebox and started off with Hank Sr then progressed to early 70’s rock so plenty of CCR and DB but unfortunately for Brisket, no TS.

I mean, for Christ sakes, I cooked fish that had never been in an ice chest, 10’ from the lake we caught them in, with a white gas coleman stove older than most of the posters on this thread. No offense to any of you Swifties, but no, we didn’t listen to any Taylor Swift.

That brings back some childhood memories.  You always had to be fussing with pumping them up or oiling or replacing the gaskets on those Coleman stoves and lanterns!

Propane models changed that world.  Congrats on sticking with retro approach!  Looked like it worked well on the fish.

What was the mixture you used for the breading on the catifish? And hoe did you make the hush puppies?

Nothing fancy, just salt on the fish, shake them in a ziplock of yellow corn meal. Knock of the excess cornmeal and release into Lake Crisco heated to 350F. Fetch them out when they swim to the top. The hush puppies were Martha White mix with diced pickled jalapeños. Ketchup with hot sauce for the vegetables.

Fish guts and any leftovers into the pond?  Circle of life and whatnot?

Catfish Friday at short stop.

I'd put theirs up against any other joint in the Centex area. Perfectly fried and their tartar sauce is delicious.

Damn. Gonna have to try that.

The short stop close to me is also close to cherry creek, however.

So, just cracked open something we brought back from our trip to the nordics.
Is it a tube of "bacon cheese?"  Yes.  Yes it is.  Think like "Easy Cheese," except squeeze instead of spray can (cuz the Swedes are all environmentally conscious).  It tastes...exactly like you'd expect it to -- so, awesome.  Oh, and it isn't day-glo orange like Easy Cheese because the euros don't let you put dyes and such in food.
